Ta-daam!
I've been keeping you wondering for long enough, but it's finally time to reveal the young Elin, Beatrix's daughter!
It probably won't take you long to realize something about her doesn't seem quite...human? That's because she is technically half cow, as her dad is a Val'Toras who fought Beatrix over a decade ago and won, which accordingly with Skyhorn Maiden traditions and laws gave him the right to claim her body and resulted in a pregnancy.
Beatrix is very proud of her daughter who seem to be following in her mother's footsteps and aim to become a Skyhorn Maiden herself.
And with that presentation, you might be surprised to hear I've been working on Festival Island of all places since last week, as it'll be an optional location you can visit through the port in Odidania.
If you remember the place from LoQOII, you know it was on a downward spiral with the previous owner scamming the island and leaving it in disarray.
But since, Puta Banana came out of nowhere and turned Festival Island into a lively, tropical paradise and gave the whole island the makeover it sorely needed, which means it looks quite different while still keeping enough landmarks to make it feel new, yet familiar at the same time.
Although that is all for now, I'll see you again next week!
She's cute and hot at the same time :3
ReplyDeleteThanks! She is very horny too. ;P
DeleteSPOILER WARNING
ReplyDeleteIs the dog's change going to be permanent?
Maybe, my original intention is to leave it up to the player.
DeleteThat'd be a wise decision, Gabe.
DeleteOh look, it's Elsa!
ReplyDeleteElsa with horns and boobs!
DeleteI don't really care about boob size, but I do love me some monster girls :D
DeleteI think Roseus has the upper hand on that part. x3
DeleteAll monster girls are good monster girls, just like all boobs are good boobs.
DeleteIs she LOQOs first loli character?
ReplyDeleteDo you mean first underage character? 'Cause that's different than "loli".
DeleteI'm not really sure how I'm going to deal with that, 16 is legal in some countries but the underage aspect is one of the most sensitive ones out there.
DeleteI may have to bump up her age to 18, just to play it safe, haven't decided yet. D:
Or just do the manga route and say she's 1X years old.
DeleteI'm not sure what you mean DJ Quinn.
DeleteLoli is generally applied to a child-like body, whether the character is actually a child or not (lolibaba is generally the term for older characters with the body-type). Characters with more adult bodies aren't called lolis, even if they are children.
DeleteWell to be fair she seemed more "loli" before Gabe said she was around 16. Personally I suspect that LOQO lolis have Farah sized busts anyway :-P
DeleteBut in all seriousness I do hope Gabe opts for the 1X years old route, I don't like censorship and I don't like when art has to be changed from the artists original idea.
Well, Oppai Loli is a thing, but it only counts if the rest of their body is still child sized and shaped (if they have a curvy body, they're just a shortstack) :P
DeleteWell, it's just a game and the age of 18 is quite trite. I think, Gabe'd better say that every character, who's ever participated in any sex action, has reached the age of contest, as I mentioned it below.
DeleteAge of consent*
DeleteOr you could just not mention it all together the 1X years old route just seems forced and cringey basically like all the other methods of "she's not a loli honest wink wink" either she is or she isn't or in my opinion the only way to not be so forced is to not mention it all together and just leave it in the hands of the players.
DeletePersonally Oppai Loli isn't my first choice, I like my loli small and innocent.
DeleteThat said I'd be okay with Oppai Loli in LOQO, since it's almost 99% big tits. Obviously if Gabe (and the fanbase/censorship/anything else that stands between art) doesn't want to include lolis or "child-like" characters, then any point we make is moot.
Shortstacks are hit and miss, I love Rivilants work and Midna but they are rather out of place in work with a story, I prefer them as stand alone art.
The odd thing actually that I'd love to hear yout thoughs on is Emerelda from LOQO II, she was an adult, but mentally "child-like". So how would feel about say her, versus a "child-like" character that was well versed in sex and perfectly responsible and adult in maturity?
Never been able to get very far in LOQO or LOQOII. They're just not enough fun as games and the porn's not worth the effort.
DeleteChild like character well versed in sex and mature and responsible? I'm practicing my anime terms, is this "gap moe"?
DeleteAnother idea: Gabe could leave it 16 specially for the countries where the age of consent is 16 or below (in Sweden it's 15, according to Wiki). And if there's ever such a need, she could raise it up to 18 or more in exclusive versions of the game for particular countries.
