To celebrate I officially received the first part of the crowdfunding budget, have plenty of boobs!
This chart was made by the japanese artist who'll be doing the eastern edition of the game, he was also the one who did all of that for LoQOII as well.
Explaining it, the amount I managed to get through you fans on Offbeatr was more than avarage so they had to split the money into three transactions, first part is now safely secured on my account with part two on the way and the last part likely handed out later this week.
So now I can also officially announced the production of Legend of Queen Opala: Origin, woot!
Though I have of course been working my ass off for every single day since I started the crowdfunding, the game already has around six different locations and one complete sex scene.
If you've played any of my previous game in this series, new to this game is the introductions of mini scenes and titles.
Titles is just what it sounds like, something you'll be awarded for doing various things in the world.
Some of these titles will unlock bonus content from the appropriate guilds, like slaying monsters and gaining titles for that would give you rewards at the Monster Hunter guild etc.
It'll also help you know if a Legendary Monster is triggered to appear.
Mini scenes on other hand is basically single illustration scenes, it can be anything from peeping to ask for a quick favor, but naturally focused on the main female cast.
This allows me to add many more varied scenes without "having to" write up a whole scene for each one, as a mini scene could just be a few lines of description.

DeleteI like the idea of titles, makes the whole grinding slaughter more straightforward instead of having to count exact numbers. Will they flash across the screen after we have earned them like achievements from Opala 2?

DeleteI'm the opposite. Sparrow's stuff for me is perfect. I especially like that he's more varied and goes to more extremes.
DeleteThis artist is good, definitely, but i'd like to see a bit more contrast in the sizes. They're all almost the same size (and style), just small differences. It kinda makes the size less "special" if you know what it mean. If every woman has huge boobs of roughly the same size, the size becomes "normal".
This is going to be so epic, it can't be described with words...

These aren't the only characters in the game, there will be plenty of other women too, furry and not, but you can't hump everything since I still have to follow a budget and isn't blessed with unlimited resources. ;)

I was just wandering if i could get some of the resources you used. not characters just tile sets and monsters. or just tile sets cause i like your world map style and am trying to do my game in a similar fashion. i also have a question. how do you get the name of the area to show up once the player discovers the area.
ReplyDeleteThe worldmap should easily enough be found on the web, I just used a custom version I made for mountains and sea in my game.
DeleteAs for making the names show up, that was made with Self Switches, a pair of different event windows and custom made sprites for the location to make it show up as text, instead of a NPC. :)

DeletePeople were pretty overall negativ against the thought of having Farah be the main character, so no, you won't be able to play as a girl, at least not in this game.
DeleteIts a cost issue too, every single artwork would have to be remade and rewritten to change all scenes from a male character to female.
@Gabriel Aww that I really sucks wanted to see how Farah played out. Will other characters like the pirate woman come back ? Also since some parts are in the past will you be able to impregnate her which makes her born ? Also is there any Dark Elf characters in the game, maybe you can make a busty futa dark elf character LOL

It's incredibly rewarding to experience all the fantastic characters and artwork in the context of a story we actually control, as opposed to just looking up pictures on the interwebs. I'm really looking forward to the newest installment in the series.
One question I have involving the upcoming scenes. I know you've mentioned that they'd be mostly devoted to romancing the different women. This sounds great, but will we see them in action with other creatures as well? The Octobreeder scene from LOQO 1 is one of my favorite moments in the games. I'd love to see more like that. Having a choice in the matter, like which beast forces itself on which female, would be stellar. Perhaps depending on whatever one chooses, the breeding may or may not be consensual...
Anyway, these are just some thoughts I've been kicking around, though I'm sure you have plenty of surprises for us. I can't wait to see what else you have in store! Best of luck, and thanks again!!
Second this. Some interactivity (and tentacles) regarding scenes would be nice. The problem with "lose to monster to get scene" is that I don't lose to regular and even boss monsters since I never come unprepared.

ReplyDeleteI`m kinda dissapointed in how these girls look. I know, that this whole big-breasted thing is normal to eastern artists. What`s bugging me is the western art provided by Sparrow. From the ones we`ve seen, only Opala and Gabrielle look like an actual people, while others are more repulsive than arousing. Don`t get me wrong, I really like the style of art Sparrow shows, just hate the overall abnormal "expansion" of his. Anyway, I loved both of your games so far Gabe, hope the 3rd one will give you just as much fun making (I hope it`s pleasant experience and not someone standing over you with a whip). I have to mostly agree. While I like Sparrow's art and this Eastern version artist's work is beautiful, I would like more diversity of body types. I like a big breasted body but when every one of the characters has a big bust it makes it less special. if you take away the hair styles and skin tones, all these characters look exactly alike. Love your games Gabe, just hoping for a touch more diversity of body types, though.

DeleteI forgot about Ra'Tiki (seeing as how she is not on the boob chart) and am very excited about her character, so I'm sorry about not taking her into consideration. Don't get me wrong here, no matter what I will play and enjoy the hell out of your game just like your first two. It's just that when Farah talks about having the biggest breasts and all, it doesn't make sense when almost every other female in the group has close to if not the same bust size.

DeleteWell Gabe, i really really love this Artwork, even if i got the same problem with the " all the same boobs size " it's not so important i think. The only real problem of Shinigami (personal opinion) is that sometimes he spare his time on scenes. Like on Loq II while on the western version there were more pictures for each scene on the eastern one there were just a few, like the one with Farah in the Inn same picture for all of the 3 choices. But it was still a great work, it's undeniable. And knowing that Sparrow will make the western pictures well, yeah! i love that guy, his picture really fits your game style, and some of them are real gold just like your games :) really original and enjoable time i spent on them. But, coming to the important things will we get the chance to see some futa on Loq III ? i hope so ( especially Osira, i love that [and her feets ;) ] ). and since nobody asked, i wanna make the big question, when will the game come out? and where we will be able to download? I'd really appreciate to know that, so i can finish the post game parts of Loq I and II in time for the third one. P.S. getting to play with a female character, that is the young Farah too would have been awesome, sorry that the project was canceled. But keep the good work Gabe, we love you !!! and thanks for the selfies. I love redheads.
