I don't really know where to begin...
This is going to be another of those slimmer updates, but it'll pack a ton of good news!
For the last three days combined, I've gotten a total of 20 hours of pure work done and it feels great! Counting this entire week - half of what little story remained in episode 1 has been completed and I've looked over the entire game to make small changes, depending on if you play as human or beastman.
I've also given Beatrix more dialogue, completely finished and added costume swapping/unlocking AND rounded up 10 more trading cards!
So there you go, a small but rich dose of update information. xD
But right now, I feel so hyped I just want to head straight back into development and do more...
So that's exactly what I'll be doing!
See you again next week, maybe with news that the storymode in episode 1 is finished!
Keep up the good work and will we be able to recruit illumi to our party during origin even if it's not in episode 1?
ReplyDeleteI'd imagine that would be a reward after finding all of the dimensional shards
DeleteThat is too early to say. :)

ReplyDeletegood job XD
ReplyDeleteThanks! x3
DeleteHave you fixed Val'Toras dialouge in one instance it's not very clear if he's talking about himself or the siblings.
ReplyDeleteBut Real good news I had a similar problem with my forced vacation but now that im back to work it feels great vactation is great but not when it's forced.
You're probably referring to Vhazar, I'll look over that. :)
DeleteNice, nice good news all around for everyone and always happy to here when someone enjoys what they do. And i'm very excited to to try out the costume swapping/unlocking its a feature, milan fashion week is coming to the LOQO universes! XD
ReplyDeleteYes indeedies! x3
DeleteGlad to hear things are looking so good.
ReplyDeleteConsidering I haven't been touching the Betas since the second one, I'm guessing my mind (and by that I mean my pants) is going to be blown by it.
Dang! Yeah, then you have a lot of catching up to do! x3
DeleteGood to hear we're truckin' along, Gabe. Now that you've cranked out all this work of yours, have you got an ETA in your head on when episode one can be out? What's going to be the limiting factor on this, the story work, the programming, or waiting on more art?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping I'll be able to release episode 1 at the end of this month.
DeleteI think the biggest factor is if I'll be able to find the right mood to finish off the last two mini-scenes I wanted in the episode, but I don't think it would make a huge difference to cut them out for the sake of releasing the game sooner.
They could always be included in a 1.01 version of episode 1 or something. x3
Hey i was wondering Gabriel What kinda difference will be between human vs Beastman? nothing hugely detailed of course that is why we will play the crap out of this! but some kind of a basic idea would be nice to know if possible.
ReplyDeleteWell your character will of course look different everywhere, such as when exploring, in battle and during adult scenes, the Beastman Mode CG is also illustrated by a different artist.
DeleteThere will also be more subtle changes into text so you never get a human reference while playing as a beastman, and vice versa. :)
thank you for the info and the great work!
DeleteI hope there is a comment about bring a hourseman from the keeper's daughter at the Highland Inn... you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteKD: Welcome to Highland Inn- oh aren't you a big steed.
MC (houseman): Hello, we would like to spend the night in your rooms.
KD: Well if can, you can always come to the stable at night.
MC: I think I will be fine.
KD: I wasn't talking about sleeping.
MC: ...oh
x3
DeleteYou just wrote a mini-scene