DeleteAs I know, a similar trick is used widely when it comes to making official release of some certain hentai anime in the US.
The games distributed freely thru the internet, unless you have stupid amounts of money to dump in to a distributor to regulate what goes where that won't work. Again let's just leave it to the individuals imagination, from the looks of thing people have already made up their mind of that category shes in wink wink.
DeleteHmm shes technically as old as long as shes been in creation so if you had this character for years shes that old, so who knows she could technically be 2 lol. But yea I agree with the 3rd dude with the "manga" route using her age as 1X leaving it to the player to interpret, but would that mean you would have to change things up in the game then, because Beatrix conformed her name in game already.
DeleteLet me help you Gabe: She can be 18 years old and have the neoteny trait inherited from her bull father like the explanation why she has big boobs and kid body (and make her child size too xD xD)
DeleteI think Val'Toras can grow up faster and get older slowly. That's why she should have a fully mature body.
DeleteBeliar, there're already too many things left for players' imagination, I think. LoQO isn't any sort of a sandbox game and players would probably like to enjoy more certainty, especially in this case.
DeleteSo what are these "too many things left for players' imagination" Because the only thing i cam think of is the meta/outside the game discussion of are al the trading cards canon or not.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteBeliar, there're many details that are never explained in the game, besides the canonicity of the trading cards. They are things that form the lore.
DeleteYou're giving a in lore answers and that all well and good but this is a real world problem.
DeleteThere wouldn't be any problem otherwise.
Neferis You've said absolutely nothing with that!
DeleteSo i ask again what are these "too many things left for players' imagination"?
Alas, I never make a list for these kind of things... I hoped you would get what I meant. I'll be brief:
Delete* Which of the previous games endings should be considered canonical?
* Does every character understand that they live in the world full of sex, not in some typical fantasy? And what kind of laws and routine do they have?
* Why does most of the female companions never mention their sex adventures? In terms of the LoQO world it seems very odd.
* If females in LoQO can be impregnated so easily, then why don't they all have their own army of children?
* Do the main characters kill their enemies or just stun them?
* How fatal can be a bullet to a person in terms of the LoQO world?
* Where do the main characters get their power from? Why are they so much stronger than any other average living being in LoQO?
* Etc.
Please, don't try to answer that questions.
Hahahah ok so i guess it's time to be an asshole to people reading this, eh whatever.
DeleteBut seriously the fact that you said at the end "Please, don't try to answer that questions" speaks volumes to the fact that you probably see these so called "details that are never explained" incredibly stupid/mind bogglingly irrelevant yourself.
And you know what the cherry on top of all of this is, the fact that all of these questions/claim that "too many things left for players' imagination" can be asked/claimed of any fictional universe. And the answer is the same for all, time, energy and money is much better spent on creating a god story then to answer trivialities.
So as a final note i have to say that these questions don't even count as leaving it to the players imagination because it's a writing tool to make the audience keep them coming for more, keep them in suspense, to offer an enjoyable experience for different tastes etc and this is not that it's just boring trivialities.
Some people are saying level is as an apple and you are saying no don't leave it as an apple because there are too many oranges, it just isn't the same thing.
How are these questions a writing tool to keep us playing? I'm not playing Loqo Origins to figure out how fatal bullets are in the Loqo world. But to be fair, when I play games I like I love to delve into lore. And those questions Neferis asked are actually things I'd like answered, question 2 in particular. Anyway, Neferis has a point. It'd be nice to have as much information as possible. The only exception is when it's a mystery in the story like you said. But I doubt Elin's age is meant to be some grand or fun mystery to keep us playing the game.
DeleteWow you're even a bigger cum gargling idiot shit on two legs then the last time we've talked but look on the bright side you never seize to amaze!
DeleteI said "leaving it to the players imagination because it's a writing tool" so when you say "I'm not playing Loqo Origins to figure out how fatal bullets are in the Loqo world" that is exactly my point you retarded anthropomorphic excrement!
Oh but wait there's more in the exact same response this avatar of logic goes from "I'm not playing Loqo Origins to figure out...." to "those questions Neferis asked are actually things I'd like answered" brilliant just brilliant, no no no you're definitely not contradicting yourself so go for it, jump you'll live, do it you'll save the world a big headache!
