I'm pretty impressed 41 gamers actually took down the bosses while being below lvl.10, especially the "infamous" bridge blocker. xD
As for game progression, the Castle Warrengard arc is almost finished with a second boss fight being added along with polishing and making sure all the additional areas are completed as well.
I've also begun the excruciating process of replacing every old ME with newly composed ones, AKA inn sleeping, finding illustrations, unlocking content etc. jingles.
It's not as simple as just replacing the song file in the system, but instead I manually exchange them in every single location they are played, it's this mentality that ensures my games are rather low on the bug count...slow and steady wins the race, and all that. ;)
Although I may have to hold off on changing the titles unlocking melody until after the December the 20th beta is released since it'll take a ton of time/work.
In other news, I think it's too soon to tease any specific details yet, but know that the next character preview you'll likely see here within a month will be the introduction to Festival Island's new owner and mascot in the LoQO series, Puta Bananas!
So yeah, see you again next week!
True that boss i a pain at lower levels barely managed at lvl 6 don't want to try that again. Its wonderful to read that the story is progressing.
ReplyDeleteLvl.6!? You crazy...!
DeleteMan got super lucky. The A.I. was probably a crapshoot and missed nearly every attack so he could win with just potions and revives. No other way. Boss would've one shotted his whole team otherwise.
DeleteYou gotta tell me what game you were playing that lead you to that conclusion. Because that never happens not in the previous games and not in this one without the player using certain skills to make the enemy miss multiple times in a row.
DeleteIt happens in any all games especially rpg game maker games. I'm assuming you know the game goes through a number of calculations when determining whether you/A.I. hits or gets hit. There is always a chance you'll hit or miss or the A.I. will hit or miss. Once in a blue moon, you'll find yourself facing a very hard boss or creature and the A.I. will miss you nearly every time simply because you got really lucky. I know it's happened to me at least 15 times.
DeleteThen you should play the lottery with that luck! Because that never happens to me, ever just a random miss once in a blue moon but that's about it.
DeleteI should probably mention that it happened 15 times over the course of my entire life(two decades)
DeleteOn another note, the bosses probably need to reworked because if people are winning the game at level 6 then the bosses are not doing their job as beef gates.

DeleteBy what you're saying the bosses in dark souls aren't doing their job and need a rework to, because people have beaten them at lvl 1!
DeleteThere are always going to be outliers betting games unconventionally!
Dark souls is bit different but the same. Different system, a wider world with multiple options in front of you. You can trick the boss into falling off a cliff or remove all your armor to be a speed demon at dodging. However even in Dark Souls you gotta grind. Bosses in any RPG are there to force you to grind and buy better gear.
DeleteSure that's one reason to have a boss but that's definitely not the end all be all of a boss!
DeleteStory, pacing or to teach the player how the enemy's work later on, many games have used bosses in the beginning that later on are just normal enemies.
I'll give you that. Still, it's a problem when you can bullshit your way through a good RPG game at level 6.
DeleteThe way i see it there a small exception to the rule, outliers. And those are always gonna be there.
DeleteI don't think that there's enough of a reason to start rebalancing bosses in any game just because someone said: "Pfff i beat this game lvl 1 with the starting weapons Ez" even if they did they're the exception!
If I may be bold, there is one thing Dark Souls and LoQO Origin has in common, each boss has indeed at least one weakness to exploit if you play smart.
DeleteSo if you have the right strategy, you could in theory beat most bosses while being underleveled.
Only time will tell...but yes, probably.
ReplyDelete.....Puta Bananas?
ReplyDeleteOh I know that (I'm half Mexican and I was told that puta in Spanish means bitch) I was just surprised that Gabe would use that and curious if she meant it as intended lol
DeleteHUEBR?
DeleteOh, I know what puta means... ;)
DeleteWell, the more relationships between girls and horses there are in the game, the better. Especially, if the girls don't look like nymphomaniacs at first glance.
ReplyDeleteAre there going to be more trading cards in the upcoming update?
ReplyDeleteMore of everything. :)
DeleteNice, looks like the new areas are gonna be ready for a thurow and proper exploration, Castle Warrengard i hope your ready for that back dash, because the night is young!
ReplyDeleteTo some extend, yes!
DeleteGood because those new lands are in dire need of some proper plo...exploring!
DeleteThat goes double for the castle, Even snake is going "Mmm i what to fulton that"
Puta Bananas!? HUEBR?
ReplyDeleteSwegabe for honor your Gabrielle,Laquadia,Illumi and Masquerade.I made this artwork for you.Behold http://lordtrigonstar.deviantart.com/art/Ladies-Artwork-From-LOQO-2-648908362.
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly, I appreciate it! :D
Delete41 people won under lvl 10? That's bullshit. The only possible reasons they won is because either the Ai was a crapshoot and missed every attack or they gained all the money possible up to that point on potions. Because if you don't armor your characters especially Farah, the boss will one shot you.
ReplyDeleteSay, is the level cap actually the lvl. crayden has when your'e around with him? For me at least that would be a small downer given that at the end of episode 1 my team is already lvl. 21-23.
ReplyDeleteI think it's always been up to 99 lvl.
DeleteYess 99 is the level cap.
DeleteOMG how did I forget this weeks update?
ReplyDeleteToo busy playing LoQOO or possibly Final fantasy 15 or pokemon sun/moon maybe? XD
DeleteShame on you for having a life!
DeleteLol
