Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Voice of Gabrielle

You guessed it, Tuesday update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

So it seems like I have some good news to share!
While I'm currently still a sleepless wreck, I've learned the construction workers will be all done before vacations begin in July, which means they won't be back in August.
In short, only one more month of hell left before it's finally all over!

However, I don't really have much to share this week.
Beastman Mode is still being worked on and coming along smoothly, and I have been looking around for potentionally getting someone to compose original music for the game.
There are a lot of talents out there, but getting in touch with them is a different story. x3

This time I'll also be sharing a voiced line with Gabrielle, and despite her first appearing in LoQOII, this is the first time you get to hear her voice!
Enjoy and listen to the sample by downloading it from right here!

So I guess this is all for now, see you next week!

  1. Keep up the good work and do you plan to take a long break after finishing origins ep1 or are you jumping straight to ep2 development?

    1. I'm going to jump straight into episode 2 as soon as the first one is completed, I'm really burning to get back to work! :3

    2. cool, with nearly all of your patreon milestones reached do you intend to add any more if time permits?

    3. Its possible I'll add one for including originally composed music for the game, but I'll need to find a composer first before I can make such a goal. ;)

  2. Just curious, how big is episode 1 going to be compared to the full game?
Will it be just 33% or so?

    1. Its a good question, the first episode lays out a lot of the ground work that takes time...but in terms of pure exploration size, episode 1 will likely be the smallest.
Storywise, I can't really say until I'm nearly done with the whole game. x3

    2. Does that mean that the second and third episode will come faster?

    3. More content in less time...can't argue with logic. ;D
But nah, each episode will take roughly the same time, each individual map still needs to be created and scenes still need to be written and drawn. ^^

    4. I was thinking more in the lines that if the groundwork is done, the next episodes would be done faster. Buy yeah...
      Can't wait. :3

  3. I can see it now or rather i can hear it now legend of queen opala origin sound done by Nickelback every time a sex scene plays you hear the lyrics " You're so much cooler when you never pull it out cause you look so much cuter with something in your mouth" or, would be terrible but incredibly funny legend of queen opala origin sound done by ice jj fish, and you're welcome in advance >:)

  4. I have been dying to know what Gabrielle would sound like for months now!

    1. It is so weird how Gabrielle sounds almost EXACTLY how I thought she would. I thought it would sound a little closer to the voice of Masquerade Minus the Crazy and enthusiasm using valley girl like speech. Gabrielle basically sounds like we through an average teenage girl into the LoQO world, and I love it.

    2. In fact the more I remember her lines in LoQO origins the more it seems to fit perfectly! Though I hope there is a way to clean up the audio more because it sounds like there is more of an echo than there should be.

    3. Either I'm just not picking it up, or you are ultra-sensitive, but I don't really hear this echo you mentioned. D:

However, I'm glad to hear she sounds like you imagined her!

    4. It might have been my audio, or I was just too freaking excited XD I was really waiting to hear what Gabrielle would sound like

  5. Just wondering... has the consideration of having a female main character ever been a thing?

    1. I believe Gabe said at one point that she thought about making Teen Farah the protagonist of Origin but people didn't like it.

I do hope we get one for future games she might make though.

    2. I for one would love to see a Yuri LoQO game. Although Futa would be even more preferable, but hey, gotta stick with what the people like sometimes. If I had any of Gabe's talent in RPGMaker XP and resources, that is to say her contacts of artists, I would definitely make a gaiden game of said Futa protag, with expressed permission of course.

    3. Maybe do a female mode like Gabe is doing with beast man. Or make it so that we can switch between male and female via magic. All I know is for me personally, I would prefer to play as guy if I was forced to choose.

    4. I just hope if she ever does one game like that, the female is the dominant one. Or atleast like Farah. We have way too many games with female protagonists where the female starts as this innocent young girl and gets raped throughout the entire game by ugly as hell old men.

Ofc the occasional game over "rape" by big hung monsters would be good too. I put quotation marks because she would actually like it though :D but still it would lead to a game over.

    5. @Sorarocks/Omegalock: Yes, that was the idea was thinking of when I asked. The actual game with a female protagonist, rather than playing as one of those that are made to be helpless.

Much like the beastman mode she's doing now. I know that means even more artwork and such, but it'd be pretty cool to add that extra point of replayability. And, as @Z mentioned, even a futa option would be interesting to receive as well.

    6. I think in this case it would be more than just artwork. The story would probably have to be tweaked quite a lot. I don't think every character is a lesbian.

  6. Yeah, that's a voice I would pair with Gabriele. For sure.

  7. How about some Opala and Farah voice samples?

  8. So Gabe, how many custom or edited sprites have you used in Origins so far, as compared to Loqo 1 or 2? Will we see more sprite action like Osira in the dungeon (or an ending to a specific side quest in Origins)?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh I'd very much like to see more sprite action. Maybe we can get mini scenes with the party members like the three scenes we would get with Farah or Opala in episode 1 if we made them a bride or slave. That might be asking for much, though. Maybe Gabe could set up sprite actions as a milestone goal?

      Delete
    2. Would be cool. I wonder if sprite action scenes would be a better alternative to mini scenes in general anyway. Of course, that depends on if Gabe had the time, assuming she's made the sprites and all, and they're easy to implement.

    4. There's some sprite action in a quest in the very beginning of LOQOO if you choose so but i will have to say no to the sprite sex at best there a little : huh that's cool, at worst there an undetailed blob of pixels bumping into each other, so ya i say time is better spent on something more productive like mini sex scenes or the mini games.

      Delete
    5. Every main character in Origin is specifically designed and created for the game, so yeah, it'll have a lot more custom made sprites...but as for sex sprites, that will be kept to a minimum.

      Delete
    6. Fair enough on the sex point. As for the customization; will characters that used generic sprites (Kai/Jake, the various party members) recieve any kind of visual redesign if they made a cameo in Origins? I ask because, technically, one version of Kai is already in the game. In the same sidequest i referenced earlier.

      Delete
    7. There is a chance of that, though I'll probably change that version of Kai to another redhead soon. x3
