The new v3.1.34 beta will be out next week!

I believe the only thing I have left is to update the trading card mini-game.
While that shouldn't take too long, I'm likely going to have to playtest some parts of the new build myself to see if everything is coming together as planned.
As for the past seven days, I finished Highland Inn, Nillia Woods and Painter's Abode.
Only now realizing that last one included a pretty big spoiler for new gamers, unless they thought it was just a typo, but that won't remain an issue since "Costume Fabrics" no longer have character names in them.

I've also changed how Legendary Monsters are presented on the field, gone is the the oddly inverted hue and instead they'll be highlighted with a warning sign above them to indicate they're strong foes. (Like you can see in the screenshot below)
And buying trading cards/outfits will now show a preview before the purchase.

See you next week, maybe on the same day as the beta release!

Gotta have to backtrack on a statement I made last week!
Originally Windy Canyon would be the last location I'd update, which means that would also be where the re-launched beta ends...but progression wise, that is a bit of an awkward place to end it and also meant you could potentially miss out on getting Gabrielle for the party if you went through Windy Canyon at night.

So instead, I've decided Nillia Woods will be the last location, post Highland Inn events.
That gives you one more teleportation crystal and another party member, speaking of which, I totally forgot Crystal Sanctum had to be included in the list of locations too.
And while going through that place, I also updated Illumi to the latest story progression, along with including her as one of those "Concubine Maker" candidates.
With that, I should be able to announce the beta release date next week!

Thus, I'll see you in 7 days...

Three more locations have been updated and checkmarked off the list!
Homestead, Imperial Manor and The Judicator are those I went over this week, with the first two taking their sweet time due to all the cutscenes involved needing some tweaking with the writing, especially Imperial Manor to clarify some details that were glossed over.
Such as Mhu'Tiki's role in the mansion, from the perspective of Crayden.

Currently working on camp sequences, which are the last maps needed to be updated before I can re-launch the beta with all the changes and improvements included.

So as always, I'll be back again for another post next week!

Just like last week, I'm making good progress for this one too!
Darkthorn Keep, Lake Fairlight, Western Lighthouse, Grand Bridge and Windy Canyon are all locations I finished updating this week for the new layout, so only a couple of more before I can release the first beta with all the new features and details!

Below I've also attached two screenshots of the exact same moment during a cutscene.
The top is the old version of LoQOO, while the bottom is of the newly updated version.
The relationship meter (the hearts) now works a bit more like how health is displayed in Zelda games, with each individual heart going through a couple of changes before being filled and moving on to the next slot, helping you understand the progress much better than just having that one single heart.

Anyhoo, see you again next Tuesday!