But hey as much as i disdain you i'll humor you with this one "It'd be nice to have as much information as possible" but it's not done, it's missing something, it's only half correct so let me help you with that -It'd be nice to have as much information as possible that is relevant to the story/world/lore- so with that being said let's take an example that does that from a very popular franchise, the codex from Mass Effect.
The Codex is the best examples i can think of that explains the inner workings of a world and this is important, in all its entries it has this wow factor because it explains extraordinary stuff.
Now lets bring it back to the questions we have her, what about them has that wow factor that warrants answering, answer they don't. In all the media i have consumed in all its forms that goes into detail of how the world works i can't name one that goes into such trivialities!
Which brings us to the point that started all this, the fact that all these questions are supposedly examples of "too many things left for players' imagination" which there not because leaving it to the players imagination is a writing tool to make the audience keep them coming for more, keep them in suspense, to offer an enjoyable experience for different tastes and answering those questions in game does nothing of the sort.
As for miltank over, the ya her age is not some grand or fun mystery it's pretty clear that her age falls under the "to offer an enjoyable experience for different tastes" category but hey don't blame yourself putting two and two together is hard you shit snorting mentally deficient example for the extinction of the human species!
Why are you always so quick to anger Beliar? This isn't that serious lol. Is this how trolls feel when they get a reaction? Anyway, did you not say, "these questions don't even count as leaving it to the players imagination because it's a writing tool to make the audience keep them coming for more, keep them in suspense..."? I thought that was a funny way of putting it so I used the least relevant question to show off my point. And My point still stands. I may want the questions answered, but it's not why I play Loqo. It's not like skyrim where I can spend days exploring every inch and soaking up knowledge. If I play Loqo for 24 hours I'm not all of a sudden going to find the official answer to how fatal bullets are in Loqo. And while I did poke fun at you, I thought I came off respectful of your overall stance. But apparently you get off on being an asshole and just can't resist your hatred for me. And to think what sent us over the edge was one little comment about Pit. You get points for your colorful insults. That's fun.
DeleteYou know what's funny about the internet, it's the fact that you see people repeating the same stupid lines over and over again while thinking there actually saying something that holds weight and that's funny because stupidity is funny and the hole routine of why you so angry, why so serious bro etc, is one of the most tired ones out there but still funny when someone thinks they're making a point when using it because without actually seeing a person face to face and reading someone's body language you have no real idea of that person's state it could be an angry caricature that you build up in your head as a defense mechanism to make you feel better about yourself or it cod be a plethora of other sentimental stats take me for instance very mellow state then a dipshit i don't like decides to pitch in so i felt like insulting him and i did because it was warranted.
DeleteO and you get no points for you little pathetic attempt of shaping the narrative with the hole o look at me I did poke fun at you but I thought I came off respectful and look at you just can't resist your hatred for me, so would you like a tissue with those crocodile tears miss.
As for the questions get it thru your fucking head they were examples of how to many thing being left to the players imagination which they were not because leaving it up to the players imagination is an intentional decision the creator make and these again are not that, there just meaningless trivialities.
But by all means ask for the answer to these questions if you really care that much, which i doubt.
But when when you say that you shouldn't leave it to the players imagination because there's already too much of that and you give those as examples then that takes a whole different aspect and its bullshit of the heist order!
Do you get it now you fucking rimjob dispenser!
Beliar, I said "Please, don't try to answer that questions" not because I consider them stupid but because I knew how you'd react and so tried to stop you from wasting your time. In this situation you could only use your own imagination to answer them but I personally want to see the certain answers in the game itself. I also didn't mean that every single answer is important, but their combination - that's what really matters.
DeleteAnd really, you're overreacting way too much. It's just some critiques based on my personal point of view. The LoQO series isn't perfect - there're many ways to improve it, and yet, I still like it a lot.
Omegalock, well, the question about bullets wasn't a literal one. It's more about endurance and physiology of living beings in terms of the game world.
I just gave an example of questions that first came to my mind.
