Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Emoticon 13

Last Tuesday update in 2015!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

To think it'll be a whole year before I can make another Tuesday update again.
You know, until next week...?

I hope you all had a great Christmas and will handle New Years Eve with a moderate amount of alcohol and not too many premature explosions! ;)

Since I only took a day off myself during the holidays, the next beta is so close to completion as I only need to tidy up a few things and pray to the almighty stallion that I'll still be able to make it in time before the new year without rushing anything! The new beta will include a little bit more story and a new mini-scene I think a lot of people has been looking forward to...hint hint, tease tease?

And to close this update, I'm presenting you with Kristallia's standard expression emoticon.!

See you again soon with the first update of 2016, and Happy New Year!

Ho ho holy crap, Tuesday update!
(Someone, hurry up and make a XXX-mas joke!)

Because nothing says Christmas more than having your stockings filled up with joy and being presented with Queen Opala's battlepose!

Yup, probably did hit my head pretty hard this morning!
But nonetheless, she is so close to finally be introduced in the game with her stronger and more grown-up personality as I've had a rather successful week with doing storytelling.
The plot has advanced further, the protagonist has encountered new faces and the High Lord Gathering is imminent just around the corner!

I can't make any promises because the next few days are going to get a bit hectic, but if I can find the spare time to finish off a few things I want in the game, a new beta will be released before the end of the year. :D

And with that, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Or if you belong to a religion which doesn't celebrate it, then at least have a wonderful holiday! ^_^

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Ze God, das Tuesday update! (Not actual German lingo)
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

What do I have to report for this week, you wonder...?
I finished the most recent location I've been working on, simply named "Road to Castle" in previous posts but with the finalized name being Fierra Falls.
And with that, so far the list of added locations to episode 2 of LoQO Origin is as follow -
Serenity Bridge, Desert Checkpoint, Immemorial Glade, Arlon Village, The Four Seasons Inn, Uncle Dad's Ranch, Smuggler's Route, Valley Checkpoint, Tower of Descent and Fierra Falls!

I've also gone through the story script in the base game and changed/added a few things to add further depth to past events and important characters, like...what I should've done long ago, give the late Beldorian Emperor a name to easier seperate him from the current one. x3
I plan to focus on the story next and continue upon that, unless I get stuck and can't quite word sentances like I want, but if that happens then I'll instead focus on beginning work on Castle Warrengard, your "build-your-mansion" part in this game!
There is never shortage of things to do, I tellz ya!

Before I end for today, I'd also like to pitch a LoQO CG set by Vaesark.
It features Osira getting the upper hand on Opala with sloppy results, you can find a preview by clicking right here! Though it might be worth mentioning the full set it isn't quite free!

But I think that's all for this time, so I'll see again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Naz'Raala

Guns and stallions! Tuesday update, ya'll!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

And here is the second new character you heard about a few weeks back, Naz'Raala! She is the right-hand (wo)man to the ruthless, self-proclaimed Baron Ironard of Castle Warrengard - the same castle you'll eventually gain as your resident/base for the build-your-mansion part of the series.

Naz'Raala herself blindly follows her master's orders and does whatever she feels is required to complete his objectives.
Especially the people of Arlon has felt Baron Ironard's tyrannical oppression as he often sends Naz'Raala and his group of bandits to raid the village and abduct men for unknown reasons.

No one has seen Naz'Raala without her helmet, with some saying she has the face of an angel while other's claim she is uglier than a Giga Lardo...but her voice gives nothing away, as she never speaks.

And with that, the work I've been doing this week have mostly involved creating more maps.
I didn't quite like how the road to Castle Warrengard looked before, so I scrapped it and began from scratch, which has only been a good thing as I'm far more pleased now. x3

So! As always, I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results

Tuesday update and your monthly poll time!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This month it was asked which your favorite town/village in LoQO: Origin - Episode I was, with a total of 1178 votes gathered for this time around!

Brightstone
Won by 58%, being 690 of the votes.
Colussia
Second, 23% with 275 of the votes.
Port Ronod
Third, 12% with 153 of the votes.
Caimridge

Last with 5%, being 60 of the votes.

I guess it wasn't even close, Brightstone with it's noble citizens and tavern wench challenge introduction was the clear winner for this round!

This week I haven't really been able to work that much on the game, it's mostly been about getting more trading cards done, organizing the conclusion for the LoQO Contest held at HentaiFoundry and pulling some strings in the background for a secret project I'll reveal soon enough...
Or what the heck, let's just say I might be able to produce some real high quality 3D clips starring at least Farah and/or maybe even Osira in a not too distant future, if everything goes smoothly! ;)

(Edit: Forgot to mention I also released the new beta last Friday!)

And with that small update, I'll see you for a hopefully more eventful next week!

Tuesday update, whoopidoo!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Aw'right, so this week I've mostly been working on trading cards and polishing up a few things for the next beta which will be released this upcoming Friday! :D
I didn't had time to include all the new locations for this one, so the portion of the map that'll include those will still be locked away for the time being, but the beta will still have some new content such as a new mini-scene and remade caves to be compatible with the new lantern effect.

With that short update, have another preview of the two latest cosplay models added to the roster!
So I hope you'll enjoy these Illumi and adult Farah goodies while I'll see you again next week!

I wish I could say I've got a lot of things done this week, buuuuuuuut...you'd all go Phoenix Wright on my ass and you'd be completely right! Like a huge portion of the gaming world, I too have been sucked into this little indie title named Fallout 4 you might've heard about. ;)

That is not to say I haven't done anything except gaming, of course! The next beta is still coming out this month as planned and it might even be this week, though next one seem a bit more likely...only time will tell as I shake off my Fallout addiction and gets back to my regular schedule.

