I've been a bit burned out lately with getting all of these maps done, but with temporarily changing focus and coloring a bunch of trading cards instead, I feel I'm slowly getting back into it again!
I keep saying I should take Sundays off, but I never do and as such I have to pay the price. x3

I'm afraid I probably won't be able to release a new beta this month, at least not one with all of those new areas included as I've been working on something rather substantial in the game that was originally just meant to be a fun little secret for you to find...but what could it be? Let's just say it'll...hmm, give you a wider perspective of the world, yet is an entirely optional portion.
I think Kristallia will be introduced in this area too. ;)
(Not related to the Frozen Continent though!)

And with that short and slightly disappointed update, I hope to do better next time!

  1. Actually one thing that I've wondered about:
In LOQO I, we could sail from Egypt to Festival Island, but Festival Island in the Narmaria dimension. So do sailors just unknowingly sail through a Shadow Spike to get to Festival Island and then sail back?

It would have made getting Opala and Farah home in LOQO II a lot less dramatic.
Opala: "Oh will I ever see Egypt again?"
Kai: "Jeez, here's 20 gold just take a taxi to the port and take the ferry, DRAMA Queen Opala."

    1. If I recall it, that grounded ship near Castle Resteed in LoQOII explains it a bit.
Going with a vague description, Festival Island is like...a seperate location all of it's own, not neccessarily placed directly in either the realm Origin/LoQOII takes place or on Earth.

In short, it's probably going to end up being a reoccuring location no matter where the games take place. x3

    2. Well I guess tits bring everyone closer together, even if that means tearing the fabric of space.

And Farah is no stranger to tits that tear fabric :-P

    3. I was thinking that Egypt was on the tit of a massive goddess and Namaria was on the other with the ocean being a cosmic dress and Festival island being the jewel on a pendant and the Isl of savages being somewhere near the Pussy or ass and the shadow spikes are just magic sparks rolling off the goddess that transport people randomly between the three.........and here I thought I had no imagination.

  2. Ah Swegabe, be sure to not overwork yourself, okay?

Videogames are a more fit source for life lessons than some people realize...

Hm... I'm fondly remembering some hotheaded hero saying something abour rather humping lava than stoping when the reward is worth it though, ever heard of that one? (ツ)

    1. I hope that isn't from any of my games, otherwise I'll sound like a real jackass when I say I don't believe I've heard it before... xD

    2. Indeed it is, from the end of the heroic path of the first game. Plot twist: The reward mentioned is a certain part of the female anatomy. And in particular it's Farah's and Opala's. (ツ)

    4. It's a justifiable reaction.

And with the loqo universe and sparrow physics.....everything in that song is fair game.

    5. Are you referring to the trading card with her and the Evil Mushrooms...? ;P

    6. Nop, i'm referring to the first time she meet the PC. She what's hiding in a tree and fell asleep, or at least that's how i remember it now i'm not so sure was it a bush, was it a bush or a tree that is the question.
catching some shut-eye and all that jazz. :P

    7. Yeah she was both hiding and sleeping I think, and something happened with a twig from the tree and she said something like "if you were a person this would be rape you know!"

      Delete
    8. O ya that to, not gonna lie, a little bit jealous of that twig. :P
And with that interaction i guess you could say that Gabriel was branching out a little bit too much...

  5. Oh man, take a break Gabe. Don't ever want to see you getting tired of loqo. It should be a labor of love not a chore. So you should take a break so you don't get sick of it. Definitely take Sundays off at least. We appreciate what you do and we understand.

......now that that's said and done can you create a bunch of content and make a beta ready for release real quick? ;)

    1. Hah! ;P

Yeah, I'm just in an awkward position where I can't justify taking breaks because it always remind me of the six months of hell I had to endure last year and how little, if any, work I got done during it.
And how some people thought I was faking it...

    2. Oh yeah, I remember that. I was still relatively new to you and loqo back then. Yeah that was.....fun. You can really tell that those guys who thought you were faking had to be newcomers, though. I mean, you already made two games that took years and now a quarter way through the third you decide to "scam us"? Especially when you had recently switched to Patreon and anybody could have cancelled their pledges at any time making the "scam" pretty inefficient. It was a pretty stupid notion. I don't know how many people thought you were faking, but I know people here on the blog had your back.

  6. We all love you're work! And I know how it gets sometimes! I'm playing around with RPG Maker and it can get tedious at times! Anyone who has something bad to say about you will get a visit from the Unlikely Ninja! XD Hang in there Gabriel! We got your back, and everything else! ;3

  7. The work you are doing is of toptier, but do give yourself a day off now and then, and a day off does give new energy to one self so work seems to flow alittle easier.
But sucks that some people saw your downtime period as faking it, you were keeping us in the loop while it was happening, so personaly I just saw as a sucky thing that had to be waited out.

But keep up the good work and dont work yourself, do take time to do other then loqo-stuff :)
