Since we're back at square one with episode II rolling into production, there isn't a whole lot to say!
I've been taking it "easy" this week after the release of the first episode, if you consider spending most of the days being bombarded with questions and answering them to be relaxing. ;)
You may also notice the poll voting is back!
But instead of weekly, it'll be done monthly - though I must say I'm fascinated it's mostly rather even between all options, almost like the game has such a variety of characters to appeal to everyone. ^^
So how about it, have you been enjoying Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Episode I so far?
Yes!! im still doing all the collectibles though ^^u
ReplyDeleteHmm i cant seem to find CG scenes 13 or 15 anyone know where to get them?
DeleteI believe scene 13 comes from collecting all the dimensional shards and is a scene with Illumi.
DeleteScene 15, I haven't figured out yet. I have a few ideas and am in the process of an NG+ to see if any of them work.
Really? i got them all but i didnt get anything :/
Deleteok tell me if you find out ^^
Did you turn in your shards to Illumi and ask for a certain reward?
DeleteYes she only gives me the Footjob scene :/ and after that nothing :(
DeleteNevermind i got it, U need 2 Renegade options and then tell her u dont like her "personal reward" then u get the other choice :)
DeleteAs for 15 i found out its a scene with Teen Farah and a Snake in the Club she works at but i cant find out how to get it :/
That's right. Sorry, I forgot to write anything else about scene 13.
DeleteAs for 15.......I have no idea how to get that and I was WAY off base with anything I thought of.
Dudes, thanks for finding that one! I was already convinced the two CGs I was missing simply weren't available in Episode I.
DeleteAbout the other CG, so it's the one that's dispayed during the mode selection screen? Hm, The Heavenly Fate isn't the only nightclub featuring exotic dancing in the game, are you sure it may not be possible connected to the Gentleman's club instead?
Oh u got a point and yes its the same
DeleteDefinately enjoying it, to the point there is nothing left to do for me in the game already. Seriously you have trumped even your previously high standarts.
ReplyDeleteIt even motivated me to pick up the second game again. I never managed to reach 100% completion since I played each individual episode before the full release on his own which caused the portrait bug.
Sadly after 35 hours of LoQO II (this time even with all portraits), I noticed I triggered yet another bug which makes 100% completion impossible.
And that's a little bit sad (._. )
I'll probably pick it up again after my frustration has deminished though, gotta have something to do while waiting for the second episode of Origin.
Small question though: Adult Farah's affection is the only one the Orb of Restoration does not reset, is that a bug or by design?
Because it's already maxed out for me and I hope that won't cause trouble with episode II.
I'm glad to hear that, it's what I was aiming for. x3
DeleteAnd really...? Hmm, I'll look into that.
But it shouldn't be any problem, just means a future beta/release would go back to resetting her affection properly the next time you used the Orb of Restoration. :3
Thanks for replying. (^-^)
DeleteSpeaking of future releases, will there be an update once Farah's VA has delivered her lines or will we have to wait till episode II's release to hear her voiced?
Here are my pros and nitpicks for your game. It's really good, but it's always good to tell the flaws, so don't hate me :p
ReplyDeletePro :
- Way better for collectionists, there is the completion of each zone, making it easier to find the last one without the wiki
- Running boots in the first city
- Infinite restarts, I missed one scene in the 2nd game, and am in new game ++, can't get it
Nitpicks :
- You really like treachery in your story, don't you? ^^ Your story (so far) is a little bit predictable
- Can't you make running a general toggle, not having to enable it each map? and why no running in caves?
- The zone completion doesn't include everything, like games of prediction, can be misleading
"So how about it, have you been enjoying Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Episode I so far?" WELL............... Love the way you designed the map, everything's a lot more compact into to two clear clusters and the overlooks really give the region a mountinus feel. The progression manual is definitely a welcomed addition although i think things you can't fully completed in ep1 should be just left out of the progression manual, till you can fully complete it. As for the combat its by the numbers you kill enemies, you get xp, you level up, you get skills, you use the skills on bosses, rinse and repeat oh and people read the skills text, the bosses are easy if you know which skill to use! Now for the good stuff, really liked that you put a scene right at the beginning, it's a little taste of things to come and that's awesome! And as for the scenes in general got to say i really like the fact that there was a little more emphasis on the one on one scenes, definitely rooting for more of that! As for the writhing in the scenes it definitely takes the images to a new level of Aooh ya so two thumbs up there. And i got to say i really enjoyed the side quests and the references to past events and in my opinion the side quests really breathe in life into the world! And the collectables are always fun to collect. So ya i enjoyed ep 1 alot and i can't wait for ep 2 andd cant wait th get my dirty hands on the Gabrielle and Beatrix scenes!:P Well i'm of to make me some chips!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this is an age where the internet has made us weak and we can't resist the allure of having hints when we play our games.
