Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

Things are coming along smoothly, I'm in fact currently working on the ending part of the very last cutscene in LoQO: Episode II and it's emotionally draining...for various reasons, with so much going on there and being very heavy on the special effects too! I believe it'll make for a very good ending and mark a new beginning for the following episodes to come after it. :D

But it needs to be mentioned again, even if I finish off the storymode tomorrow, I'll still need the extra time spanning over the first half of March to polish up on everything, finish additional content and allow the CG artists to complete their remaining work!

Sorry for the short update, but only been focusing on story since last tuesday. x3
And with that, I'll see you again the same day as always, next week!

  1. Is it possible to make things in the game happen depending on the time and date? I don't know how difficult it would be but if it's possible, it would be a cool thing to do in the future. It'd be awesome if there were seasonal events in Loqo.

    1. I don't think the game can track real time and dates, but it can probably have in-game seasons...although it's very difficult to pull off and would basically require each individual outdoor map to be remade for each season. x3

    2. Aww oh well. I was hoping it would. It could add more longevity to the game. Say the game releases in December and some guy beats it within the month, they'd have more incentive to come back in February for a Valentine's Day event or something. Maybe rpg maker will get an update to allow that one day. Anyway, good luck with the finishing touches on Episode 2!

    3. You COULD do something like LoZ Oracle of Seasons. Puzzles that restrict movement through a map unless you are in the correct season and give a player an item that controls said seasons. But I think that would take some work. After all it would be adding a whole new mechanic to the game halfway through making it. :/

    1. With the scale of LoQO: Origin and fit everything, it's more than likely going to be four episodes.

  8. You know what Gabe? I've been a patron and had beta access for awhile but it's actually been a few months since I've placed Loqo Origins. I've just started a new playthrough. I forgot how fucking hilarious you made the dialogue in this game. Talking to every NPC is a delight. Keep up the good work.

    2. Ooh a newcomer. Here's what to expect. You're play through Loqo 1. It'll be cool. Then you'll play Loqo 2. And it will be awesome. Then you'll play just episodes 1 and 2 of Loqo Origins and it will be fucking amazing. Enjoy :)
