The beta was released over the weekend, although it had a few issues I were told about and quickly corrected before re-uploading the game within 24 hours of the initial launch.

It goes without saying that most of the past week leading up to that point was finishing up on some content and prepping the beta to be as ready for release as I could make it.
Since then I noticed a few issues with the overhauled Magna Gerulus and have been working on fixing those issues, which are all related to graphical glitches or parts not properly updated.

And that's about it really, so I'll see you around next Tuesday instead!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - The Eminent Quartet

Alright, the next beta will indeed be out this weekend!

Everything involving the Eminent Quartet should be polished by this point, and the new area in Brightstone has been updated with NPC and the usual fluff to make it feel more alive.
Speaking of the courtesans, while their pixel content won't be finished in time, below you can see a preview of how they're meant to look once their in-game placeholders are switched out.
From left to right, we have Princess Zinnia, Queen Lobelia, Sultana Azalea and Empress Lavender.
It's worth mentioning these won't be in-depth characters like your party, but more akin to the various shopkeepers that joins Castle Warrengard during the course of the game.

Another feature I've added is more hunting gear usage than just capturing various small animals.
This in form of gemstone scarabs, each granting you a jewel you can either sell for profit or use to craft rings at the jeweler in Brightstone. (Which was introduced last week)

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Week 22 / 2025

It took way long than anticipated, but after extensive experimentation and playtesting, I finally nailed down the aftermath of The Eminent Quartet sidequest with the tools at the player's disposal.
The only compromise I had to make was increasing the amount of monsters you need to have captured for your prison before you can start the chain of sidequests, from 10 to 14.
I think it'll still be a few weeks before the finalized version of the characters involved have their pixel sprites done, so the next beta will unfortunately have placeholders instead to not hold it off further.
I believe the update will drop the coming week, although I'll have a more precise date next Tuesday.

I've also included a new area to Brightstone, mostly to add a shop that deals with jewelry and to move the wagon service from another section of the town to the new location.
