'Tis time, I wish you all a Happy New Year!

With the holiday this past week, I haven't been able to get as much work done.
Although I have been tinkering away on a couple of new locations and managed to updated Gabrielle for any and all remaining unlockable outfits, which leaves only Ra'Tiki left.
I also updated "clothing poles" so the fabric displayed is better representing the character, but that only counts for a few characters since Farah, Ra'Tiki etc. already had a good match to begin with.

And I think that is really all I have to report for this weekly update.
Next time, it'll be 2021 and we can finally move past this...uhh, questionable year!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!

With Kythie updated for any and all additional outfits, only Gabrielle and Ra'Tiki remains.
The haunted mansion is finished too and ready for cutscenes to be implemented, along with Bellfrost Woods now having new enemies dotted around the maps.

I've also updated how "Distress" works, this is the state the female characters fall into when their health get too low or if the protagonist have learned the command "Submit" to instantly order it.
Before it only made it impossible for the inflicted characters to evade any attacks, but I figured there should also be some benifit to the downside so it's more of a risk/reward kind of deal.
So how "Distress" will work from now on is that the state won't be displayed activately in the status field, since there is more than enough visual cues to indicate if they have it.
Instead of being unable to evade, "Distress" will now lower your defense and magical defense by 20% each while also granting you a 40% agility boost, which makes you more likely to dodge.
While changing outfits will still remove the "Distress" state like before, sleeping on other hand will no longer remove it, in exchange for you being able to repair costumes at outfitters for a small cost or buy usable "Sewing Kits" sold by a traveling seamstress who'll appear in every town.
I was hoping that would make more sense, and not restrict people from restoring HP/MP by sleeping who still want to keep characters in the "Distress" state.

And with that, I wish you a safe and jolly season! See you next week!

One more Tuesday away from Christmas and two more before the end of the year!

Mhu'Tiki is the latest character to have been updated so any and all additional outfits are ready to go whenever they become available, beyond that I have mostly been working on creating more assets to make up for a new map tileset I've put together for Gabrielle's heist I've mentioned earlier.
Initially I was thinking of having it being done in Duchess Lynevere's mansion, but as this would be a side-quest you can do at any time, that would likely pose some problems later in the story if you've progressed too far...which would easily be done if you are up-to-date on the gameplay!

Instead, it's going to be more of a loot run to a place Gabrielle overheard would be "easy pickings".
Taking place in a haunted mansion that'll also introduce another ultima enemy to tackle, a lot of the estate has been completed during this week and has a neat design I'm pretty proud of so far!
Obviously this will lead to the long awaited CG Scene between the protagonist and Gabrielle, although I still can't say for sure when I'll get around to start writing the scenario.

And that'll be all for today, folks!

Just a little more time before this awful year is finally donzo...!

On that subject, I have both good and bad news.
The bad news is the International Edition artist caught COVID-19 like so many of us have, but the good news is he's doing well now and is back to work with another finished CG Scene.

On my part, I'm on the tedious duty of updating every spot a party member can show up in so their selected outfit is always present, Farah was done since before but you can also add Bal'Rana/Beatrix to that list now, and I'm doing it in a way so I'll never have to go back again.
There has also been various small fixes and corrections made along the way.

With that, I'll see you guys again next week as always! Stay safe!

One beta later...!

Most people don't know how darn close it was I didn't make it, but working overtime every day since last Tuesday managed to push me over the finish line and release the latest beta on the day I promised last week...although, I did had to streamline the experience onboard the Magna Gerulus and lock away one of the longer cutscenes to not halt the progress.

So that is basically what I have been doing this week, polishing what I could and add side-content.
That included over 30 optional illustrations, which might not sound impressive at first, until you think about them having to be added to the world, updated into the art gallery, included within the encyclopedia and then double-checked to make sure everything about those parts are working.

And thus, more shit needs to be done! Be back next Tuesday, y'all!

Tuesday is coming...

Since this is apparently the last weekly update for this month, I suppose I'll have to announce the beta will be out on Monday as I need every hour I can spare to make a sprint for the finish line. x3
Finalizing the Frozen Continent took a little longer than expected, and I still need to finish a few more, short cutscenes related to the boat right before I can relax a bit.

So mark the 30th of November as the day a giant boobshell will drop!
Until then, know "In the Shadow of Anubis III - Chapter I" is now available on my Patreon!

Thus, the work continues!

Yes, you're reading this correctly! It's a Tuesday!

While it's been a good week, my work was slowed down somewhat as I had to spend time on writing the dialogues for something a lot of you have surely been looking forward to, the elusive third and final part of the "In the Shadow of Anubis" comic trilogy by DevilHS! It's so big it had to be splitted into three chapters, with the first one being roughly the same size as the entire second comic, and it should be out before the end of the year!