ReplyDeleteEpisode I was very enjoyable. I remember having a bit of a busy schedule but it was hard to keep my schedule knowing Origin was right there waiting for me.
The story mode is brilliant, and outdoes LoQO II, if not rivaling it, and the characters are really interesting. I didn't know whether Crayden was a good guy or bad guy upon my initial glance at him, and I liked that.
More importantly, the female characters in Origin are VERY fun to interact with, and that's an huge factor, I should think. I've taken a liking to all of them, and I adore Adult Farah's somewhat new design. I said before how I liked Opala's new emoticon, so I'm really looking forward to seeing her in Episode II (Or III!).
Now Laquadia... wow, you really outdid yourself with Laquadia. You've created a bitch that I find too hard to hate. I love Laquadia. I voted her on the poll, by the way.
Getting into the technical stuff, the teleportation crystal room, most excellent. I like how it involves a story with rewards now.
I am curious though, are the Dimensional Shards related to the main story, or is it a side quest apart from it?
That said, we owe you a huge applause for the effort that you've put into this game which we love playing so much.
Enjoy the rest of your week. Take all the time you want! You most definitely deserve it!
Hell yeah I have hehe fantastic job Gabe!!
ReplyDeleteHi Gabe,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on outdoing yourself and releasing another stellar game! I'd list all the things I love about Origins if I could, but I think it would exceed the character limit... So I'll list my top 3 instead:
1. Eastern, Western, and Beastman Mode – You have so many talented artists with various styles that there we're bound to like some more than others. But fortunately, with three different artists for each CG scene, there's something for everyone! Well done on implementing Beastman Mode (my current favorite) and finding an incredible replacement for the Eastern Mode!
2. Voice Acting – The actresses for Origins are the best yet. Masquerade sounds exactly like a certain DC character we all know and love, and Osira's new voice is just... perfect. Can't wait to hear the rest!
3. Multiple Outfits – I don't know why, but I find the ability to dress up each character strangely appealing. I was thrilled to have Gabrielle lose the jacket and travel in only her trademark bra and jeans. Fingers crossed that the outfits only get skimpier!
If anyone bombards you with questions about when the next episode is coming out, know that it's only because we're addicted to a wonderful experience that only you can provide. But the rest of us know that you deserve a break more than anyone. So again, congratulations on the release, and we look forward to what's coming next!
One thing that always bothered me was the status system, it only shows certain affects. If there's a way to show buffs and debuffs in a different way like little icons or something that would make me happy.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Gabrielle, but alas, i must choose Beatrix, you may take giant horse cocks, but Beatrix speaks swedish, Beatrix gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the game and cannot wait for more.
ReplyDeleteSorry the pole wasn't multiple choice......Beatrix, Masquerade and Gabrielle are all current favorites.
Is it just me or is Teen Farah just not very good in combat? Sure shes quick but her standard attack is one of the weakest (maybe even THE weakest) and she doesn't have any magic elemental attacks. She really should have come with a sort of Heal over Time spell like "Soothing Dance" or w/e. I ended up replacing her with Ra'Tiki as soon as I could. >_>
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I voted Gabs (of all the listed I like Osira the best but she just didn't have enough screen-time to warrant voting for her).
Yo! I'd like to hand you some money but I'm not too fond of Patreon. Any chance to get Flattr buttons on this blog?

ReplyDeletecan you tell me where can i find the mini scene 07 please?
i collected every things in games like treasure maps portraits illustration trading card and dimensional shard but i have not mini scene 07

Sorry if this has been asked already but what is the point of those save crystals that crack after one use when you can save freely anytime?
ReplyDeleteTo mark dangerous locations where it's recommandable to save, like before a boss fight.

ReplyDeleteAmazing episode swegabe! Couldn't help but laugh when beatrix said "helsike, vad du skräms!" Can't wait until we get to virtually bang her. XD
ReplyDeleteI noticed there is no voice acting for Farah yet. Do you plan on adding them later?
ReplyDeleteMore Hero scenes with cast!!! Awesome game by the way
ReplyDeleteGabe i have a question: Are u a women or a man?