But this week I also have another cosplay sneak peek for you guys, Illumi!
And as always, I'll see you again for the next update!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Kristallia

Butterflies and ponies! Tuesday update!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Introducing the crystal fairy species of the Northern Continent, said to grant wishes by those who manage to capture one, but also bring 50 years of misfortune if you were to intentionally or accidently kill one.
Like most fairies, crystal fairies too are very small and can easily stand tall in the palm of a human hand.

The protagonist will come across one named Kristallia on his journey, who'll be imprisoned in a cage but suspiciously alone and more than happy to help out!
But is there perhaps something sinister hiding behind her cheerful attitude...?

Kristallia will be a purely supportive role in the game, much like Illumi, and will offer helpful tips and such - yet I've not decided exactly on what, but it might be related to helping you track down trading cards.

I've also been working more on the game's maps, adding three new locations by the names of the Four Seasons Inn, Path to Castle and Smuggler's Route. (Some names pending and not finalized)

And with this short, little update, I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results

It's Tuesday update and poll time!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

It asked who had the best scene in LoQO: Origin - Episode I, with 1787 votes gathered!

All of them
Won by 31%, being 571 of the votes.
Farah (Teen)
Second, 28% with 511 of the votes.
Laquadia
Third, 10% with 186 of the votes.
Gabrielle
Fourth, 9% with 175 of the votes.
Masquerade
Fifth, 7% with 142 of the votes.
Illumi
Sixth, 4% with 85 of the votes.
Farah (Adult)
Seventh, 4% with 84 of the votes.
Layla
Last with 1%, being 33 of the votes.

This is the kind of results everyone can enjoy, because everyone was a winner!

For this week I've kept on working on the locations for the game without making any real significant progress, but still progress nonetheless! I also aim to release the next beta this month, it'll at least include a few changes and a new mini-scene, but I'll only unlock access to these new locations if I'm able to finish them before then.

It also looks like the "Celebrity Deal" I had on my Patreon will be replaced with "Animations".
What that means is that the game will have animations, whatever they may be bonuses or actual cutscenes, while the "Celebrity Deal" will be pushed further down to a higher milestone goal instead - It's not a choice I made by myself, but one I asked to the supporters on Patreon. :)

And with that, I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

A Tuesday update is a Tuesday update! (Of course, of course?)
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Might as well get this out of the way, it will unfortunately be rather short and boring. x3

So during this week I've been more or less working solely on expanding the world, and I think nearly everything with the overworld map for episode 2 has been finished with the exception of the most southern portion.

I'll naturally still need to add local locations, I think around seven out of eleven are ready before I can release the next beta - originally those seven were meant to be it, but since then I expanded the worldmap to allow even more exploring before having to "switch" regions and have progression blocking moments.

And with that short info update, I'll see you again for a hopefully more exciting next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Adult Farah Cosplay

Yes, it is a me! Your weekly Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This week I've polished up and finalized the mentioned mini-scene from last update, so that is entirely finished now and ready to be discovered for the next beta, I've also been working on a second mini-scene that'll take place during episode 1...along with a new Beatrix encounter, perhaps they could even be one and the same? ;3

I've made progress on the added locations too, with Arlon Village having most NPC's added.
Planning ahead for the introduction of your own castle, I only hope I'm not aiming for more than I can swallow, because it's going to be really ambitious.
I want to tell you guys about it, but it'll be kinda of a spoiler, but at the same time no one will be disappointed if I fail to add something you didn't know anything about to begin with. xD
So for now, let's just say the castle will be a preeeeeetty big improvement over Greenfield from LoQOII - taking upgrading, recruiting and purchasing property to a whole...ooops, said too much! ;)

And this week I'm also giving you a cosplay sneak peek in form of adult Farah!
I'll see you again in the next update!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

ZOMG! Tuesday update, can you feel the love!?
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Sorry for the slight delay, but I got a bit of an information drop here!

Let's begin with saying I've finished the basic map work for seven different locations for episode II so far, those include the village of Arlon, Immemorial Glade, Tower of Descent, Uncle's Ranch, Serenity Bridge, Valley Checkpoint and Desert Checkpoint.
But they still need to have enemies/NPC, lootable stuff and such added before they are completed.

I've also completed the first full scene and one mini-scene this week, the later was meant to be included in the first episode, but I didn't had time to make it back then...so chances are you've already seen the CG for that if you're one of those who datamined the game. ;P
The Beldorian Forces will be more fleshed out too in the next beta with new ranks, introducing Imperial Archknights and Desert Legions, on top of those Beldorian Knights and Paladins we had from before.

I'm also setting up for a new villain duo that'll be a bit of a Borderlands homage, a crazy midget baron and his near speechless-dumb barbarian queen who has never shown her face...they will be a fearful outlaw gang currently occupying an ancient castle that you will eventually take over for yourself, as Origin's improved version of the mansion from LoQOI or Greenfield from LoQOII. :3

And it seems like I'll have to drop what was supposed to be the new voice for Adult/Teen Farah since the voice actress hasn't been replying to any of the mails I've sent for months, no explination given, but she is still doing work for Studio FOW so I have no idea what is going on with that.

Anyhow, the weekly update is over for this time!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results

Tuesday update, it's poll time!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

The first poll since it was re-introduced has been rounded up!
It asked who your favorite female was in LoQO: Origin - Episode I, with 3211 votes gathered!