But in more game related news, I've finished populating Luminessa with NPC's so all that's left now is addeding loot stuff like chests, search spots, unlockable illustrations, mining deposits etc.
I'm unsure if the few new enemy types related to the Frozen Continent will make it into this next beta though, as the backgrounds for those battles aren't quite ready yet.
On the flip-side, I might add another worldmap locations instead!

And with that, I'm punching out for today!

To balance out last week, have an early Tuesday update this time!

I'm currently in the lengthy process of finalizing the new areas on the Frozen Continent so they will be available for exploration when the beta hits later this month, with Queen's Landing done and Luminessa nearly having all NPC's added.
Since it's a slow progress with not much to be reported, how about I list some of the content that'll be available in the upcoming version on top of the minor adjustments and improvements I made?

- The Slave Collar can now be purchased
- Laquadia has been added to the tent mechanic
- Naz'Raala and Laquadia has been added as available opponents in Stripping o' Die
- The Frozen Continent has been included to the world
- Two additional castle upgrades has been added
- One arc worth of story content
- Four new worldmap locations
- Three new CG Scenes

And thus, I'll be heading back to work!

Sorry 'bout the late post, but there is still Tuesday in some parts of the world!

This has been another productive week, I've spent a lot of time on Naz'Raala (Steel Demoness) and given her a cutscene related to her face reveal, which is triggered by beating her in Strippin' o' Die.
I'm also in the process of adding NPC's to the Frozen Continent, and added a new Bad End scene that'll play out if you pretty much lose to any monster in the world.

Speaking of which, I'm remaking the traditional way Game Over occur by letting you buy fairly expensive "Feather of Awakening" that'll restore all HP/SP and respawn you at the entrance of the map if you lose a battle against a non-boss enemy, but if you don't have one on you when everyone is knocked out, it'll still be a Game Over like normal.
I currently don't have plans for more Bad Ends except one other, but implementing this mechanic will make it far smoother to add additional ones in the future and/or tweak the current ones.

Finally, I'm looking into ways to make upgrading your castle easier.
Down below you can see a rough template of what I may end up adding, to let you access all upgrades from one location, rather than having to find all the workers around the citadel.
On that point, I also added a feature that'll let you do everything Black Dame offered in terms of resource management and recruiting, from the comfort of you private chamber!

And with that, I'll see you again next Tuesday!

Boogie Boo Mummy Mommy Season!

This week have mostly been about a lot of small fixes and tweaks, from correcting some mistakes in earlier game to continue the story progression on the ship ride to the Frozen Continent.
I'd say the voyage alone as a whole will be about the same size as the High Lord Gathering arc in the Imperial Manor, so it's not a short cutscene and a few dialogues like the ride between Whitehaven and Port Ronod.

I also added two more chain slots in your chamber, related to the Slave Collar, so that you can hook up your favorite prisoner to your throne as well, and I've added another building in the courtyard you can upgrade into a stable...for, uhh...some future content, maybe?

I feel like I'm forgetting something, but that'll have to be all for this week!
Oh, right! And the next beta will be out sometime during November!

Maximum Overdrive! (Not the movie)

This week I managed to get a bunch of various things finished, such as adding a full CG Scene taking place during the voyage to the Frozen Continent involving the protagonist, fully implementing the tent mechanic for Laquadia and adding her and Naz'Raala to the Strippin' o' Die mini-game.

I also finally got around to making the "Slave Collar" functional, an item that has been in the game since the first episode and confusing players equally long! You can see a preview of the item in use in the screenshot at the bottom, which will make you feel like a real...uhh, "hero"?

Maybe I did myself a disservice to reduce all the work I did this week into just two paragraphs...
But that's all I have to share for today, so I'll see you again next Tuesday!

A rare Tuesday update has appeared! Reading is super effective!!

It has been a pretty good week, I'd say! I extended the first sequence of the tavern CG Scene as I suspected I would during the last update, and I also finished the alternative way it can play out, so that one is finally done and I'm currenly working on the sail voyage to the Frozen Continent.

And for those of your who have upgraded the Castle Warrengard garden, remember that inaccessable cottage? It's now possible to enter it and turn it into a photo studio with the intention of being able to repeat photoshoots and the possibility to add more girls to it, maybe even make it a source of income?

Although, for now, that's all for this week and I'll see you again next Tuesday!

A wise man once said "..."
Truly, something we can all live by.

Joking aside, this entire week has been spent on working on that tavern CG Scene.
And yes, normally it would be completed now as I've finished writing it...buuuuuut, I have to write two different takes on the same scenario as the initial choice given to the player will have the basic theme play out about the same, but still different enough that I can't copy/paste any segments.
I may also change and extend some parts about it, so we'll see what the final verdict might be.

