Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update

It seems the closer we get to the release date of LoQO: Origin - Episode II, the more rushed and empty these weekly updates might feel as I'm focusing all my attention to finishing and polishing as much as I can within the game...sorry about that! x3

Since last tuesday, I've finished off the storymode for episode II and given it a far more "definite" conclusion to that specific part than what episode I did with it, but at the same time, leaving it on a cliffhanger of sorts and introducing a character not even revealed in these weekly updates yet!

I've also finished adding all 34 properties you can buy once acquiring Castle Warrengard, which opens up trading routes and gives you access to more material, which in turn is needed to make your castle grow, upgrade, add sections and hire workers.
I've also been adding in additional story and cutscenes that doesn't exactly follow the main path, but fills in a few gaps and gives the players who like to explore a few more things to experience.
I mean, Osira deserves a little more screen time, right...? *Wink*

  2. Gabey, what about Daily Fap magazine? Are you going to reintroduce it in the game in the near future?

    Btw, does every known female character in LoQO series really love having sex?

    1. I don't see a reason for the Daily Fap to return since trading cards involves every female character now. :)

      And there are a few characters who aren't sex crazy, like Beatrix and Zweibelle.

    2. Ah, what a shame. If I'm not mistaken, I saw the Daily Fap button in the LoQO gallery some time ago, so I hoped the magazine would come back sooner or later. It was special in its own way offering the players not only pictures but also some good story behind them.

      Beatrix? I'm a little surprised. What about Black Dame? :-)

    3. Poor Sparrow have enough work as it is, cranking out CG Scenes for Western Edition of the game AND doing 10 trading cards for each individual girl. x3

    4. Sparrow is a beast. He has already made as much great illustrations as almost no any other artist does in their entire life. It's so great that he works for you.

      I just wish there were more Sparrows in the future. :-D

      Well, as for Black Dame, I have mixed feelings. One part of me wanted her to be one of those sex crazy girls. :-)

  3. Playing through the recent beta and hearing about the stuff you'll add when episode 2 is done has me so hyped!

    But now that I'm playing the beta again after so long I do have a some questions. And I'm probably gonna make this post long because it. If by any chance my questions lead into spoilers or you just don't want to reveal the answer yet that's cool. And if I ask questions that should already have been answered in the game and I just haven't played enough I apologize.

    First off, what kinda outfits will Devon be able to get. Cause the fugitive outfit you gave us a while back is cool, but having his face covered all the time is a little weird and personally I miss the crusader outfit.

    I asked this a WHILE back but would it be possible to reset the side quests and mini games when we use the orb of restoration. I'm not interested in exploiting the rewards from them or anything. But I find them to be really fun and it sucks to have to start a brand new game just to see them again.

    I notice throughout the game there are a lot of NPCs like the prostitutes in collusion, lustful noble woman in brightstone and the mother in Port Ronod. It feels like a shame that nothing ever happens with them. Making a mini scene for all of these would be a lot so I don't think you should go that far, but maybe a dialogue only scene? Or a scene where it fades to black and the dialogue afterwards suggests that something happened? I feel like the game would be more immersive if there were stuff like that. Similar to how in Loqo 1 after the end of the game when you can marry or enslave Farah, Opala, or Osira and you could always go back to them and have a quick audio scene.

    I expect the answer to this will be no, but I'll ask anyway. When we change the outfit of our party members, will that affect any of the characters scenes they have? On the one hand, if you have Farah in her blue belly dancer outfit but when you go into a scene, she' wearing the original outfit that will look weird. But on the other hand it feels unreasonable to ask all the artists to make variations of all their scenes to match the outfits.

    And lastly, that side quest where you go on that pilgrimage and have to visit all the altars for that perverted religious group. They said if you finish that, then at the end one of the goddesses will come down and she'll bang with you and have a bunch of kids. Now if you actually have that happening, would you consider having the MC have a bunch of kids? Like at end of the quest, if there is a scene with the goddess, afterwards will there be a bunch of child sprites running around? Cause that would be cool.

    3. It's alright, I know I'm asking a lot here and some of it could be spoilerish plus you're busy finishing episode 2. And my questions will more or less be answered in time anyways as the game is completed.

  4. "empty these weekly updates" Well from a certain point of view that doesn't sound too bad and certainly something the LOQO girls are proficient in! :P
    Anyway here's to cheering you on for that episode 2 release to be highly polished and up to your expectations!

    It seems very possible considering how there already are a few out there.

    1. I usually try to base my comment off the update content or just come up with a random question or suggestion for the game. But it can be tough some weeks. If you're out of ideas, just default to "Great work Gabe" :)

  7. Sounds good.
    But i hope there will be more to collect and expand for our home in ep 3 AND 4 ( c'mon gabe, just announce it :D ) and not everything available will be thrown at us in ep 2.
