Got an idea for a mini-game. Something like a “Sex arena”.
ReplyDeleteEssentially, it’s similar to the mini-game that was in a special brothel back then in LoQO II, but wider and more interesting.
So, the idea is: in a special location you can put any of your female companions against thugs, monsters or beasts. The girls will have to copulate with as many “opponents” as they can. Appropriate hardcore pictures will accompany the process.
There may also be an attribute system. For example, the more levels a girl gains in a certain skill category, the easier for her it gets to “defeat” an enemy. Rewards for the winning can be whatever you want.
A feature to upgrade this arena would make the mini-game even better. The upgrades can be anything from increasing the diversity of the opponents to improving the popularity of the arena.
What do you think about it, Gabe?

1) in my concept differences between opponents mean a lot: you have to go from smaller creatures to bigger ones if you want your girls to achieve new levels and skills. Moreover, it's necessary for gaining more benefits;
2) the main goal in my concept is to try to "beat" as many opponents in a row as you can.
I also suggest:
1) different sensations from the gameplay (imagine a girl in the center of an arena surrounded by a huge excited audience and trying to copulate with her opponents instead of killing them - kind of a sexualised gladiatorial duel);
2) different location (an open arena with hundreds of spectators instead of a closed brothel);
3) more girls to participate (every single female companion at best);
4) more possible upgrades and benefits (different skills, reputation system, associated quests, etc - a lot of various things to come up with).
I think he is talking about something very similar to the secret arena in Emmerzail. Not a BAD idea(and given that it's similar to another RPGmaker game is doable)but like in emmerzail it would probably end up being a small mini game/ story battle with optional to make a minigame out of it after. Maybe in a large city you have to come back to often in the story line and each time you do there is more fights. Or possibly in Castle warengard and you add monsters or people to fight by going out and fighting or capturing them in the wild(or in the case of people capturing or convincing guards to sell prisoners into your arena)

ReplyDeleteI played the latest beta and have to say I'm disappointed with how Laquadia's story unfolds.
She (and Layla) are my favorite characters so I'm playing LOQOO because of them.
Unlike in episode I, in episode II there were no opportunities to improve/worsen your relationship with her.
Also, it all went down the drain because she's now romantically focused more on her brother and Vhazar/Osira obedience plot.
I was hoping Farsyne would get her but the way that unfolds, it will be another giga lardo encounter.. duh! Been there, done that.
A young/old scenario would be much more fun and original.. considering she's also repulsed by him.
I presume with the total number of girls, it's unrealistic to expect all the focus will be on main girls but I don't know what to expect in episode III now..
Is there any hope there will be roleplaying opportunities with Laquadia (and Layla) in episode III or maybe in Golden Edition one day?

DeleteSo after doing some stuff in episode 1 (killing bosses and stuff) I remembered something. I feel like Gabrielle need some love, like i just feel like she is not very useful. She just dont fit anywhere because you want Kythe for the buffs and remedy, you want Ra'Tiki because of the mass healing and then its between her and farah. and i feel like farah's silence arrow is just better alone then everything Gabrielle can do. Get steal is not very good in that it does so little damage and you barely get any gold for it, IF you even get gold. Her aoe all tho nice at higher level is just a bit weak still, maybe up her normal attack damage so that the aoe would be more useful and she would just be more of a heavy hitter? I think that could work seeing how she cant really do anything else, she only have a few elemental stuff and those are kinda meh and the MC already have a holy attack. So i donno, i feel like she needs something to make her a viable pick over others. Right now i just dont see a use for her, because the stealing is such a low % and you dont really get much so its easier to just kill the mobs and go find new ones to get money. I hope you agree and can think of something, or at least what you designed her to do because i cant really figure it out. xoxox -a Gabrielle lover that want her to be more viable. :P
ReplyDeleteI'd say Gabrielle is quite useful for fighting mobs though, since she's by far the character that gets a decent damage attack that hits all enemies the earliest. It takes quite a lot of grinding to get Ra'Tiki's first multi-target spell or even the heroes second, decent damage dealing multi attack.
DeleteWhile that's true, her aoe just don't do a lot of damage. And ones you have leveled up the other characters they are just better. And lots of harder enemies are only 1-3 so the aoe don't really do much, it would be better just to try and nuke them down ones after another. That way there are fewer enemies to do damage to your party, while if you aoe them all of them will be doing damage until they all die at ones. So while she might be alright for grinding weaker mobs you wont really be doing that all to much because you want to fight strong ones to get more money and exp.
Deleteand Ra'Tiki is mostly useful for her aoe heal. Its the best thing she have and a must in a party, seeing how the turn order is pretty random its hard to use a single target heal. And that is on your MC anyway and the last thing you wana do with him is to heal, seeing how he is normally the strongest hero you have.