Ya sorry mate but you're full of bullshit and just changing the goalposts to suit your needs, the conversation was about way you shouldn't leave it to the players imagination because presumably in your eyes there's too much of that, you gave some shitty examples to support your claim and now your on about how actually the real important thing is the combination of some random question that you deem to be important.
DeleteSo ya you just keep on saying that this that and the other is what really important to your heart's content.
I figured the bullet question wasn't serious Neferis but it's actually a good question that goes with "does the main character kill their enemies or just stun them?". We know for sure that there is death in the series. But it's kinda strange to see Farah and Gabrielle actually killing people, even in self defense. So I wonder if Gabrielle's bullets are non lethal. And I'm curious about monsters too. Does killing them make them dead permanently or do they eventually revive? And is the MC killing every soldier he comes across or is he just knocking them out, cause killing them would not be a great way to prove his innocence. These are questions I'd like to know the answer to but they're not the reason I keep playing Loqo like Beliar suggested.
DeleteSays they're not angry, writes an essay explaining how they're not angry and makes fun of you for even considering that they might be angry, then puts effort into insulting you. Obviously they aren't angry and I'm just saying that to win an argument. Which I wasn't. It was an observation. Cause yeah I poked at fun ata point you made but I still respectfully disagreed with the rest of your point and even made fun of myself as a sign of peace. We could have had a respectful debate, but you get so worked up about this its ridiculous.
DeleteAnyway, this was a bit of an experiment on my part. I was curious if you still hated me and used this discussion to test the waters. You obviously do. So I'll do what I've been doing since last time and avoid you. And if I do say something I'll dispense with the pleasantries. I think you'll appreciate that.
Yep, I'm full of bullshit and you're the king. Praise to you. I was all way wrong and you're the one who have a monopoly on a personal opinion.
DeleteSeriously, what's the point of this? It's only your opinion and your right to think that way. In turn, I don't impose my own point of view. You could simply say that you're disagree with me and that's it.
Omegalock, yes, these are the questions, the answers to which would only make the game better. Not crucial but interesting.
DeleteWell that was something. I'd like just to go back to age issue for a second, personally I think the best plan would be to say shes 16, if that causes an issue (a real legal issue, not just someone didn't like it) then just got for 1X and if that still is an issue just admit defeat and go 18.
DeleteFrankly I'd say go full tilt BALLS TO THE WALL and have a baby girl, who 3 seconds out of the womb shouts "I need cocks in my ass". Then if the fans don't like just add a year to her age, and if the fans don't like that, just add one more year until everyone agrees :-P
Anyway, to actually contribute to the discussion. It would be nice if her age remains as 16. But maybe do the 1X thing. Or have her be 18 but in our hearts she will be 16 and there can be a running gag that maybe she's bad at math and she doesn't know her exact age so she could be either 16 or 18 and she's not sure and keep the MC on his toes.
DeleteJust don't mention it the whey her body is drown has already done all the talking for her age. And the profs in the pudding everyone immediately went for the loli tag. I can't remember this but if Beatrix already said she's 16 then what is this discussion happening she's 16 case closed.
DeleteSure, Your Majesty.
DeleteWhat you think of me doesn't change the fact that changing the goalposts to suit your needs and you were going on about some bullshit like this "It's more about endurance and physiology of living beings in terms of the game world".
DeleteBut let's just leave it here we fundamentally disagree on what is considered content.
That's a wrong interpretation of my thoughts and intentions. But maybe I didn't understand you as well.
DeleteBut yes, let's just finish it.
*nods head
DeleteI thought it was okay as long as it was drawn artwork?
DeleteJohn Dennis, it's okay for Japan. Not sure about other countries.
DeleteI think in this case it would be okay since the character in question doesn't actually look like a child (I don't think they're going to look that hard into the character's backstory.) and I don't think Sweden really cares about drawn art. So I think Gabe is safe.
DeleteThat's just awesome.
ReplyDeleteBut where have all flatties gone? There should be someone to keep Ra'Tiki company!
Hmm...She isn't flat chested, but technically, I "think" Kristallia has smaller boobs than Ra'Tiki. xD
DeleteSmall, but not relatively, indeed!
DeleteBut what about more flat-chested characters? Are they gonna appear in the game?
By the way, to deal with her age and leave it as is, in the game intro you could simply say that every character's reached the age of consent without mentioning that they're older than 18.
