A moment of silence for acer, my old companion...may you rest in pieces.
Yeah, it's dead for sure now, the computer came back to life just long enough for me to get that last beta out before its occasional start-up issues became permanent.
Work on the new laptop I got last month has been going very slow since there is so much to get used to, but some parts are just straight-out flawed I need to immediately fix, such as the tiny screen and absurd keyboard having to be replaced.
Having only one CTRL on the left side while the + and - remain on the right, which in turn requires two hands to input, is a huge issue I'm sure everyone in the know understand.
But I've ordered all the tools I need to fix the issues and they should arrive this week, which is a normal keyboard, an adapter so I can use the same monitor I had before, and some USB slot expansion since the laptop only has two slots by default.
The main issue working with a tiny screen is that the depth perception, or whatever you should call it, is completely effed up, the pixels I work with are just too small and the sense I get for each map just feel off, naturally all of that will be fixed once the package arrive and I can get my old monitor hooked back up again and stop straining my eyes.
In the meantime, all I've really managed to do is getting the Art Gallery updated to include all the new scenes that has been missing from it awhile.
