Let's blow the information load!

After several weeks with a bit of lacklusting updates, let me amend it today.
The International Edition version of Beatrix and Elin has been added to the Strippin' o' Die mini-game, I've also added a small cutscene that introduces players to the photo studio mechanic if you've built and upgraded it in the Castle Warrengard courtyard.
A few characters will be available from the get-go like Farah and Mhu'Tiki, with others being unlocked from a variety of things such as progressing through the story, helping them out etc.
You will also be able to unlock backgrounds for use by "completing" world locations, all of this is retro-active so any finished locations or characters from the past will automatically be added.
The coding for it is nearly done, so you can view a preview of the character select layout below.
(Used from the scrapped version of Bal'Rana's shop that turned into the Hall of Memories)

Some of you may also have seen leaked, animated videos of Laquadia working a gloryhole or Beatrix getting frisky with her faithful Tharg floating around the web in the past few months.
These were early prototypes of experimenting with how animations could be played and interracted with, and on that subject, collecting all ten trading cards in a set with unlock an animation with that specific character, done by the same artist who did the summon/tutorial animations.
When these will be added is unsure at the moment, but it is a confirmed feature!

And with that, I hope this week's update has been more refreshing!

Praise the Suns! (Lady Gwynevere's miracle orbs)

Another busy week done with the Frozen Continent worldmap and it's night experience tweaked.
Even more additional assets has been made to improve on old and upcoming maps alike, new monsters added to Proving Grounds and the Hot Spring Retreat is nearly done with NPC's.

A fan requested feature has also been implemented in the form of turning on/off luck enhancing items for the dice game, which can now be done from the ledger on the desk in your private quarters at Castle Warrengard, which also lets you change dice set up right there and then.
And finally, the International Edition now covers another CG Scene.

With that, I'll see you again next Tuesday as always!

Boogaloo Bungie Boobies!

'Tis has been a busy week, I got nearly all the graphical layers done besides maybe one or two, made additional assets that will be applied to a few previous maps, added Mhu'Tiki and Ra'Tiki to the International Edition of Strippin' o' Die and found a few issues I got cleared up.
(Did you know all indoor tent maps has a graphical bug? Well, it won't be there after next beta!)

I also spent time on trying out different ways of making the haunted mansion creepy with some creative spooks not applied anywhere else in the game, oh, and the name for that place ended up becoming "The Drowning Castle".

And with that checkmark, I'm out for now!

Time for another Tuesday update!

While the year was off to a slow start due to my weekend "vacation", I've been getting back into the swing of things over this past week with three locations finished on a map design level and just need additional content such as the graphical layers, NPC's, monsters, chests etc. before they are wrapped up and finished.
The current name for these locations are Proving Grounds, Hot Spring Resort and Crash Site, with the first mentioned most likely keeping that name while the other two are pending.

And I think that's pretty much it for this week, so I'll see you guys again in the next one!

First week of the new year, baby!

Aaaaand we're off to a bit of a slow start as I took the weekend off, sorry about that. x3
But when it wasn't the weekend, I worked on a couple of locations such as a new one at the Frozen Continent and one in the Beldorian Empire that'll only appear after a certain point.

With this soft start on 2021, I'll hopefully have a bit more to report on next week!
Until then, have a good one and I'll see you again next Tuesday!

'Tis time, I wish you all a Happy New Year!

With the holiday this past week, I haven't been able to get as much work done.
Although I have been tinkering away on a couple of new locations and managed to updated Gabrielle for any and all remaining unlockable outfits, which leaves only Ra'Tiki left.
I also updated "clothing poles" so the fabric displayed is better representing the character, but that only counts for a few characters since Farah, Ra'Tiki etc. already had a good match to begin with.

And I think that is really all I have to report for this weekly update.
Next time, it'll be 2021 and we can finally move past this...uhh, questionable year!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!

With Kythie updated for any and all additional outfits, only Gabrielle and Ra'Tiki remains.
The haunted mansion is finished too and ready for cutscenes to be implemented, along with Bellfrost Woods now having new enemies dotted around the maps.

I've also updated how "Distress" works, this is the state the female characters fall into when their health get too low or if the protagonist have learned the command "Submit" to instantly order it.
Before it only made it impossible for the inflicted characters to evade any attacks, but I figured there should also be some benifit to the downside so it's more of a risk/reward kind of deal.
So how "Distress" will work from now on is that the state won't be displayed activately in the status field, since there is more than enough visual cues to indicate if they have it.
Instead of being unable to evade, "Distress" will now lower your defense and magical defense by 20% each while also granting you a 40% agility boost, which makes you more likely to dodge.
While changing outfits will still remove the "Distress" state like before, sleeping on other hand will no longer remove it, in exchange for you being able to repair costumes at outfitters for a small cost or buy usable "Sewing Kits" sold by a traveling seamstress who'll appear in every town.
I was hoping that would make more sense, and not restrict people from restoring HP/MP by sleeping who still want to keep characters in the "Distress" state.

And with that, I wish you a safe and jolly season! See you next week!