All of them
Won by 25%, being 803 of the votes.
Osira
Second, 13% with 439 of the votes.
Gabrielle
Third, 12% with 387 of the votes.
Farah (Teen)
Fourth, 10% with 339 of the votes.
Masquerade
Fifth, 9% with 316 of the votes.
Laquadia
Sixth, 9% with 305 of the votes.
Farah (Adult)
Seventh, 6% with 214 of the votes.
Ra'Tiki
Eight, 5% with 175 of the votes.
Beatrix
Ninth, 4% with 145 of the votes.
Illumi

Last with 2%, being 88 of the votes.

The top was pretty even, except with the clear winner being...erm, well, everyone!

As for what I've been working on this week, I got too hanged up on this first scene I've been working on since I wanted to add a fan service request...but after struggling for several days to make it work, I've decided to just drop it for this time and suddenly I made progress far quicker. xP
So what had to be cut will be included in a different scene instead, better for everyone!

I've also finished a bunch of more trading cards and preparing a few additional costumes for the female cast, with yet one more character planned to be introduced...but with this one being more of a useful support character in the same style as Illumi, and not directly scheduled to have a scene of her own - though that might chance, who knows?

Anyhow, I'll see you next week again as always!

Tuesday F.A.P update!
(Family Agitative Porn...Yup, just made that up!)

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This past week I've been busy with adding more locations for the game, actually managed to add four new ones! We have one secret location, then Valley Checkpoint, Serenity Bridge and Uncle Dad's Ranch...all names are pending and not finalized. x3

I also have four CG scenes coming up and planned out, though I may only be able to finish one before next update.

And I mentioned last week that three more romanceable women would become available nearly the same time during the story, so here is one of them! Mhu'Tiki with her standard expression emoticon.
By default, she'll always wear her glasses and will sport a british accent to her VA.
While you can't change how she talks and acts, you will be able to convince her to remove the glasses if you for some reason don't like them.
If you don't remember or missed out on the information I shared about her in the past, she is a Neifu and from the same tribe as Ra'Tiki, but sold out her own kind because of her insatiable lust for mating - and she also have really big breasts, which is extremely rare for a Neifu.

But that'll be all for now, see you next week as always!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Tuesday update, c-c-c-combo!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Well, we're entering a light news period for a while now as a lot of work I'll be doing these days involves creating new locations for the game as episode II will open up another 1/3 of the Beldorian worldmap.

It might surprise some people but each individual map actually takes a pretty long time to make.
Depending on size, it varies between 2-4 hours since you very rarely do everything perfect on your first try or is satisfied with the first take you make on a map.
But this is nothing new, it's been like that since the first LoQO game, so no worries! x3
So, since last week, I've changed all cavern locations to be compatible with the new lantern effect and I'm nearly done constructing the second part to the worldmap where most of episode II will take place.

I've also finished the interiors of the Imperial Manor where the High Lord Gathering will be held and introduce you to three more romanceable females...basically at the same time!

And with that, the update is over! See you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

It's Tuesday update time, right? ;D

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Resting time is over and I'm slowly getting back into the game!
Mostly tweaks and fixes for now, but also a few ideas I want to have implemented.
Like how location names appear when you first visit a new area will be changed so it'll only happens once, no matter how quickly you exit the initial map, but letting the text carry over between maps and will fade away on its own.

How caves are illuminated after you buy the lantern will also change for the better, and so will the character sprite as he'll even be holding up said lantern during those areas to make it all look and feel nicer!

But sadly that'll be all for now, a short week update. :)

Since we're back at square one with episode II rolling into production, there isn't a whole lot to say!
I've been taking it "easy" this week after the release of the first episode, if you consider spending most of the days being bombarded with questions and answering them to be relaxing. ;)

You may also notice the poll voting is back!
But instead of weekly, it'll be done monthly - though I must say I'm fascinated it's mostly rather even between all options, almost like the game has such a variety of characters to appeal to everyone. ^^

Getting the Tuesday update done, aww'yeah!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So this past week I've done nothing but adding content and polishing things for the upcoming release, and that means more side-quests and the late, but in time, inclusion of treasure maps!
It works a little bit differently this time, yet still familiar enough to fans of LoQOII.

As stated before, the release of Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Episode I will be on the 31st of August, this means that next week's Tuesday update will instead be moved to Monday, to officially announce the release and include one or two download links.

That also means the last beta should be out in the next couple of days, Friday at latest. :D

So I'll see you again next week, for the launch of LoQO: Origin!

Tuesday update, get hyped!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Let me begin with re-capping, in case some people missed the extra update announcement I made in the middle of last week - the storymode in LoQO: Origin - Episode I is officially completed and the finished episode will be released for everyone later this month on the 31st of August!

And it really has been a productive week, best one in six month!
Besides finishing the storymode, I've also managed to add several sidequests, one more mini-scene and some more collectable illustrations/trading cards.
Between now and the release date, I'm really going to try and pack the game with as much content and polish as possible to make it the best experience I can for those who've been waiting. :D

And with that, I'll share a screenshot from the game.
What you see is me playing as a wolf in Beastman Mode, wearing the default outfit and visiting a house in the city of Brightstone during nighttime. :)

I'll see you again next week!

I just wanted to let you all know that the storymode for LoQO: Origin - Episode I is now officially completed! And because of that, I can set a specific date to release the game - August the 31st!

Between now and then, I'll focus on adding additional stuff, trying to finish the last two mini-scenes I wanted to include and releasing a last beta that could very well end up being the final version if there are no issues with it. :D

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Tuesday update, a little later in the evening than usual!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

I don't really know where to begin...
This is going to be another of those slimmer updates, but it'll pack a ton of good news!
For the last three days combined, I've gotten a total of 20 hours of pure work done and it feels great! Counting this entire week - half of what little story remained in episode 1 has been completed and I've looked over the entire game to make small changes, depending on if you play as human or beastman.
I've also given Beatrix more dialogue, completely finished and added costume swapping/unlocking AND rounded up 10 more trading cards!

