To think it'll be a whole year before I can make another Tuesday update again.
You know, until next week...?

I hope you all had a great Christmas and will handle New Years Eve with a moderate amount of alcohol and not too many premature explosions! ;)

Since I only took a day off myself during the holidays, the next beta is so close to completion as I only need to tidy up a few things and pray to the almighty stallion that I'll still be able to make it in time before the new year without rushing anything! The new beta will include a little bit more story and a new mini-scene I think a lot of people has been looking forward to...hint hint, tease tease?

And to close this update, I'm presenting you with Kristallia's standard expression emoticon.!

See you again soon with the first update of 2016, and Happy New Year!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Queen Opala

Ho ho holy crap, Tuesday update!
(Someone, hurry up and make a XXX-mas joke!)

Because nothing says Christmas more than having your stockings filled up with joy and being presented with Queen Opala's battlepose!

Yup, probably did hit my head pretty hard this morning!
But nonetheless, she is so close to finally be introduced in the game with her stronger and more grown-up personality as I've had a rather successful week with doing storytelling.
The plot has advanced further, the protagonist has encountered new faces and the High Lord Gathering is imminent just around the corner!

I can't make any promises because the next few days are going to get a bit hectic, but if I can find the spare time to finish off a few things I want in the game, a new beta will be released before the end of the year. :D

And with that, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Or if you belong to a religion which doesn't celebrate it, then at least have a wonderful holiday! ^_^

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Ze God, das Tuesday update! (Not actual German lingo)

What do I have to report for this week, you wonder...?
I finished the most recent location I've been working on, simply named "Road to Castle" in previous posts but with the finalized name being Fierra Falls.
And with that, so far the list of added locations to episode 2 of LoQO Origin is as follow -
Serenity Bridge, Desert Checkpoint, Immemorial Glade, Arlon Village, The Four Seasons Inn, Uncle Dad's Ranch, Smuggler's Route, Valley Checkpoint, Tower of Descent and Fierra Falls!

I've also gone through the story script in the base game and changed/added a few things to add further depth to past events and important characters, like...what I should've done long ago, give the late Beldorian Emperor a name to easier seperate him from the current one. x3
I plan to focus on the story next and continue upon that, unless I get stuck and can't quite word sentances like I want, but if that happens then I'll instead focus on beginning work on Castle Warrengard, your "build-your-mansion" part in this game!
There is never shortage of things to do, I tellz ya!

Before I end for today, I'd also like to pitch a LoQO CG set by Vaesark.
It features Osira getting the upper hand on Opala with sloppy results, you can find a preview by clicking right here! Though it might be worth mentioning the full set it isn't quite free!

But I think that's all for this time, so I'll see again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Naz'Raala

Guns and stallions! Tuesday update, ya'll!

And here is the second new character you heard about a few weeks back, Naz'Raala! She is the right-hand (wo)man to the ruthless, self-proclaimed Baron Ironard of Castle Warrengard - the same castle you'll eventually gain as your resident/base for the build-your-mansion part of the series.

Naz'Raala herself blindly follows her master's orders and does whatever she feels is required to complete his objectives.
Especially the people of Arlon has felt Baron Ironard's tyrannical oppression as he often sends Naz'Raala and his group of bandits to raid the village and abduct men for unknown reasons.

No one has seen Naz'Raala without her helmet, with some saying she has the face of an angel while other's claim she is uglier than a Giga Lardo...but her voice gives nothing away, as she never speaks.

And with that, the work I've been doing this week have mostly involved creating more maps.
I didn't quite like how the road to Castle Warrengard looked before, so I scrapped it and began from scratch, which has only been a good thing as I'm far more pleased now. x3

So! As always, I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results

Tuesday update and your monthly poll time!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This month it was asked which your favorite town/village in LoQO: Origin - Episode I was, with a total of 1178 votes gathered for this time around!

Brightstone
Won by 58%, being 690 of the votes.
Colussia
Second, 23% with 275 of the votes.
Port Ronod
Third, 12% with 153 of the votes.
Caimridge

Last with 5%, being 60 of the votes.

I guess it wasn't even close, Brightstone with it's noble citizens and tavern wench challenge introduction was the clear winner for this round!

This week I haven't really been able to work that much on the game, it's mostly been about getting more trading cards done, organizing the conclusion for the LoQO Contest held at HentaiFoundry and pulling some strings in the background for a secret project I'll reveal soon enough...
Or what the heck, let's just say I might be able to produce some real high quality 3D clips starring at least Farah and/or maybe even Osira in a not too distant future, if everything goes smoothly! ;)

(Edit: Forgot to mention I also released the new beta last Friday!)

And with that small update, I'll see you for a hopefully more eventful next week!
