First update of 2017, the year episode 2 of LoQO: Origin will be released for certain!

Let's kick off the new year with introducing a character I've been talking about a few times before, Festival Island's new owner and mascot.
Puta Bananas! She single-handedly breathed new life into the island and is quite famous for her "Banana Split" where she shows how tight she can be by peeling a banana by simply inserting one into her pu...well, I think you get the meaning. *Wink Wink*

Although, she can also be pretty bitchy and rude in person...maybe she isn't doing the whole mascot gig out of pride, but rather to just piss off her daddy or something, whoever that is. ;P

But game development has been going smoothly as well, Castle Warrengard arc is temporarily paused at the moment to make time for adding the last part of the map for episode 2 and polishing up on the scenarios leading up to and concluding those four new scenes I mentioned in the last update, one even being a bit of a repeatable side-quest.

I'll see you again next Tuesday as clockwork!

    1. And Sombra is a total rip-off of SFV's Laura...which was the original inspiration for Puta's hair too. xD

    2. Who is Sombra? (._. )?

I only know King Sombra from My Little Pony: FIM and somehow I doubt he was meant by that statement.

    3. Sombra is from Overwatch. ;)

    4. Ah, that weird new game where people run around and shoot each other, right?

      Thanks for telling. (^-^)d

    5. Can somebody tell me if Overwatch is a single player game that you can play online with lots of people or if it's an MMO? I asked so many people and as popular as the game is nobody can seem to give me an answer. Cause if it's a single player game you can play offline I would totally buy it but I can't play mmo

    6. Overwatch doesn't have local splitscreen and I don't think it can be played offline...however, you can play matches with just bots on both teams.

    7. Problem is internet connection. Where I live we can't get decent internet speeds unless we pay through the teeth and even that is not certain. We are looking into getting better internet but it's a long shot at this point(or any point for the next 2 to 4 years) which means no online Co-op or MMO cause huge disadvantage when playing on a 60 KB/s internet connection -_-

    8. Still on dial-up? I'll never forget the agony of that...

  2. I was kinda hoping the "Banana" was a reference to the fact the she had a dick. I'd love for their to be a dickgirl, or maybe one of Naacias dreams could have a dickgirl fantasy option.

  3. I can see it now, Opala arrives on Festival Island and goes
"O no the fruit baskets started growing legs"!And hey at least her sucking here is a positive compared to Overwatch but hey at least she's good in Street fighter.
And nice to hear that things are coming together for the Ep.2 release!

    1. Opala might be shocked to see someone wearing a Royal Fruit Basket on their head. x3

    2. And that's how Opala discovered electricity for the LOQO world!

  4. So about the release date... when exactly will it be out? By that I don't necessarily mean a release date, but rather how far the progress on episode 2 as a whole is, since the progress is kind of dependant on how much work you get done by the day, so yeah no rushing from my part...
About the cast you're presenting: it's kind of nice how much more diverse new characters are released in this game in comparison to the first two.
So yeah keep the good work up :)

    1. I can't say a solid date because that would likely introduce delays...people like to blame me for working more slowly now when I earn a monthly income, but I just don't want to rush when I don't have to.

      January Release - Fairly unlikely.
February Release - Possible, but unsure.
March Release - Most comfortable release from a development standpoint with no need to rush or cut content.

    2. I'd be happy with April tbh. This game much like the last 2 LoQO games is completely worth the wait.
Not to mention the fact you still answer questions like this. Most Devs I have seen ignore these questions after a while or delete them or make rules about not posting them. THAT is dedication.

    3. Well that is good. I have been kind of rushing the walkthrough of all the new content. I just hope not much changes from 1.10 to release in terms of added items to early areas. Wanted it to be released on time of course :)

    4. New content between 1.10 and final version in earlier areas will likely be kept at minimum. :)

  5. I...so many jokes with bananas.. , "She might be able to peel a banana with the work between her legs, but I wonder if she can handle a plantain (big vegetable banana)." ... I wonder if she can do the fruit basket challenge. Also can she fit that pineapple on her hat?

  6. My first thought was: She must have been inspired by Josephine Baker! In case someone does not know her, a 1 minute reminder:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nax2zsgaq2A

Coincidence, the image carried on the other sources over time or directly inspired by her? I'd really like to know.

And has anyone but me here good memories of the 1920s?

  7. Is there going to be a need to restart the game from scratch, or is it gonna be possible to port saves from the other versions? cuz for me its been not possible at all, i had to start new game every update, really weird

    1. As long as you don't save in a cave or in town porting saves should be no issue. When you get a new Beta move the saves and the rewards file out of the folder to somewhere safe then delete the folder and extract the new Beta and put the saves and reward file where they normally go.

    2. so if i am on the world map, there is no problem?

    3. I may restruct the worldmap so it's easier to run on less powerful computers, but if that happens, I'll be sure to put up a big warning first!

  8. I like her hair so I prefer her to be hatless, my last few years of anime have caused me to be into girls with unnatural hair colors.

  9. So did a bit of digging and decrypting in your game and I found somthing that fills me with joy and curiosity. In LOQO 2, there were around 70-80 unique locations with 998 maps in total. In LOQO Origins, there are around 40-45 different unique locations and 901 different maps in them. First is my joy at knowing that chapter 2 isn't even done ye so there will be much more to come. Second, a question, how many locations, like towns and islands and explorable locations, will there be in LOQO:O or is that still up in the air? Also, will there be three or four chapters of origins, or will you do like earlier games and release those side stories and more maps and content in a golden additon? Good job so far and I cant wait for more.

    1. One more thing, what I meant by unique locations was places that when you visit the name appears on screen. Like the capitol city or the grand bridge

    2. I expect it will probably be the usual 3 episodes and a gold edition(I mean why mess with a working system right?) No idea for the rest though.

      Delete
    3. Not sure where you got those numbers, LoQO Origin has "only" +300 maps so far. x3
But yeah, Origin will likely end up being three, or maybe even four episodes, due to being MUCH bigger in scoop than previous entries in the series. :)

  13. Will the player be able to marry and/or enslave the girls after the adventure?
Will the scenes associated with that be fade to black?

    1. I am building this game with a harem ending in mind, so yes, marry/enslave all girls should be possible eventually. >3

  14. I really hope this girl give us 3-4 scenes, because I really loved her latina looking XD
Now more seriously, you comment up there makes me think, have you considered, at some point, scenes with the girls cosplaying as other characters like Banana as Laura/Sombra, Opala as Menace, and so?

    1. Hmm, not really...but it's certainly not impossible either, just gotta be careful with those sue-happy companies. xD