So with that short update, I'm heading back to work!

Time to tune in for another Tuesday update!

And while I got stuck on the whole painting thing a little longer than I'd like, with changing a few things with they are lined up in your castle, making large portraits interactable in the world and adding a couple of new ones, I also finished off the tavern cutscene at long last and has begun work on the CG Scene that takes place right after it.

Maybe to spoil a bit ahead of time, but there will also be another CG Scene on the sea voyage between the Beldorian Empire and the Frozen Continent that'll have the protagonist literally get in bed with a character who hasn't been "romanceable" before. (Still not Gabrielle, sorry!)

So ending on a mixed note of surely good and sour news, I'll sneakily take my leave!

"We're going to need a bigger update..."

Here we go again, folks! All the graphical layers (besides the Frozen Continent worldmap) has been finished and several more music tracks have been implemented to cover the new continent and future content like Festival Island and the return of arena fights, which is actually what the locked Titles sub-menu has been all about since the first episode...
Goes to show how far ahead I plan sometimes. x3

I've also updated Castle Warrengard so the long hallway on the second floor where the bar is located will now display the paintings you've collected, although unlike the portraits in your private quarters, each painting is tied to a specific one and will automatically show up on the wall once you've collected the right one.
Next up, I'll be attempting to head back into the heavy stuff and continue the story, along with finally finish off that special tavern challenge between Gabrielle and Bal'Rana!

See ya next week!

Oih! It's bloody Tuesday, innit!?

Bellfrost Woods has been finished, woot! I'd say that makes about half the new continent filled with locations, with more to come, but they'll probably be added at a later date after the story has progressed more first and made the worldmap of that area available for exploration.
And I'm currently in the process of adding the additional graphical layers to all the new locations on the Frozen Continent, that's the part that adds the various darkness/lighting effects to the maps.
(Which was absent from LoQO and LoQO2 since I didn't know how to do it back then)

I've also gone back and updated several past graphical layers since they were outdated, vast majority of those involving either Magihounds, Beldorian Knights or both since their looks and sprites has been improved over the years.

And with that...we aim for next week, beam me up Scotty!

How about that, it's another Tuesday!

Bellfrost Woods is almost complete, I wouldn't say it's big but forest maps tend to take longer to make than other layouts since most of the areas are used up by trees that doesn't use much space and need to be placed in large quantities to make up a forest...altough the location will have a hot spring, so there is always that!

I've also worked a bit more on the Odidania tavern scene before the sea voyage and completed the journal so everyone listed now have character previews, along with being in the same artstyle.

And I think that's about it for this week, so onto the next one!

Another week of updates, coming at you hot and heavy!

Continuing where we left off last Tuesday, I've done more work on the Frozen Continent worldmap, overhauling the capital of Luminessa with some new assets to make it stand out a bit more and currently working on a location called Bellfrost Woods after also having added one named the Celestial Gate. (Although final name is pending and may change)

The event taking place in Odidania with the unfinished CG Scene I talked about earlier will also unlock two new costumes, one for each of the two characters clashing tits over a disagreement.
Available for Bal'Rana and Gabrielle, let's call the outfits...Feline Fellatio and Cockwoman. ;)

So with that, I'll be diving back into work and reappear next week as always!

Alright, let's get this short show on the road!

While waiting for the CG Scene to be illustrated for the past cutscene before I finish it, I've been spending this week on constructing more of the worldmap, especially the Frozen Continent since that will be the next destination in the story.
And to meet that end, I've also created the small harbor town of Queen's Landing...
They were planning to name it King's Landing, but some person thought it didn't sound original, like someone else might've already been there and done that. ;3

Sadly, that is all I have to report this week, so let's see what next Tuesday will bring!

Deep, grisly voice: Porn...Porn never changes...

I kinda got stuck on that cutscene that leads up to the latest CG Scene, but I'm starting to get those knots untied and feel like I'm finally making progress I'm happy with.
In the meantime, I've corrected some minor graphical mistakes with the worldmap and updated Illumi to include everything up to this point in the story, so no more clueless running around!

I've also worked around the idea of having one of the scholars reward you with an item that lets you see which NPC's you've spoken to and let you see when/if they get new dialogue due to story progression, although I'm a little hesitant to implement it as I still need to figure out a few things.

And with that, I hardly need to tell you what's next! That's right, next Tuesday!

And we're back to the boring wall 'o text mode!

Normally I would say the Odidania portion is done, but a last minute idea came up I wanted to act upon so it'll be slightly expanded with an additional cutscene and a mini CG-Scene that is basically a Tavern Wench "Deluxe" challenge between Gabrielle and Bal'Rana to settle a score and let you unlock a new costume for each of the two involved participants...and as the level-headed protagonist, it's up to you if you want to take the depravity to the next level, HO HO HOES!