So there you go, a small but rich dose of update information. xD
But right now, I feel so hyped I just want to head straight back into development and do more...
So that's exactly what I'll be doing!

See you again next week, maybe with news that the storymode in episode 1 is finished!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Mhu'Tiki Alt.

No more GamesDoneQuick...but still Tuesday!

Support me and production of the LoQO
games at - Patreon

Fooling around with a few ideas, I thought Mhu'Tiki might actually be a very good candidate to introduce the first female character with glasses in the LoQO universe who can also use them as a natural defense agains premature blasts to the face.
Though I know not everyone might like the change or idea, so she probably won't be wearing them all the time, or the protagonist could potentionally influence her decision to wear them or not.

So in the end, I think everyone ends up winning!

This week I've mostly been working on trading cards and perfecting the layout for them within the Art Gallery, both funny and annoying how moving a single image one pixel requires just as much work as moving it 100 pixels or more.
Ah well! It looks good and I'm really happy about it!
All 10 trading cards for Beatrix is also done with Laquadia shortly hitting that mark too.

This is a bit of a light update so I'm afraid that'll be all until next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

How about that, Tuesday update!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

I can't say there is much information to share this week.
In case some people didn't know it before, I personally color every trading card in the game and it's been like that since the beginning when they first appear in LoQOII.
So since last week, I've been working hard on finishing more trading cards for LOQO: Origin.
In fact, I think I've colored and finished nearly 20 new ones, although not all of them will be included into episode 1 since some of them involve characters not yet "unlockable".
I can, however, say that Beatrix will be getting a whooping 10 trading cards in the next beta!
And that is not including any other I might be able to finish between now and then, but you should be able to count on a few more with Laquadia and teen Farah. :3

This week is also the time for GamesDoneQuick to distract me, it's really fun to watch!
So while that is going on, I'll probably focus on getting more trading cards done and expand a few locations in the LoQO: Origin with new areas.

(EDIT - Forgot to mention my birthday is during this week, yay?)

So yeah, I'll see you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Emoticon 11

Oh my gosh, Tuesday update!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Alrighties! Like mentioned past week, I ended up releasing the latest beta over the weekend that fully included Beastman Mode and also introduced Beatrix to the story.

Hmm, can't really say I've had enough time to do much else, Beastman Mode was a little tricker to add than anticipated but were included without a single issue...I believe that is worth a pat on the back, to go along with that kick in the arse for taking so long!

Oh, and speaking about Beatrix earlier, here a emoticon from the game, featuring her standard expression.
You won't see it often, but she IS indeed capable of putting on a smile.
Besides that, I've mostly been tweaking various dialogues across the game, adding more context to the lore, the world and its character while also trying to get back into the story so I can continue from where I left off.

But that'll be all for now, see you next week as always!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Mhu'Tiki

Master Hen'Tai be praised, Tuesday update!

And here we have Mhu'Tiki's battlepose!
The Neifu who simply can never have enough sex and even went so far as to betray the Tiki Tribe, only to experience more of it.

This week also brings a lot of news, such as sometime between now and the next update I'll be releasing beta v0.10 with Beastman Mode included! It was a little bit more work to add than anticipated, but nothing that'll slow down things.

Another big update is that I've made some last minute changes to have the VA's for teen Farah and adult Farah replaced - originally those were two seperate actresses, but I thought it'd make more sense to have just one person do both, a VA who can do a teen and mature voice without sounding the same.
This may concern fans of Farah's original voice of previous games, but just Osira was replaced for Origin, I can assure you that the new VA is just as talented and has that deep, sultry voice we come to expect from Farah.

How about that, finally a week with a decent amount of information!
So I'll see you guys again at the next update!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Summer Greetings!

And thus, we have reached the Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So far, so good...no drillings, no construction work, and a week of rest.
I feel I still need more time to get well, but it's certainly a huge improvement over last week!
Heck, I've even been able to finally work on the game some more in the recent couple of days!
Nothing exciting though, just arranging and adding Beastman Mode content into the game, along with having a few Beatrix related items finalized.

Speaking of which, I'll either show her normal emoticon in the next update, or Mhu'Tiki's battlepose...we'll see which way fate will turn, huh? ;)

But for today, I wanted to do something special to celebrate the six months of terror being over!
Oh, and that the incredible tropical heat wave over Sweden is over...it only lasted a few days, but it felt like waaay more and I don't want it back.

So here you go, a "mystery photo" that certainly has no business being outside of LoQO: Origin!

See you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Beatrix

Here we go again, Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

I think they really are done now, no more drillings to be heard the past two days so the healing process can finally begin...hopefully I'll be back to my normal self within 1-2 weeks, and then I'll head straight back into developing the game and get the first episode released shortly after!

But for now, here is Beatrix's battlepose from the game! As mentioned before, she is an elite knight known as a Crusader, same as the protagonist.
Once the main character is framed for the assassination of the Emperor, she'll be one of the people coming after you as she values laws and justice very highly, even if you were to be the best of friends...

Buuut considering the protagonist can probably be a bit of a pervert and she normally has zero interest for sex or flirting, the two likely have a rather chilly work relationship.

And that'll be all for now, let's see what next week brings!

I have to apologise if advance, because this one is going to be pretty short and boring.
First of all, if the information is correct, all the drillings/construction/renovation/torture work will finally be done this Friday, so I'll have to hear if that is true and if next week, and the week after that, will be noise free and harmonic to my poor ears.

And that might've just been the very last time I whined about it, yay!

