This week has been all about storymode!
That's right, the cutscenes and the branching choice I've been adding over the last couple of months have all been fully finished and chained together to the point you're back in the Empire.
It had a few hiccups, but I should have enough time to playtest and fix those problems before the next beta is released on Friday.

And if something unforseen happens and I miss that tight window with a day or two, I'll personally send a download link to everyone who had the appropriate pledge during September, in case you specifically supported that month for the beta and weren't planning to renew for October.
Nothing more to report besides that, it literally was all about story this week!

So I'll see you next Tuesday, one beta release later!

The next beta is fast approaching, yo!
So among all of the things that need wrapping up, this week I finished adding the "Cirque des Monstres" location that can appear in a few different spots, along with a new sidequest called "Gotta Catch 'Em All" that'll be something of a world tour...I mean, within the explorable areas that can fit in the game, as the namesake might suggest!

The Encyclopedia has been updated too and Castle Warrengard has its Hunter Board.
More CG Scenes that had missing art styles has been corrected and...uhh, that's all I can remember doing at the top of my head.

One more Tuesday before the following beta drops, so I'll see you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Week 37 / 2023

Worldbuilding is the word of the week!
Additional statues and busts have been made with already existing ones edited as well, along with adding interractions to all of them to let you know who is depicted on each bust, statue etc.
Only busts of Laquadia, yet not a single one with the freaking Emperor Augustus himself!? Fixed, and I also threw in a bonus there of the late Empress Alvastasia, as I figured it would make sense to have at least some kind of evidence the mother of Frederick and Francesca lived alongside her husband at some point in the past and to give some clue of how she might've looked like.

The questline for Grandmaster Pai'Zuri has been finished too, with his third/last sidequest letting you learn his signature move...that's right, the Slide-Nip-Twirl Nuk Nuk! Like the previous two orders you could learn from him, this one will also be a mechanic in itself and not be a damage dealer.
I'm also planning an amusing way to pull it off outside of battle...huyk huyk huyk...

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Week 36 / 2023

The workflow for this week has been all over the place!
As in, I've done a bit of just about everything, from fiddling around with scripts, continuing adding the drawers/cabinets sound effects, making new and editing existing assets, to even spending some time on Osira's upcoming CG Scene.

I also mentioned a while back I was looking into improving textboxes and how emoticons are displayed, and I believe I might've figured out the best way to move forward, which would allow emoticons to be about three times larger without clashing with anything else on screen.
Applying that would be a rather massive undertaking though, so I'll probably have to save working on it until after the next beta which should be released later this month.
