Yeah, I think it'll be best if I hold off the beta to next month instead.
All the maps for the new location is finished and explorable at this point, although there are still missing enemies, along with the usual suspects, such as treasure chests, goodies, etc.
The place has also changed so much from the initial concept it can no longer be called a temple, with the current name that might end up the finalized version being "Azastral's Forge".
Then we have a sidequest related to the meteor you can encounter outside of Odidania I've prepared enough to start implementing, so it'd be nice to have that included in the next beta too.

And to end this week, do you remember several months ago I mentioned I was thinking about changing how portraits/emoticons are displayed in the future before the full game is done?
It would be a lot of work, but I did create two samples to showcase how it'd look.
The update would also give me a lot more freedom on what I can do with it.

Anyhoo, I'll be back again next Tuesday!

Okay, I might've gotten a bit ahead of myself when mentioning a new beta this month.
While it still could happen, I forgot I don't actually have control over everything that goes on.
The location I've been working on over the past two weeks will probably be done in time, but the same can't be said about the planned enemy you'll encounter there since I still need the battlepose/sprite and it feels a bit off releasing a new hostile area with no enemy threat.
We'll see how it all plays out, it's possible I can make some placeholder sprite.

The location also blew up in scope and became much more than "just another temple".
I won't give away too much more information though to avoid spoiling the surprise!

I'll be back next Tuesday with another update!

Another notch on the roadmap to anything!

I heard reports that picking some unlocked outfits forced you out of the selection screen.
So I took a closer look, did indeed found the problem and fixed it right up. (Just letting you know!)

Besides that, I've mostly been working on another location I intend to add between Everice Lake and Outlook Hotel, which needed a bunch of new assets for both the indoor and outdoor maps.
It's a temple, since there will be at least three of them in the world. (Not counting the one in Kahr)
This one will also have a strong connection with Fire God Azastral, which has been sorely missing from the overall look of the Frozen Continent since everything else so far has been very...cold!
If I don't run into complications, there might even be yet another beta coming out this month!

But that's all I got for now, see you next Tuesday!

Obligatory "did a little of this and that" post-beta comment.

And yes, most of the time spent leading up to the latest beta release over the weekend was tweaking, adding/changing content and doing some quality control.
Even then, a thing or two slipped through the cracks, probably most noticeably a ropeladder you can't interract with in Everice Lake - but be assured that has already been fixed on my end!
The only thing in the area ahead you can't reach is a treasure chest with some non-unique loot.

Apart from that, I've also added Darkthorn Keep as a place you can visit in the past.
This is something I've been meaning to do for a very long time, since there are parts of the prison you can no longer access after a certain point in the story that would make the location uncompletable and a trading card permanently missable...which is now no longer the case!
Although, you'll still need to finish a certain sidequest or have finished the Duchess Mansion Arc in order to fully gain access to Darkthorn Keep in the past.

That's about it, see you again next week with another update!
