Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Emoticon 5

Thuesday!

Last poll had me ask which one of all the male villains so far in the two LoQO games you liked the most, and it collected 1189  votes!

Altum
Won by 48%, being 575 of the votes.
Valencio
Second with 24%, 291 of the votes.
Seth
Third with 8%, 99 of the votes.
Khaan
Fourth with 8%, 98 of the votes.
R├╝ghart
Fifth with 6%, 80 of the votes.
Kross
Came last, 3% with 46 of the votes.

I should almost be surprised Lord Kross got so few votes...if he weren't such a douche!
And while there are plenty more male villains, most of them had such minor roles, such as Richter, Melforas and Eclipse...but hey, you can't hate them all. xD

So, for this week I'm sharing the last available expression, Masquerade - Normal Expression.
She doesn't have a lot of spotlight in the betas yet, but just like Ra'Tiki, it'll come, be sure of that!
This past week I've pretty much done nothing but improve on what is already in the game, had every reported bug fixed and done a ton of spell/grammar corrections.

Whenever the next beta releases, it'll have a few tweeks, one or two more adult scenes, and hopefully I'll be able to fully unlock the gallery so people can start tracking down and collecting those precious illustrations and get fapping! There should be around 50-60 of them, but you won't be able to unlock all of them at once of course, need to space them out some!

Site-wise, I think I'm starting to run out of ideas when it comes to polls...
So, don't be shocked if I can't think of something next week. ;P
But it had a good run, and I also believe we got most questions out in the air!

I'll see you again next week!

  4. Glad to hear things are going well.

Personally, I was afraid at first of how I would take to Young Farah at first, seeing as I was expecting a shameless, moral-less girl that just fucks for money and does her donkey show, from the townsfolk dialogue and posters.

But I felt much better once she got introduced and showed lots of humanity (while still enjoying getting her tits out of course).

Hope the rest of the cast can follow Farahs example in character depth.

    1. Jake was rather...feeble minded and very womanizing, could be why. xD
And LoQOII could still be played, even with all the adult content turned off!

    3. It's still three years away from being finished, so I'd say it's a little early to say that...but it's totally possible. :3

  6. hi gabe i love your game
i read Legend of Queen Opala: Origin will like the first Legend of Queen Opala i mean you can choose to become good guy or bad guy
i have some input to your game if there is you can choose route especially bad guy route
why dont add option where hero can kill everybody even npc or your party member( killing frenzy time hehehe )
it would be awesome to kill annoying npc and useless party member rather than keep them on your party or any npc you dont like no matter who or what they are
    or
rather than finish quest you can right away kill quest giver and take the reward or finish your quest bring quest item to npc then kill him take the item back and also take the reward
ps : i love to kill sebastilion cause i dont share my bitch hehehe and sorry for my english

    1. Woah, I can't even imagine why anyone would want to kill any of the lovely party members. Poor Farah or Gabrielle, all the sex they have yet to have, so many cocks left unsucked.

    2. come on there must be some asshole characters in this game you don't like and for me any person who touch female char like Gnoll in nazadina
and rather than be ordinary bad guy why you don't become some mean evil tyrant like first game
and for record im fan of farah

    3. Hehe, the problem with going around killing everyone is that it makes the character list for the sequel very, very slim. ;)

    4. Well Oddy Joker, I can understand not liking Gnoll or some of the more abusive characters, as much as I like the Gabrielle cards as whole, I didn't like some of the ones where it was an overtly "raped" or "pimped out like a dollar whore" theme, mainly the "2nd phase" series with the gold mask..

Killing someone like him though would be harsh and not really in the spirit of the game (even Seth could had a good ending). But killing party members? Given that we know some of them. The Magihound, Farah, Gabrielle, Laquadia, Ra'Tiki and Masquerade, which ones are you actually planning to kill and why? I'm curious.

Now truth be told, killing NPCsas part of the moral choice (the man at the edge of the cliff in Rockgard for example) is fine and I can see why one would do it. But if I imagine that you plan on being able to just kill shopkeepers, random townsfolk etc, that would be a bit ridiculous even by evil choice standards.

