Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Illumi

Thuesday update!

In the last poll, I asked how many of you had donated/pledged to get beta access for Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Episode 1, with 1020 votes gathered this time around!

No
Won by 78%, being 802 of the votes.
Yes
Lost by 21%, being 218 of the votes.

...If you can really call it a win/loss this time, but either way, that's still a lot of people I can win over if I do good and hopefully entice to help crowdfund the two later episodes. :D

And this week I'm sharing the battlepose for Illumi with her final costume design as she'll appear in the game, for those who've forgot or missed out on when I introduced her, Illumi will act as guidance and a fortune teller to keep you updated on where you need to go next in the story, you'll also be helping her collect "Dimensional Shards" across the world for her to close down distorted rifts in time and space...and maybe get a little something in return for your trouble. >:3

So over the past week, I've worked on finalizing the Art Gallery and made quite a few changes that I think will make it easier to navigate, such as letting the top option in the Art Gallery menu take you directly into the gallery for your unlocked art without any sub-options, but also adding Trading Cards as its own option through the main page.

Trading Cards has also been redone for this game, so their thumbnail and gallery layout will be different than before, giving more of an impression that you are actually collecting Trading Cards, with name and card # now being displayed both in the gallery thumbnail and during the pop-up when you unlock a new one!

I'm still a little unsure when the next beta might become available since there is a ton of work being done beneath the hood, so to speak, but I'm working hard every day to make it happen soon!

That's all for this week!

  1. Whoa she is... Whoa! Where does she stand compared to Farah and Laquadia?

    1. Hehe, breast-size wise...? She is larger than teen Farah, but not close to adult Farah and/or Laquadia. x3

  3. I missed your last offbeatr so I'll try harder next time to support you. :)

I've got one question about the gallery/appearance of pictures. The trading cards/paintings/etc. you got in the last two games were always only viewable through the gallery itself, forcing one to hunt for them through the menus and having to remember which one was new...

Would it be possible to get them full screen when one acquires them? I always thought it a bit of a waste of the great art that you had to look at it in the seperate gallery instead when you unlock them instantly since imo it kinda messed with the pacing of the erotica as I didn't check the gallery each time something got unlocked and then often just glanced over the new ones a few times. :/

    1. The point with the thumbnails as they pop-up is to have something to look forward to the next time you visit the Art Gallery, and they way the Art Gallery works this time around, it's super-easy to access it, compared to previous games.

    1. It's possible I will later on, but it's nothing I have planned right now. :3

    2. Please think about this, I will support you no matter what your decision is on Patreon, but I'm sure there would be a decent amount who support you if you do. Maybe do a poll just to see what the conceses would be first?

  8. Great work on the game so far and really love the series. Keep up the great work (this includes the artists too). For now it's just a suggestion.

Unless there is no way to do so or it's too much trouble, would it be possible in the gallery to have page numbers to choose from?

For instance if there is a picture you want to view on page 9, we could click on number '9' to view that page instead of pressing the right arrow button eight times.

    1. It's not something I'm prioritizing right now when there are only 5-10 pages, but maybe in later episodes if the gallery turns out a lot larger. :3

  9. Hey Gabe, one of my favorite aspects of your previous games was the voice acting. Any ideas when they're going to be added into Origin?

    1. No ETA on that yet, but they will come sooner or later. :)

  10. Hey, I missed the donate/pledge for episode 1, but I will definately support for episode 2 ^^

Btw, in comparison to LOQO 1 & 2. How much voice acting will there be in LOQO: Origin?

    1. That is pretty much impossible to say right now since the game still has two more years of production. x3

    2. I would hope that every sex scene gets voiced!

  11. For curiosity, in a comparison between Origin and LoQO2, are you planning to put more regular event CGs, storywise or a bit hidden from the regular campaign? Or it's about the same?

    1. There will be a ton of storywise CG's this time around, but there will also be a few secret and even non-porn ones. :3

    2. In this case, please try to make them obtainable for the entire playthrough. I hate when the game force us to play all again just to get things we lost from the first time. Of course, two art styles make this an exception, but still would be cool if at least we could obtain the lost ones of the first style on new game +.