Beastman Mode has nearly all the scenes illustrated as well!
At this pace, I'm confident it'll be finished and even included into episode 1 before it's released!
So that'll be something for everyone to enjoy, not just people with beta access. :3
A lot of Beatrix related content will also likely be up for preview soon in upcoming updates, battlepose, emoticons and cosplay photoshoot, all scheduled or currently in production!

So yeah, I'm afraid that's all for now but I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Cosplay Overview 2

Guess what...? Tuesday update!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Aaaah, just two more weeks and the constructions will be done!
I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to get some of that sweet, sweet sleep and have my mind be refreshed enough so I can focus and head straight back into the game again!
I have so many ideas bubbling in my head and eager to be coded into the game that I probably have 1/3 of episode 2's content already finished in my mind, scenes included. xD
Thanks to everyone for your patience and riding out this storm with me, it's truly been a frustrating time for us all and it's going be such a relief to leave this in the past and keep heading forward.

As for right now, I'm sharing another preview of the current set of cosplay models.
So listing from left to right we have Gabrielle, teen Farah, Opala and of course, Osira!
I can also mention Beatrix will be added to the mix in the coming weeks, helmet and everything!

See you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Mhu'Tiki

Yup, time for the Tuesday update!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

And now it's time to introduce the last new character, which I mentioned past week, Mhu'Tiki of the Neifu Tribe!

This catgirl could probably be diagnosed with nymphomania as she has a near unhealthy obsession with mating, a trait that made her intentionally sell out her tribe as she wanted everyone to experience her "joy".
Due to her unnaturally large breasts for her race, she was nicknamed Moo Moo and is despised by Ra'Tiki for betraying their tribe and siding with the poachers.

Mhu'Tiki is a character that will be referenced earlier, but doesn't show up in person until the beginning of Episode 2, naturally she'll be added to the list of romanceable women to "conquer" as well! And to avoid confusion, it's probably worth mentioning that Mhu'Tiki and Ra'Tiki are not siblings, they merely come from the same tribe.

See you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Beatrix

Tuesday update!

Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Surprise! This week I have a new character to introduce with another one coming down the road as well!
This is Beatrix, a warrior from the Frozen Continent and a Crusader in the Beldorian Forces, just like the protagonist.
I always intended to have more Crusaders in the game, since it'd just make more sense that way, but didn't had any chance to work on that until now.

Beatrix is someone who takes her job very seriously and have no interest in men, women or beasts alike, sexually.
Though there is one way to basically turn her into a complete slut...but what and how is left for you to discover as the player. ;)

I'm uncertain if she appears in the next beta, because her emoticons, pixel sprite and battlepose isn't ready yet, but she will be included before episode 1 is finished.

And that is all for this week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Voice of Gabrielle

You guessed it, Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So it seems like I have some good news to share!
While I'm currently still a sleepless wreck, I've learned the construction workers will be all done before vacations begin in July, which means they won't be back in August.
In short, only one more month of hell left before it's finally all over!

However, I don't really have much to share this week.
Beastman Mode is still being worked on and coming along smoothly, and I have been looking around for potentionally getting someone to compose original music for the game.
There are a lot of talents out there, but getting in touch with them is a different story. x3

This time I'll also be sharing a voiced line with Gabrielle, and despite her first appearing in LoQOII, this is the first time you get to hear her voice!
Enjoy and listen to the sample by downloading it from right here!

So I guess this is all for now, see you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Opala Cosplay

Guess what...? Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Only one month left before the drillings will finally stop...
Because finished or not, they still have vacation in all of July, which hopefully gives me time to rest up and get back to normal, along with finishing off episode 1.

Speaking of drillings, I don't think they did any of that last week because I managed to get a little sleep and have some work done on the game! Mostly just Beastman Mode content, so not much more now before the mode is all in, active and ready to be tried in the next beta!

And this week I'm sharing another cosplay sneak peek -
Queen Opala herself, with a cameo of her beloved pet panther Sebastillion!
So I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Voice of Layla

Just in time for another Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Originally I was going to share a preview of Opala's cosplay photoshoot this week, but a slight issue came up, so it'll be postponed to next week instead...not too bad! :)

Instead, I'll be sharing a line by Layla the Mare from the game! A character not properly introduced until early in episode 2, but can still be found in the first episode if you do a some exploration!
For those familiar with LoQOII, Layla is the mother of the evil horseman Eclipse.
Enjoy and listen to the sample by downloading it from right here!

I also believe Beastman Mode will be available in the next beta, not all the scenes are done yet, but it has enough content and material finalized to be playable without any issues, the only thing missing are the CG mini-scenes that doesn't involve the main character.
So that means all scenes WITH the beastman protagonist IS done. ;D

I think that'll be all for this week, see you next Tuesday!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Time for another Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Not much to report this time, yet I can't help but feel I'm forgetting something...
If you people would be interested to read about it, LewdGamer published an interview they made with me the other week, and I also released a new beta over the weekend!

While this update is one of the more shallow in a while, I should have a little preview of the Opala cosplay model next week, if everything goes as planned! I'll also hopefully be releasing voice clip samples for Gabrielle, Ra'Tiki and Layla the Mare in a not too distant future!

Though I may take this time to ask you fans what you think would be most fun -
Regarding the cosplay photoshoot sets, would it be preferred to have them be additional reward purchases with the Golden Tokens you otherwise use to buy upgraded equipment, should they be naturally rewarded from earning titles, or something else? :)

So yeah, sadly that's all for now, but see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Cosplay Overview

Tuesday update, always on time!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This week is going to be a pretty short update, I'm afraid. x3
I'm currently trying a few different things to get more sleep, but since I'm unusued to it all, I'm actually get less sleep than I normally do...so I apologize in advance if my English turns out worse than normal in this update or if some sentances are oddly pieced together!

