No competition, Osira is the clear winner for this one!

Let's begin with addressing and getting the Offbeatr situation out of the way.
Currently, I ask of everyone who pledged on the site for the higher tiers to make a copy of their receipt and send them to my mail in exchange for instantly getting your rewards sent right back to you! Or if you can access your Offbeatr profile page where it says you have donated x amount to my project, a screenshot of that should work too! :D
(Only for those who pledged for the $50 reward or higher tiers)

Update: Offbeatr just announced they'll close down this Friday.
Since I have absolutely no way of seeing who donated what, pledgers need to mail me as soon as possible and certainly before Friday the 5th!

How kind of them to give us a three day notice... >.>;

That being said and left behind us, I should be able to release another beta this month on Patreon!
Over this week I've been working on tweaking a few system codes in the game, such as fixing the blacksmithing/forging and how it displayed changed/improved statistics in a flawed way which should no longer be an issue now!
And I'm also changing the currency in the game, from the default/boring "Gold" to "Krown".
It'll help everything feel a bit more original and never confuse money with the crafting resource.
Other than that, more story has been added and maskless Gabrielle has been revealed... ;3

Anyway, I'll see you next week with some graphics to come again with the text!

  1. Maskless Gabrielle?!?! My body is ready!
Well....we technically saw mask less Gabrielle in gnoll's trade but actually seeing it worked into the story will be great! Can't wait to see whether you made it dramatic, funny, romantic, or whatever.

  2. maskless Gabrielle has been revealed you mean there's a scene with her or is it a plot point that i don't know about from the beta?
Well either way it's Gabrielle so yay! :D

    1. Plot point, they need disguises...and how does one disguise herself, who always by default wear a disguise? xD

    2. A understood, shode be an interesting conversation because seriously she's been wearing that mask for so long it's become a non factor, i just thought that's how she puts on her makeup, or at least go easy on the eye shadow.

  3. I'm mixed on the voiced protagonist thing. I guess it's ok if it can be turned off. I'm saying this because in a game where you have quite a few dialogue options to choose from and you've already immersed yourself with the protagonist because he doesn't have a voice it's better if he remains that way. Oh well. It would definitely work on a linear storyline though. (I immerse myself with the story and not the character in that case)

    1. But if the voiced character is optional, would it really hurt to have it included for those who'd like to have the choice? ^^

    2. Nope, not at all. Hence why I said it's ok if it can be turned off. :P

  4. You know the whole maskless Gabrielle just masks me smile, after all she still calls herself by her name, doesn't hide her voice and just has the area around her eyes covered. Like that scene in the Green Lantern, the woman turns to him and says "Hal, I've seen you naked, of course I'd recognize you with your cheekbones covered".

I like the change to the money, even if it's just the name. It at least implies that you can have a 1000 Krown coin made of gold and say a 10 Krown made of copper, rather than just 1 gold coin is worth 1 unit.

As for character voice, I kinda actually want it, but then again that's just because I'd get wet listening to a mans sex noises along with the woman. So then they can have a big moaning orgasm together.

    1. Oh Gabrielle should definitely try to play it off like she's someone else without the mask and the protagonist is like wtf r u doing?

    2. You know, I may change how things play out...so Gabrielle acts like no one recognizes her without the mask, it would certainly fit her character. XD

    3. Yeah that would suit Gabrielle well.

  6. About the male voice, i would prefer if you could turn it off just in case i don't like it :P i'm honestly not super keen on the female voices ether. I just read the text box and when i'm done reading i press next even if the character is talking :P idk why i just feel unconformable when they talk :/

    1. I also wish there was an option to turn off voices, I end up just disabling all of the sound in rpg maker

  7. I don't know what's could be better for Episode II. Seeing Opala or a maskless Gabrielle.

I like the change to the currency name. LoQO is by no means your run of the mill RPG so it just fits right in there. Curious though, what was the inspiration for the "Krown" name?

    1. Originally I came up with a few other currency names, like "Din"...but ended up stealing from Bethesda like they stole from my country. XD
See, the Elder Scroll games has a currency called "Crowns" which is just the English translation of the Swedish currency, Krona (for one) and Kronor (for more).
So I combined those two, and voila, Krowns. ^^

    2. A) Only Elder Scrolls Online uses 'Crowns'. The actual series refers to the currency as 'Septims'.
      B) Sweden isn't the only country that uses Crowns. Estonia, Denmark and Greenland, The Czech Republic, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Norway and its dependencies all use the Crown.
      C) The British had it first. Twice.

So Bethesda really didn't steal anything. The more you know! :D

    3. All that to defend Bethesda, when they didn't even need it....

    4. Hey, now. I left out the part about ESO being a Zenimax joint, without Bethesda even involved.
Cut me a little slack. ;o

    1. Gabrielle was always meant to be very much an exaggerate of my personality, I'm certainly not as naive but I am a very friendly person...I'm the type to stop and help strangers who are lost, but not even asking for help. ^^