But I seriously doubt SweGabe will go and tweak the character skills, that could possible have disastrous effects among the saves of people who played since the first beta.
Well, we'll see, for now I'm intrueged that there are several hints in the last beta that Muh'Tiki was planed to be a full fledged party member, let's see how her skills turn out.
I was more referring to adding more pure damage to her. That would make her aoe (Area of effect aka hitting multiple people) more viable. Maybe tweaking some of her other stuff as well, not straight up adding new one just spiffing up the existing ones.

That's said, LoQO3 seems quite interesting and joyful so far, but with H-content accented on MC it can become even more appealing and joyful. ) I hope u'll consider to take this opinion in account. ;)

DeleteYou say, a lot of people didn't like it. But there are always going to be both fans and haters. As I see it now, most people are irritated with too much grinding in LoQO series in the first place, which I agree. Hating a game only because it has fetishes you don't like is quite foolish.
The only real problem I see with such scenes in LoQO (or illustrations and trading cards) is that there's no any backstory behind them or no any accompanying text (like in story scenes). If it's the same what makes you angry about them then I can understand you.
Once again, I'm not against adding more scenes with the main character to LoQO:O. After all, I like diversity in games. In the ideal case, I'd love to see LoQO to have content that would satisfy needs of every single player. That includes scenes with the main character as well as so-called "cuck" scenes. Of course, it's impossible in practice, but it's a good goal worth trying to achieve.

DeleteJust want to jump in and say there is a magnifier in the game that lets you zoom in on the trading cards and they turn into comics. If you're looking for more backstory like they did with the daily fap magazines in Loqo 2 then I understand.
DeleteAs far as the scenes in Loqo Origins. While I do prefer scenes with MC and don't want bad things to happen to the girls, sometimes I like the other side too and we shouldn't deny people their fetishes and push our own. The ideal though is to have the game work in a way where you can play the game so that you only unlock the scenes or variations of scenes you want to. Maybe you want a playthrough where all the girls fall for you and you get them all for yourself. Others may want the playthrough where you pimp them out and/or they get captured and used by the bad guys. It's challenging to cater to everyone. Plus Gabe has a story to tell and she may decide that having a party member get captured and used is necessary for the story and their development.
Still, if I had to choose I'd prefer keeping the girls to myself.

Second, comparing to real world. Well with Opala, I think Gabe tries to have her mature throughout the games. In the first game she was a nympho but in loqo 2 she became more serious and only showed interest when someone asserted themselves on her. But yeah, when you try to romance a Loqo girl it is kinda weird when they are so willing to have sex with anyone. You can't really change who they are individually, especially in a game like this. I just hope by the end that when your preferred girl (or girls) are romanced, they stay faithful. Kinda like Mad Moxxi in borderlands 2 (if you've ever played that game, if not just look her up). She comes across as slutty and has had multiple partners and husbands. But her thing has always been if she does get married, she's always faithful to her husband throughout that marriage. Farah was somewhat the same way. She had a high sex drive but even so, while the pharaoh was alive she didn't have vaginal sex with other guys.

ReplyDeleteIt might be an RPGMaker limitation. I make backups of my saves in separate folders, name the folder to indicate what type of game that is. Just make sure the saves for the game you want to play are in the same folder as the game's exe.
DeleteI honestly don't know why Gabe did it that way but I am pretty sure it's not an RPGmaker limitation as many other RPGmaker games of multiple different versions from XP to VX all have more save slots. I think it's more of a tradition thing as each LoQO game has had 4 so far and up til now you only really had a choice between eastern western versions and the look of the sprite your character uses. No real need up til now for more than 4 save files.

ReplyDeleteIt's possible but it would be a lot of work. The LoQO games are made using RPGmaker XP and they require some of the files to work which you can't use on a mobile phone. It MIGHT work on a windows phone but anything else would be a long shot.

ReplyDeleteI'm PST and at least the entire first page of this blogspot has posts listed between 11am and 2pm, mostly around noon. So for GMT, I guess that would be 8pm or 3pm EST.

ReplyDeleteHold onto your save files. You should be able to update and use your old file without losing any progress.
DeleteJust download the new version and put your save files in the new folder in the same place they were in the old version. Don't forget the rewards file as well or you will bug out your achievements. Also make sure your last save was not in a cave or something as some of the earlier versions(not beta)are slightly off in certain areas and you may end up trapped. Save in town or something to be safe and keep the old version til you are sure all is good. None of this is much of a big deal if you are moving your save from a Beta version.

ReplyDeleteOfficial release will be on April 8 in Gabe's timezone. You will in fact be able to DL the public release. Only Betas are done through patreon. And so far as I know the public release should be out soon. Give it a few hours and Gabe should have it up unless it's delayed. Don't worry too much lol Gabe is usually pretty good with deadlines even though she's been sick recently.(I think)

DeleteIvan, I might've experienced similar problem... Try downloading not with Firefox, but with Google Chrome. If it's the issue I'm thinking about that should solve the problem.