But there are some good news, I've learned this entire building WILL be finished and free from all construction work and drilling by the end of August, if we're fortunate, end of June as they're trying to get it done before vacations which is in July.

So that mean production can finally resume at full force again into July, if they're finished by June, or September if they don't - but the important thing is that we all have a end in sight, yay for that!
In the meantime, I'll of course try to do my best and work whenever I can while supervising other parts being done, and also aim to get the first episode 1.

This week's I decided to show a line-up of the three cosplayers done so far, in familiar poses to fans of LoQO, as you've surely seen the source material to these "battleposes".
As always, I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Teen Farah Cosplay

Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Lately I've been trying to get used to the feeling of going to sleep with both ear-plugs AND ear-protections on to block out the most of the drilling noises, though it's still too early to tell if it's doing more good than harm...because, dang, does those things make my ears feel sore in the morning in the not-so-good way!

It might just be coincedence, but I have the impression it makes me hear less drillings...
I'll give it another week, but if it doesn't work out, I'll give in to the final resort of attempting to change my sleeping patterns so they can't wake me up anymore.

Anyway, Beastman Mode in particular is making a lot of progress! With pretty much all battleposes and pixel sprites finished, only the CG scenes remains before everything about that part is done, and even those are nearly half-done as well!

This week's cosplay sneak peek comes in form of teen Farah, last of the previews for now!
So I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Osira Cosplay

Yo-Yo, tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So yeah, this week has probably been the worst one yet since the renovations and repairs started four months ago, the noise level was just insanely loud, and both yesterday, along with today, I barely got to sleep at all because these has been the two days they needed access to my own appartment to replace water pipes in my bathroom.

Still, somehow I feel positive the next three months will be a lot better than the previous three, it almost sounds like the main water pipes will all be done already next month, with the remaining work stretching across all summer and into fall will actually be the empty appartment renovations.
No idea how loud that will be, I think the closest one to my own is two or three floors above my own, compared to the nightmare one from before which was basically by my bedroom.

Then what has been going on, hmm...
Beastman Mode is underway and going strong, still waiting for more lines to be recorded and has recently seen a Farah cosplay photoshoot gone through, along with a LoQO related comic being finalized, though it might not be to everyone's taste and will at some point be included in the game.

It feels like I'm forgetting something...but I'm too tired to remember. xD

This week's cosplay sneak peek comes in form of Osira, with Farah coming next time!
And speaking about next time, see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Gabrielle Cosplay

Tuesday update, keeping the streak going!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

I nearly got a whole weeks of sleeping this time, felt good~
The long needed sleep also made me feel clear enough in my head and focused to let me finally do some more dialogue scripting in the game, yay! But the drilling is supposed to resume this week, so it might be too early to celebrate...I mean, some moron rang my doorbell at 8:30AM in the morning today, dunno who that was, kinda realized on my way to the door I probably shouldn't open it while only wearing panties...

Anyway, that was probably something unrelated since the repair guys have access keys anyway.

So thanks to the sleep, I got a little more work done this week, that's certainly good news!
I were able to add a couple of more sidequests and been arranging for more voiced lines to be recorded, I'll be expecting a pretty large batch from several VA's at this point! :D

This week, I thought I'd give people a little sneak peek on how the cosplay models look like as their represented characters for one of the Patreon pledge rewards, but also what'll eventually show up in the game as well - starting out with introducing Gabrielle! (Sorry, no names will be shared)

And if you're still reading, I'll see you next week!

Legend of Queer Opal - Origin

So this is an odd turn of events.
It looks like a certain company has a patent on the word "Origin".
While this mean they have taken over publishing rights for my next game, I can assure you nothing will change and the quality will absolutely not dimish one bit as they have a long standing track record of delivering perfect games of highest production value!
And I'm really not saying it because they're paying me!

Though there will be some "improvements" to help innovate the game.
However, these things are so tiny that you'll hardly notice any difference at all, such as including microtransactions and selling you back most parts of the original game in form of DLC.
But yeah, it's a FPS now.

And if you haven't guessed it already - April's Fool Day! :D

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Voice of Osira

Tuesday update, y'all!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

I was going to happily announce the drilling is finally done, then I saw a notice in my mailbox...
So here is the deal, apparently they are completely changing out the four main water pipes running through the building, and while they're doing this, they're also renovating any appartment in the complex that is empty.

There aren't really any good news, because I found out they have only done half the pipes, and work on the next one will start this month...and it includes my appartment in the list of those they need access to, they're also going to renovate FOUR more appartments with this main pipe, and each appartment has an estimated one month working time.

I guess I can only hope these appartments that need renovations are on floors far away from my own so the drillings can barely be heard, or not heard at all, I probably also have to completely revamp my sleeping pattern to make sure their renovation work is never being done while I'm asleep, because that is pretty much all I can do without moving out, right?
I hope all of you can understand this is beyond frustrating to me, not only because of what the lack of sleep does to me, but I really want to go back and work with my game with full force.
But I refuse to let those f**king ***holes win, it's just such a huge insult they still demand full rent, so I'm going to take this week and try to adjust my sleeping hours, first time I'd be drastically changing them in over 10 years.

I know this almost sounds like an April's Fool joke, but sadly, that day isn't until tomorrow. D:

Anyway, in game related news, I've worked some more on the costume aspect of the game and arranging for more lines to be recorded, along with adding a few by Osira, but the other people creating content for the game is doing a fantastic job and Beastman Mode is coming along nicely!

And with that, I'm presenting you with a line by Osira from the game, with her new VA!
Enjoy and listen to the sample by downloading it from right here!