ReplyDeleteI love your games, keep doing that awesome work :)
Well the first episode felt a bit short compared to the first one of LoQO2 but was overall a good episode (it scored a lot in the gameplay section).
ReplyDeleteThe sprint shoes (which in my opinion are essential for completing the game) are available from the start this time (the quizmaster in the tavern of Collusia hands them to you)...
I liked that the protagonist was kind of open-minded being a rightful knight and all but also doing everything necessary to save his friends and stuff.
CG-whise we get bombarded from the very beginning and although we have about 7 real scenes we have a lot of mini-scenes to make up for it.
We really get spammed with Laquadia pics from the get-go (which is a very attractive fictional character but still, show the other girls some love too especially Mu'Tiki and Beatrix ;) ).
One really sad thing is that Opala is the only romancable individual to not show up in the game at all (hereby I mean scene-whise)...
I hope that LoQO:O Part Two will bring us a bit of backstory not so much from Laquadia and her brother (since this is something that should be revealed during the end/final confrontation with them) but moreso of Illumi/Beatrix/Masquerade.
The game has its ups and downs in terms of atmosphere which is good considering that this game SHOULD have a deeper story to stand out amongst the other Hentai RPGs out there.
I personally hope to see some Gabe pics through the protagonist's amulet (which also needs some background infos) and also more backstory from the individual antagonists (why doesn't he say protagonists? 'cause that's what the camp nights are there for - to slowly fill you in on their personal grudges/fears/feelings towards the protagonist/etc.)
I also miss that you can't dialogue your party members in the taverns since this gave me a better overview of when I can talk to them for some new topics...
Overall this episode would get a rating of 8.5/10
That's it for me till next Tuesday update :D
Gabe, Im confused....what's the deal with Farah? I see 2 of them o.o
ReplyDeleteI don't know as well I guess this will be a plot-twist towards the middle/end of the game...
DeleteMy speculation goes so far that the Farah that travels with you may be her past version.
Naluna may have travelled to the past to somehow put the necklace on her for some scheme which may be revealed towards the end of the game.
But we also don't know when this game takes place - does it take place after LoQO 2, being a direct sequel or maybe even several years after that ?
We don't know what happened to the An'Terra which (as we saw towards the end of the game raped Naluna as we saw.
Also how come Laquadia didn't know that Osira took care of the serpent god ? We knew this fact since LoQO 1...
So yeah all we can do is speculate :/
The anterra are fighting in namaria, it says right in the opening text crawl for the game. And what exactly do you mean with Osira "taking care of" the serpent god? That didnt happen in any of the games.
DeleteReally? I could have sworn that Osira got her powers from the serpent god and shortly afterwards killed him... well maybe I didn't remember it all too well...
DeleteAlso, isn't Collusia in Namaria, or at least somewhere close to Namaria ?
Had to learn for about four upcoming tests, so some information may have missed me while playing the game :P
It's all good. Osira got her powers from the serpent god, but it's still alive and kicking. Fwiw Osira does plan on killing him, but hasn't yet.
DeleteThe beldorian empire is to Nameria's north
Hi Gabe
ReplyDeletecan you tell me where can i find the mini scene 07 please?
Will we be able to use our Episode 1 Save file when you release Episode 2 or do we have to start all over again?
ReplyDeleteYou'll be able to carry over your save. :)
DeleteThe first episode was great, it was definetely enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteFor the best parts I'd like to note those:
- Party relationships. This part is progressing from game to game. First chapter - it was just mercinaries; chapter two - they were great friends and comrades. In Origins it feels like they are even more so - so friendly, so close, so interactive.
- The characters. Especially young Farah - at the start I was afraid, that she will be shadowed by her elder self, Opala and other characters from before... but than I become so fond of her personality and story.
- The atmosphere. It this fantastic feeling from combination of music, story, characters, dialogs, enviroment... it's just majestic. And magical.
For the good parts, that I absolutely enjoyed, though i'd like to see them a little better:
- It's just great to be able to run right from the start. LoQO II was rather tiresome in this, when you need to make it through a lot of game with this measured leisurely stroll. Now it's far better, but it's just soooo painful when you enter those great spacious caverns and dungeons to be immediately slowed down...
- Plot. It's definetely nice - all those mysteries, intrigues and stuff. But it was a little... how to put it... recurring? For example, that Ozira it seems is again plotting against her family. It would be just so great, if during next episode we would found out, that she really changed during the events of the first two games.