ReplyDeleteThere seems to be an exploit regarding the magihound in the Iron Spire? I don't know if it is intentional but you can defeat a group of 3 soldiers and 2 magihounds in 1 round and receive ~ 1900 exp per fight. Given the exp distribution in the game so far it seems kind out of place.

ReplyDeleteEvery time I attempt to Save in the 2.00 Ver. I ended up getting an error "Script 'Scene_Save' line 21: Errno::EACCES occured:"
(Which also occurs on Ver.1 now)
What to do?
Try not saving over the old save. Move 3 of the old saves from the Legend of Queen Opala - Origin folder somewhere else then try to make a fresh save, that's the only thing i could think of.
DeleteBut honestly i think it's a corrupted save and that's just game over restart.
As a test try starting a new game with no save files in the folder, if it works as intended i've found your culprit.

ReplyDeleteHey guys, I wanted to bring to your attention of bug that I found while playing through the public release so there are some slight spoilers ahead. When you are trying to break into the manor and start to climb over the wall I didn't notice that this was a "cutscene" and I moved around myself. This allowed me to move all other the map but there was no hit detection nor could I interact with the doors (but I could talk to the guards) making me unable to continue with the story. I tried leaving the area and going back to no avail as with getting the game over with the guards. Luckily I save right before this so I recommend that everybody do the same so this doesn't happen to them.

Just checked Heavenly Fate on a new game plus and didn't see an option to buy. If you've gotten all of those, let me know the 33rd you've found if you can figure it out. If what you need is on my list, then hopefully you can share the two I'm missing.

It always bothered me to be slowed down especially when there are long hallways.
Also looking forward what kind of scenes and options we will get from the huge female cast (personally liked the waifu stuff from LOQO1 minus the audio-only-sex-scenes in this regard full-fledged CG scenes would be awesome).

ReplyDeleteThere is a secret area behind one of the buildings in the right side of town behind a big box. A guy will be standing in front of one of the buildings there and a poster on one if I remember right. Pretty much right next to the church.
DeleteCouple things first I am stuck with the side quest to get a red a blue and a green stone(found red and blue but cant find green) and also I have bought all resources available to this point but can't fix or upgrade warengard yet. Does this happen after I finish Kahr?

DeleteHeads up to Gabe: Scene 23 is listed in the art gallery as a full scene rather than a mini-scene. It's the only full scene with only one event (guessing your standard for a mini-scene is that it's a single event, based on the other scenes in the gallery).
So I unlocked Scene 30 and want to see the continuation from it in which I let Ra'Tiki continue, but it doesn't show up in the scene gallery, how can I rewatch it completely?
ReplyDeleteThat scene is broken up into three events, you can unlock two of three of them in a single playthrough (the first and either the second or third based on your dialogue choice). Scene 29 has Ra'Tiki and if while it was happening you let Ra'Tiki continue then Scene 30 should show the continuation and it will have a variant where the latcher closes up.
DeleteIf you subbed in Mhu'Tiki, that unlocks Scene 31 and you have to do a separate playthrough (or use boss gems in a future update as Gabe says in another comment that functionality will be added later) to unlock Scene 30.

DeleteI figured out the problem: the thumbnail of the scene in the CG gallery which I persumably unlocked, had a question mark on it although I unlocked the scene (clicking on it though revealed the scene)
So yeah one more bug to fix lol also will the final episode come out 2018/2019/2020?

But there still were factors like getting new OSTs, the complete upgrade the game got visually, there were problems with one of the voice actresses I believe (not sure though) and the flood of awesome games that came out lol.
I would love to see every secret scene there is for episode 2 since it really felt short imo.
Also for the final episode I would love to see the masked mercenary, more interaction with the old cast from LOQO2 and Naacia (she deserves her own scene dammit!) and Naluna since she was mentioned by Zweibelle (also nice touch on her German, me as a German speaker myself sometimes had a grin on my face:D)
Glad to hear that you got it figured out. Which edition? Western/Eastern/Beast A/B? It'll be good to know so Gabe can fix and others can watch out.
DeleteEpisode 1 came out in August or September 2015, so that's 19 months. The end of 2018 is still 20 months away, so I'm thinking we'll get Episode 3 in 2018 and final episode probably in 2019, maybe a golden edition in 2020.
Totally agree on Naacia, was just thinking about her and how cool her and how fantastic her game mechanic was back in LOQO1. Masked mercenary may not stay masked for very long, I'm thinking. Hopefully she can join the party, though, it was unfortunate not getting a new full time party member in this episode.
It was Eastern edition and what do you mean by episode 3 and final episode? Will we have more than 3 episodes this time around? :o

ReplyDeleteWe don't know yet. Little spoiler: you can entertain the offer, get the scene, and then deny the offer. You won't be able to recruit her in episode 2, unless I've missed something. My guess is that letting them go or keeping them locked up won't impact us getting her onto our side because it's an episode 2 decision with potential episode 3 repercussions. Would be too easy for people to make a bad decision before anyone knows the consequences.