I mean, flat-chested girls, not guys, heh.
DeleteSo i guess she's not a fan of the Das Horn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5pj5ezs4O8
ReplyDeleteBut your really not feeling it with her in fact you might say: https:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdEQmpVIE4A
Oh well can't have the whole cake and eat it too and all that and the work is still top notch.
O and Festival Island getting a makeover is cool, i remember when Guild Wars 2 came out and they did a similar thing with there maps (because a lot of time past between the two games)and really enjoyed seeing the then and now i that game and looking forward to do the same thing with FI!
*But im really
DeleteWuhuhouly heavens! (°.○)
ReplyDeleteShe's even more stacked then her mama! ~(^-^~)
And that means: Hilarious Ra'Tiki reaction (Slippy from StarFox 64 voice) incomiiiinng!
But the real question we're all asking us right now:
Can we score a W-Oyakodon is the game?
In case you don't know: Oyakodon (母娘丼) is Japanese slang for managing to hit it of with both a mother and her daughter. And a W doubles Japaneses nouns (comming from the english pronouncation of "DOUBLEyou"). And since scoring with Farah and at least one of her daughters is almost mandatory for the games by now... \(•ヮ•\)
I could have made this shorter by just using an English term, huh? (._. )
Random Japanese lesson!
Don't worry I like Japanese lessons! :D
DeleteEven though I already knew what it was.....
You already know both the 母娘丼 and the W thing? (._. )
DeleteI'm useless... ( ; ~ ; )
Wait! but do you know about the kanji?
Because while always pronounced "Oyakodon" you can use different kanji to write it. You see, the original word is "親子丼" "親(Oya)" meaning "parent" "子(ko)" means Child and "丼(don)" meaning "bowl". The original meaning of the word is just a typical Japanese dish. When you refer to the sexual meaning of the word, you usualy exchange the gender neutral kanji for parant and child with the others. So you get the most often used 母娘丼 which means "mother-daughter bowl"
But you could also use 父息子丼 which would mean "Father-son bowl".
And that's a dish I'm sure Farah and Muh'Tiki would love to sample if they did not already do so. ~(^-^~)
Dilf-and-youngster families: It's open season! (`v´)
Well, hope there was something in this one you didn't know already.
Muahahaha don't underestimate the amount of erotic manga with translator notes I've read! >:) I knew about the father son bowl all along! It accompanied the mother daughter bowl joke in one of my mangas!!!!!!
DeleteDon't worry man, I will admit I didn't know about the exact specifics of the kanji.
Yeah, expected as much, but this was about the kanji itself more than the meaning. Note for example that "son" simply adds one kanji in front of the one for "child": 子 to 息子
DeleteWhile "daughter" is an entirely now kaji on it's own: 娘
And that kanji itself is made up of two radicals wich are kanji on their own: 女 and 良.
The first one means "woman" and the later "good".
So a daughter is a "good woman"...
*rawr* ~(^-^~)
Like mother like daughter. She's cute! I like that she's half cow. Although I'm curious if it's just the horns or is she full on haulstaurus like this? http://monstergirlencyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Holstaur
ReplyDeleteAnyway, great addition Gabe!
After reading that I realized...
DeleteGabe!!!! I must know how female Val'Toras look like!!!
*drools*
I play as a Val'Toras and Beatrix is my favorite character right along side young Farah, but now this ugh! I love her so much too now! Great work as always can't wait to meat her! <3
ReplyDeleteThere should be bonus dialogue with Elin that she's really interested in the Val'Toras protagonist because she never knew her fahter and she wants him to step in to teach her about the birds and the bees. ~(`v´~)
DeleteMhm, oh yeah, we need more busty youngsters in LoQO!
ReplyDeleteI believe she might be app-tly the same age as Sunny-Sue, maybe there will be some hot cumpetition between them? >_< +_+
Sunny-Sue is 18 years old and Elin is 16 so far (which I hope will stay the same).
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteSo since festival island was mentioned, in LOQO1 there is a jester at the arena bar that offers some fun times ). is this just a coincidence or is masquerade a member of a sexy jester assassin guild?
ReplyDeleteOver... a decade?
ReplyDeleteWell that's pretty ambiguous. I guess it's a matter of perspective, with us Yuropians having something around 15 as the age of consent, heavily depending on the country, of course.
