Sorry everyone, just a boring information dump today... ;P
This week I've finally begun work on Castle Warrengard and it's coming along nicely!
For those out of the loop or simply forgot what it was, Castle Warrengard will eventually become your upgradeable base of operations in LoQO:O, just like the mansion in LoQO or Greenfield Lands in LoQOII.

But of course, the natural evolution of things means I'll take it a step further.
You can expect pretty much all features from LoQOII to carry over, such as being able to have livestock and of course upgrade various features of the castle to turn it from a rundown, bandit infested dump into a grand fortress that can surpass the Imperial Castle itself in Colussia.
How things will change for this game though, is that you'll be able to start purchasing shops across the world once you've gained Castle Warrengard, and each shop you buy will give you additional materials for your "Total Stockpile" that affects what upgrades you have the resources to afford and in turn what inventory your own shops will have within the castle.

For example, buying blacksmiths will give you various crafting items like iron, steel etc. while buying clothing stores provides you with cloth, cotton etc and tool stores might give wood etc.
I haven't decided all the details yet, but that is an overall, rough idea of what I have in mind.

I have a few more features planned for Castle Warrengard, but that is something I'll have to keep a secret for now since I'm not yet sure if it's possible for me to figure out a good system for it...
But if I do, I think it'll be kinda cool to have! :D

And with that, I'll see you again next week!

  1. You should go the whole Skyrim Hearthfire route and have us build the Castle wall by wall.

Combine 10 iron and 20 wood: You have built Farahs Sex Cradle, add 15 leather for horse harness. :-P

Actually that would be useful for getting rid of excess material and give a good reason to farm a wide variety of monsters across the map.

    1. I don't really know how I would be able to make that possible without making a SHITLOAD of different maps, each for each tiny variation. x3

    3. Don't need a whole new game for that, just someone really devoted to make a superb mod for an exisiting Elder Scrolls game. ;)

  3. One upgradable castle coming right up as they say!
Now lets hope there's no vampires with the names of their fathers spelled backwards sneaking in at night.
I heard it's a common occurrence white castle owners.

    1. ...Now I'm kinda sad the game will have an original soundtrack, because that means no Castlevania music playing at Castle Warrengard. x3

    2. Ill turn off the music when in Castle Warrengard one or two times and put some Castlevania music in the background just for that!
And now im just imagining the dialog between the pc and Alucard if that did happened.
At the side of the bed Alucard wakes up Devon.
-Excuse me i seem to be a little bit lost.
-Aaaa, who, how did you get in here?!
      -How did you?
-The front do..........fuck, i knew i forgot something!

  5. Its nice to see the "home build" option gets some love, in the end its a feature since the first game and constantly worked and expanded on.I'm very happy to see that this time its an actual castle, dont get me wrong..i loved the mansion but always felt like the large space was kinda wasted with a "small" main building , some additional buildings and the most beeing taken by the fields with the cattle. Now i can just hope for the possibility to snu snu ;) the girls in a repeatable way in the castle master bedroom ^__^

p.s. cant believe how long its been since the first LOQO game...good olde times