It might also be worth mentioning that LewdGamer has been reviewing both previous LoQO games and even have an upcoming interview with myself in the pipeline! ;)

See you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Voice of Masquerade

Time for da Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Drilling, drilling against the wall, who are you driving most insane of all?
In all seriousness, it has been slowing down, most of last week was sweet, sweet silence, but they did a little drilling today and yesterday, I also spotted a van belonging to a painting business last week, so lets hope these are all signs that they're finishing things up at long last.

I've still been working on the game by adding all of Masquerade's recorded lines and figuring out how the costume system should play out, so with the next beta, you'll be able to try that out! Basically, you need to collect pieces of "Costume Fabrics" that comes in sets for each specific character, these can be earned by finding them through exploration, as rewards from sidequests and/or possibly in other ways too!

By turning in three pieces at a clothier and paying a small designer's fee, you'll have a new outfit weaved! And while I did mentioned "Minotaur Queen" and "Women With No Name" as outfits in the previous Tuesday update, it's not 100% guaranteed these specific costumes will be unlockable in episode 1 since I'm having more made - though I can still promise at least one optional costume for each playable girl will be available, if not the two mentioned by name, then two others instead!

And since I mentioned Masquerade's voice, I'm presenting you with a line from the game!
Enjoy and listen to the sample by downloading it from right here!

That's all for this week, see you against next time!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Horse Protagonist

Tuesday update, baby!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

They're still at it, but I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as the drillings have calmed down in intensity this week, so hopefully they're all done soon!

And for this week, it's time to introduce the last one of the three beastmen on offer for Beastman Mode, the stud! So that makes it Wolfman, Bullman and Horseman! Who would you play as, unless you want to go the safe route and play a regular human, who comes both in creamy white and chocolate black? x3

While I don't feel sharp enough to add any story to the game due to the impressive lack of sleep streak, I have been working on it nonetheless with some other things.

Whenever the next beta hits, it will at least come with all of Masquerade's recorded lines added to it, a few more titles and the added feature of finding, unlocking and changing into different costumes that will both change how characters look in battle, and also their sprites.

While the protagonist is currently not planned to get any extra outfits besides the ones you naturally unlock throughout the story, the female partymembers will all have a minimum of one optional costume each to find in episode 1.

Lets call some of these outfits...Cavegirl, Woman With No Name and Minotaur Queen. ;)

That's all for this week, stay tuned for the next one!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Bull Protagonist

Tuesday update, aww'yeah!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

The race is on - will the drillings stop or will my mind snap first? Who will come out victorious!? But in all seriousness and trying to hold back the whining here, I feel very grateful there will only be three more weeks of construction work going on in my appartment complex, at most.

Sadly I haven't really been able to do anything with the game this week either, which likely will be a repeating tale until I can sleep properly, so I've only done some bug fixing from the previous beta and supervising content being created for the game by other people, such as the beastman mode illustrations, battleposes, pixel sprites, and of course voice recordings.

Speaking of which, this week I'm introducing the bullman choice out of the three beasts that'll eventually be available! Now, this guy would be of the same species as another bull I showed before, the Val'Toras who'd be an ally of Osira.
And thus, only the horseman remain!

(EDIT - Just a small mentioning that the model scout and photographer working with me to make the cosplay photoshoots happen goes under the name Radim Klímek, if anyone was curious!)

See you again next week, and thanks for enduring this tough time with me!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Wolf Protagonist

Tuesday update, here we are!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Finally being able to confront the workers doing all the drillings, I learned they'll at long last be done by the end of March, or any day before that.

So, it sounds like I'm soon allowed to get some long needed sleep and start the healing process, it's been a very rough time and I feel both awful and really depressed about not being able to work on the game...not to mention how infuriating it has been to hold back the release of episode 1 when I'm so close to finishing it.

But to not make this delay a waste of time and to apologize for being unable to work recently due to all of this, I've decided to add a "secret" milestone for my Patreon, not listed and not tied to a specific sum - Adding Bad Ends to the game.

There might be more, but as of right now, Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Episode 1 will include at least three different ones, and if the illustrations for all scenes in Beastman Mode are finished before the release of episode 1, that feature will be included as well!

On the subject of Beastman Mode, here is a preview of the wolf option for the protagonist!

(EDIT - I forgot to mention the latest beta was released yesterday!)

See you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Voice of Laquadia

Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Drillings still going on, making it...hmm, 8 weeks in a row, I think?
That single appartment they've been going at for two weeks now must look like a swiss cheese, I can't even phantom what requires so much drilling, it's like if they're replacing replacements for the replaced replacements they had to replace!

So mentally I'm still out of it in something best described as an art/writer's block.
But of course, I've still done some work over the week, mostly focusing on arranging lines for the remaining characters and sending them out to be recorded, I'm actually rather surprised how much it turned out to be!

To put it in perspective, LoQOII had in total around 250 recorded lines in the entire game combined, LoQO: Origin - Episode 1 alone seems to end up with around 300 voiced lines, so...yeah.

And following the theme of voices, I'm presenting Laquadia's voice with a line from the game!
Enjoy and listen to the sample by downloading it from right here!

Tuesday update, it's like a weekly streak!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This week hasn't really been that great, but it's still better than the previous one.
Just when I thought it was over with a few days of silence, the drillings started again today.
But I've set some "things" in motion, my working conditions should be improved within a week or two, so I can finally get my head back into the game and finish off LoQO: Origin - Episode 1.

While I got a lot less done than I'd like, I've still managed to put some work in the game by adding the animal catching from LoQOII, along with updating conversations with all of Laquadia's voiced lines, so both of those will be available in the next beta, whenever that hits!