What I'd like to see in the nest episodes:
- Recurring characters from previous games - I'd really like to know their fates or meet them in the game.
- Party little talks - like it was in secong game, when you can meet one of you comrades in town. Or may be even witness some their activities (or even scenes) if look for at the right place at the right time.
P.S. I am really sorry for any mistakes in grammatics etc, it's just English not my spoken language.
Really enjoying the game, although i wish there was more Layla, hopefully I can get her as my Bang Maid in another episode yes?
ReplyDeleteany1 can tell me how to get CG 9(bottom right)page1 ,11(up middle)page2 and 15(center right)page2???
ReplyDeleteI'm having a bit of trouble. I'm trying to do the "introduction" quest to get the lockpick, but I forgot to do it until after I escaped escaped prison, acquired Kythe, Gabrielle and Farah, and got to Brightstone. Now I'm back to Colussia but I see no one at the park in Colussia...
ReplyDeleteSo I just restarted the game and manage to do the quest. Since the guy is no longer there, does this mean I lost the lockpick for good and have to restart... or can I still acquire it?
DeleteThere are multiple ways of acquiring the lockpick.
DeleteI just finished it the finished it the first time yesterday and I gotta say I love it! Masquerade was hard to beat but it just made beating her all the more rewarding. I am going back to try to collect everything. I have played the second game and loved it as well but I never was able to find the first game and was wondering if someone knows where it was or show me a link. I would appreciate it very much.
ReplyDeleteGabrielle is the best to me. More scenes for her and for her to actually be fuckable by the character.
ReplyDeleteOpinions on the game:
ReplyDeletePros:
1. Fighting system is a bit better? Mostly the same but what I mean is that it feels like there's a bit more diversity (like how in LOQO2 all characters had a multi-target attack but this time not everyone does).
2. Voice acting is great. Masquerade is so fun. She's my personal fave (which is weird cuz I did not expect to really like her when she was first announced). Looking forward to the Farahs having voiceovers.
3. Being able to sprint early on is a godsend considering how the maps are bigger and more complicated (tho not being able to run in dungeons is a pain especially when in the sewers.)
4. The game's difficulty feels a little bit more balanced. No super annnoying status-inducing enemy yet.
5. The minigames are fun. Yay for gambling.
6. Being able to check your completion per area is really handy.
Cons (most of these are just my personal gripes and mean no offense):
1. There is a huuuge difference in the art of the emoticons and of the illustrations. I mean, Laquadia is one hell of a beauty in the emoticon, but her CGs and illustrations just make me go 'meh'. I'm not an artist and I know I am sounding like an ass for saying this, but it's just my personal opinion.
2. Boss fights are REALLY hard. I had Gold Equipment (I assume that was the best equipment at the time) by the time I fought the Golem in the Tiki forest and Masquerade and my damage was extremely low unless I used Farah's seduction to lower their def or Rage to boost my Atk. The difference in difficulty between them and the normal enemies that can be encountered around that part of the game is insane.
3. The Crystal Fragment is one of the most important items but it can only be obtained at night. this was a problem for me because I only discovered its whereabouts waaaaaay late in the game. Sure, it's my bad, but it's something that I just wanted to get off my chest.
4. I didn't like how we were made to hate Laquadia and her brother so quickly but get shown Laquadia taken down by Osira so fast. I mean, we all knew it would happen since we all know Osira, but that was way too quick.
Wth all that said, I'm patiently awaiting the nest part of the series. Great work.
I feel you can cheese any boss in the game with the HP and MP pots. =/ Farah's dance and the Magihound's Break both work to greatly lower the boss' defense.
DeleteDebuffs are kind of lousy in this game. They have too low a chance to hit, stop working if you hit the mob and you can only see one active. Bosses shouldn't be dependant on debuffs if they have these millstones hanging around their necks.
Deletehi
ReplyDeletedoes anybody know where can i find the mini scene 07?
if you know tell me please
thanks
If possible, making repeatable scenes for some tent action with Farah or with any other cast memeber when it becomes available for the MC or anywhere at all. Just like it when you can do something more than once with some minor changes.

ReplyDeleteIs it possible to clear Collusia. There is one cabinet I can't open in the house with two mercenaries outside. I have the lockpick set and the torsion wrench.

Deletenot sure if this if this is a glitch or not, but for the gold helm i need ragnarok hide and ceramic, while all other gold items require gold and basic mineral.
ReplyDeleteI'll look into that!