Puberty sure hit her like a truck though. Benefits of Val'Toras genes, I presume?
Still, I have some mixed feelings about her, aside from the fact I'd love to give her a sibling in the game huehuehuehue
At one hand the more the merrier, at the other, there is so many of female characters already that some of them are bound to be outright omitted from attention... all dem trading cards. All dem scenes.
As a related issue, I have to say I'm slightly disappointed about the sprite sex scenes too, I mean, they are all the same standing-against-wall position. I understand that there is a lot of effort involved, since you've confirmed ALL the characters will get a sprite scene. Working on a single basis with all the varieties for the player character models is hella tedious, I understand, but what's the point of all those beds in Warrengard then?
Actually, scratch that, by all means do omit her from attention when it comes to trading cards, she is TOO CUTE to be depicted in the usual treatment in them.
Deletepls
I guess, it's too late.
DeleteCowgirl from corruption of champions "Marble looks up to grin at you, and finally notices the dumbstruck look on your face. “Uh, sweetie, what is it?” You make absolutely sure that you heard her right when she said she was 11 years old last year. She nods, and asks you why you find that so odd. You can only shake your head and inform her that humans take about 18 to 25 years to fully mature. She laughs at this idea and says that she’s been fully grown since she was 6; all the members of her race are that way - those she’s met, anyway. Well, there isn’t much else you can say to that."
ReplyDeleteWill she have any scenes?
ReplyDeleteWould be great.
DeleteBut she'll definitely have her own trading cards, that's for sure.
Sadly I agree cards do nothing for me in the least.
DeleteWow so Beatrix has a daughter huh, was the father Vhazar ? Now you got thinking of what Eclipse been doing with Neena LOL
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help but giggle a bit reading that.
DeleteHer having a daughter is literaly brought up the very first time you speak to her, when she writes a letter to said daughter.
No offense, just a reminder.
I don't think so. Vhazaar was supposed to marry Laquadia. Although that doesn't mean he can't already have a daughter. But I hope the father is someone else. And I hope that the father shows up and is all grumpy and mean but when he's around Elin he's so nice and weak. Like maybe the father is about to attack the MC but Elin is there and she's like "don't hurt him, if you do I'll hate you!" And he faints from the shock lol
DeleteI see you want the cliche route LOL
DeleteWhat a beautie <3 i would like to peek under his tail under ^ - ^ the corresponding beauties would be needed :) hope he still has a double bed and next door to graze Farah's dear friends <3
ReplyDeleteBTW, unicorns would be really nice too <3 :)))
DeleteWhen can we expect the next beta with new content being fully implimented? I believe the last version came out over two months ago.
ReplyDeleteThe last version, which was 2.02, came out a few weeks ago.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletehey i have a question. have u considered hiring people to do stuff like side quests and the like to help u develop the game? theres a dude whos making this game called Harem that started doing that about a year ago at this point. His updates and amount per an update have increased while allowing him to still make it his way. it might help for those that say "hey this chick is just taking our money" and stuff like that. just thought i would suggest it.
ReplyDeleteDoes She have a cute cow tail and hooves
ReplyDeleteHmmm, liking the backstory here. Now I really want to meet Elin in game. And might there be any chance of the player encountering those same Skyhorn Maiden traditions with Beatrix? Maybe a friendly spar or something?
ReplyDeleteAnd if I may make a suggestion, the battle with the Val'Toras daddy would be a great thing to use as Beatrix's side story. Well, I'd like to see it at least, but it's your call Gabe.
Can't wait for more, and bring on the Frozen Continent!
I only wish that it had been Beatrix that had won the fight with Elin's father, and then Beatrix had gone, "I won, lay down and gimme that Dick!".
ReplyDeleteActually a better idea for the age issue is just have an "Insert age here" option like the PC name. People can put 16 or 18 if they want and then later on your 8th playthrough when you feel silly you can make her 1 or 69 years old. She can be 69 in cow years.
ReplyDeletei was sure that she will show up :D
ReplyDeletei'll make a great art for the hfoundry contest
by the way did you draw the emoticon or is it another artist's creation ?
The artist's name is Seth (Sethxzoe).
Deletethanks a lot