Last, but certainly not least, production on the Beastman Mode has also begun and is under way!
So, yeah...I guess I'll see you again next week! :D

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Tuesday update, just as suspected!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So, this has been a rather unbalanced week.

The construction work I've been whining about in the past is still going on, which makes it six weeks in a row I've been unable to sleep properly, even with ear-protections for the noise...and six weeks of no sleep, overdosing on coffee with up to 4-5 cups a day to just stay awake, and working on my game seven days a week...has probably not by a lot of surprise taken a toll on my health and made me completely exhausted, to the point I have trouble writing and remembering words.

Still, I feel better today than I did last Friday, so I'm pretty positive I'll feel healthy enough to go back to development soon, maybe I should allow myself to take weekends off from now on. x3

But not all is doom and gloom! I still got to add some stuff to the game before exhaustion kicked in and I've also been doing some indirect work related to the game in the meantime.
I can also announce the artist for the "beastman edition" of the game will be a familiar face for anyone who played the previous two games.

The artist who did all the scenes for LoQO and the Western Edition for LoQOII will be back, and beastman edition will also offer players to select between a horseman, a bullman and a wolfman once it's added! More species might be added down the road, but for now, those three will do!

Though it'll not be added until a later beta, or for people without access, until episode 2.

I think that'll summon up this week, hopefully I'll have far more cheerful information next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Tuesday update, right on the date!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So this is going to be a very light update since basically the only thing I've been working on this past week with the game is the story, and that can't really be described in great detail without spoiling anything... x3

But the last full scene for episode 1 has been added, and I took time on that so people can get a hint on how long these things tend to take, since it's easy to guess...all in all, that one was three days of work, 14 hours in total.

Pretty much only around three "cutscenes" remain for the game, along with two mini-scenes, then I'll devote the remaining time on adding additional content before the release, such as sidequests!

Sadly, that's all for this week!

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Val'Toras

Tuesday update, right on schedule!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So it looks like the drillings have finally stopped, since I haven't heard any of that for the past two days...yay! Like, really yay!
Along with that, beta v0.07 was released over the weekend with production going along smoothly, the release of LoQO: Origin - Episode 1 may be within reach for February/March, taking into account the two weeks without sleep I had to endure.

Also introducing a new baddie is one of the seven warlords who rule parts of the Land of Savages, and one who'll show up in LoQO: Origin - Episode 1.
He is the leader of the Val'Toras species, they're basically the LoQO universe's answer to bullmen, like Ra'Tiki and the Neifu Tribe are to catgirls.
The Val'Toras consider themselves being a pure breed species while minotaurs are viewed as the lesser "branch" with too much outside breeding watering down the generations.

Without spoiling too much, I can at least say his loyality lies with Osira...dum-dum-duuuum!
Other than that, all voiced lines for Laquadia has been recorded with the other characters soon to follow as well.

Aaaand that'll be all for this week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Tuesday update, yes, it really is one of those again!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

Oih, tired developer is very tired...
I really wish they would be more considered about the residents in the appartment and do all the incredibly loud drillings the four hours after 12AM, rather than the four hours before it...
The ear protectors I bought does help make the noise more manageable, even if that makes me sleep bad for other reasons, but nothing four cups of coffee stacked in a row doesn't fix.

So yeah, even in zombie mode, I feel rather confident the next beta will be released this weekend.
It'll add more story, more tradings cards, more unlockable illustrations, one new mini-scene, one mini-game for Gabrielle, add Ra'Tiki to your party/camp AND make Master Hen'Tai show up!
Oh, and it'll also add a couple of new areas to previously seen locations as well!

Aaaand that'll be all for this week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Osira

Tuesday update, one week after the other!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

In the last poll, it was asked...no wait, there was no poll this time! How about that!

If nothing else, the weekly polls will make a return once the first episode of LoQO: Origin is released, hopefully next month, when a fresh new batch of poll ideas will be possible.

But in the meantime, why not have a look and enjoy Osira's battlepose?

She is the evil sister of Queen Opala, and will return with a new, strong allied on her side in search for power and with the intention to settle a thing, haunting her from the past...

So, what is new for this week?
Not really that much, they're doing very loud appartment repairs which have left me with basically no sleep for the last five days, with the exception of the weekend, and it would be really unwise to do game work that requires absolute concentration when you're a train-wreck.

But I've still done "something", of course! Like changing how text shows up during the scenes, adding more trading cards, along with a few minor tweaks like making the toggle button for Sprinting Mode easier and more accurate.

I also believe the next beta version will hit during the weekend, next week.
Aiming for this one would be a little too optimistic, since I don't know if I'll get to sleep.

And that'll be all for this week!

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Tuesday update, first one for the new year!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

In the last poll, it was asked what kind of "beastman" the protagonist should be, if such a feature would ever be included in LoQO: Origin, with 1853 votes gathered!

Wolf
Won by 37%, being 704 of the votes.
Horse
Second, 36% with 681 of the votes.
Bull
Second, 13% with 248 of the votes.
Other
Second, 6% with 124 of the votes.
Lizard

Last with 5%, being 96 of the votes.

It was pretty close with the two top voted, but wolfman was the preferred winner!

So what is new for this week?
Well, I've been working a lot on the story lately, to the point where the end of Episode 1 is nearly within reach, along with Ra'Tiki being introducted and Master Hen'Tai making a come-back!

I'm also beginning to send out lines for recording this month, and all illustrations for Western Edition scenes has been completed as well with Eastern Edition not far behind!
So the next few upcoming weeks will probably be very light on updates, as I'm pretty much only adding finishing touches to content and the story for the episode.

And that's all for now, sorry for the short update!
(Feel free to suggest poll ideas, I'm absolutely burned out myself. xD)