As just a final thought, it can be a bit "jealousy building" at times in some of the art and story, I just put that down to myself not getting any action in real life. :-P

  7. Loqo2 was overall better game but i really liked split pathing and slaving the girls in the first one and would enjoy that again. Oh, and i really liked the voice scenes but i think you've said before you don't want to do them again.
Also a side note, why do you write "Thuesday"? I'm not sure if its a swedish thing but unless i'm not understanding something, it's supposed to be "Tuesday."

    1. The path splitting was only because due to have incredible tiny the game was, especially if you only take into account the story.
And yeah, I noticed with the last update that it's Tuesday and not Thuesday...people have been letting me slip up for months, jerks! ;)

    2. In my defense I thought you were doing it on purpose

  8. Masquerade definitely made quite a first impression in the Beta! Like other comments have said, you do a good job showing a character's personality through their dialog and actions. It's good when you use your writing to show emotion to the fullest extent, and I think the emoticons help with that!

I am thoroughly impressed that you fixed all the bugs that got reported so far. Now we'll have to work twice as hard to find more! Good luck fixing any spelling and grammar issues as well - a lot of it might be minor changes, but it does make text read better when your brain doesn't have to stop on an error.

If you do want to keep making polls, what do you think about making them relevant to an aspect of Beta development? For instance, writing a line of dialog 2 different ways and letting people vote on which way they like better and commenting on why might give you some more insight on writing. Or something like "Did LOQO2 have enough ores for mining? - Too Much/Just Right/Not Enough" or "What was your favorite town from LOQO2? - List of Towns" or etc. Questions that give you insight about what people liked in the previous games might help inspire you in LOQO-Origins.

  9. Legend of queen opala 2 is better in my opinion the LOQO 1. However in terms of pron, LOQO 1 beats LOQO 2 because of the audio sex scenes. I still open up the first game now and then whereas I rarely play the second game. LOQO1 is quite stimulating, especially with all the artwork available with the game.

Don't get me wrong both games are good. But in terms of pron, LOQO1 beats the latter.

    1. No, I understand. :)

LoQO 1 is a more compact game since it was so much smaller, it was more difficult to space out scenes and bonus content in LoQO 2 since it was such a huge game...but I've learned from both, and hope LoQO Origin will also have the best of both. ^^

  11. Well...I've tried Zeroarchives, zeroarchive, ZeroArchives, ZeroArchive and zeroarchives. Not a one worked.

  13. So Gabe I have a question I just beat the current beta and I have to say its amazing there is a lot to it already now I was wondering when will Opala and the rest of them show up will they be in the first episode or will we have to wait till the second episode

    1. Only time will tell, I try to get a natural flow of characters being introduced, rather than having them all squished into episode 1 for the sake of being there. :)

  14. i'm gonna be honest here, as i am a huge fan of both loqo and the arkham series, i'm having a hard time not imagining masquerade with harley quinn's voice.

maybe once i actually get to play the game the different personalities will change my perception of her...maybe.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Then it probably won't help the voice actress for Masquerade is a Harley Quinn cosplayer/fan and has the same kind of voice as the Arkham one... ;)

    2. .....in that case, rather than changing my perception, i'll ask if you could please include a reference to either an ex-boyfriend "Mr.J", an aversion to/affinity for "bats", or an intense craving/love of "puddin".

  15. Heya folks, Anyone else having trouble at Port ronod in the beta? I talked to every npc and cant find anything.

    1. Without getting into any spoilers, you can go both left (West) and right (East) at the end of main entrance to Rondo. Does that help?

I mentioned to Gabe that more signage or landmarks would be good, and specifically had Ronod in mind because initially I did not know you could go right. If there are still similar situations in the next build I'll try to give more detailed feedback to Gabe with screenshots.

    2. Well, im doing the story quest that leads you there. Idk what to do once I get there, Is that the end of the beta?