I'm also working on the next character for the tent mechanic and Strippin' o' Die, which would be a spoiler for anyone who doesn't have beta access, but you may be able to guess who if you are up to date!

And with that, next Tuesday it is!

Here is the next emoticon I mentioned the other week, the tiny Nimpi in her default expression, who'll be more akin to a pet you can attempt to capture in a currently unspecified location than anything else.

For your more traditional game updates, I've finished another small cutscene, created and added some additional assets and fixed a handful of bugs the game sneakily had up to this point.
Only one more cutscene to be done and you'll finally be onboard the ship called Magna Gerulus on your way to the Frozen Continent to meet with Fire King Azastral and Ice Queen Celestia of the Illythium Kingdom!

I've also finished the cutscene I mentioned last week and updated the Art Gallery to display all the latest CG Scenes and International Edition illustrations that weren't there earlier.

One week and one beta later...from last Tuesday!

To be expected, I won't have much to report today as most of this past time was spent on prepping the launch for the latest beta and get it out released over the weekend.
It was a learning experience too, as I can now release way smaller patches between versions if they are in need of tiny, quick fixes, reducing download from 2GB+ each time to below 1MB.
Other than that, I'm working on the next part of the story, and that's about it!

So let's pull the rabbit out of the hat before we notice it has boobs, the next beta will be released this upcoming Saturday to my Patreons with the right tier and include everything I've reported!
Beyond that, I've finished a small, new area that is quite literally called the Border Checkpoint, along with adding a new enemy that'll show up at a few different locations during night time and is kind of a mix between a legendary and an ultima.
This is a brand new character and not something I've shown off before, so...you'll see. ;3

Seriously, where do the time go...!?

This has been another productive week with the CG Scene finished and Black Dame added to the Strippin' o' Die mini-game, so I might need one or two more weeks before I can release the next beta to make sure the story arc plays out as it should and check so I haven't missed anything.
In short, the next beta will have Black Dame and Behelda as new opponents, one new CG Scene, a bunch of previous ones covered by the International Edition artist and a complete story arc.
I should also be able to announce the release date next week!

Here we go again!

This has been a really fruitful week, and I'm not even referring to the "Royal Fruit Basket"!
All the cutscenes I wanted to cover for the next beta is now done and the only thing remaining is a CG Scene I haven't started on yet that takes place in this arc, so that'll probably be anything from a couple of days to a few weeks worth of work, depending on how smoothly it'll flow along.
I've also overhauled the worldmap, which should barely be noticeable if done correctly without mistakes, although you will experience an expanded overworld with no longer any visible edges and especially the desert area being slightly larger.

So the current estimate is the next beta release will be sometime in July!
And with that, we're aiming for next Tuesday yet again!

Despite not having much to report this week again, it has been a very productive one!
The current arc has gotten several more, smaller cutscenes done to move the story along and shouldn't really need that much more before I can release a new beta.
The game has also been updated with more International Edition art, so every CG Scene except the two latest ones are now completed, excluding the mini-games that still need to be done.

The curse of weekly updates when you are working on content that takes time, such as cutscenes or maps, you don't get a lot of stuff to report! Dx

But progress has been made nevertheless in form of making additional assets and working on a series of smaller cutscenes that ties together the next part of the story with you heading after Laquadia to get some answers...and perhaps learning a secret or two in the process!
I've also done some bug fixing and improved the effectiveness of all offensive spells as magic users will now get INT boosts from equipped weapons, the better the gear, the higher the boost.

This week I've exclusively worked on adding more maps to the game, with the underground section beneath Colussia being more or less finished at this point and only missing loot/enemies.

This upcoming portion of the game will also explain the Dream Blight, which is a severely underplayed sub-plot I may have to add a few conversations about across the story to keep it relevant and not forgotten, since it's more or less only mentioned in the earlier parts of the game so far.

And that's about it for today, so I'll see you guys again next week as always!

It'll be another one of those Dream Key sequences we've only had one of before with Kythie.
And that repeatable offensive cutscene/CG Scene with Osira is indeed done, 100% realsies!
It was done earlier as I reported, but something about it just grinded my gears and it didn't felt like it flowed as well as it could have, but all of that changed when I decided to impliment an idea that had been running in my mind for months now, and everything just clicked while falling into place!
Without stating spoilers, previously the cutscene would have Osira reveal she had been working with, and provided information by Zweibelle, but that has changed...you'll see!

Thus I can announce the next beta will hit this weekend, including those two CG Scenes and adult Farah as an opponent in Strippin' o' Die, perhaps Queen Opala too if I can make it in time!

See you next week!
