This will likely be a short one for the road!
Another week has passed and I sadly don't have much results to show for it, that doesn't mean I haven't worked though, but I've spent all this time compiling sentances to be recorded.
It's surprisingly slow work, that's mostly because I have to write down a scene/emotion for each individual line to let the VA's know what they're voicing...otherwise, we'd just end up with Tidus laugh quality. *Wink* For example, Beatrix alone has ended up with over 60 voiced lines this week, and she doesn't have all that much screentime yet!

Also, all of teen Farah's outfits/embarrassed mode battleposes in the new style are done, so she is good to go! Althought I will likely not replace her old battleposes until all characters are done, so the different styles doesn't clash in your party. :3
And Laquadia's figurine is also finally up for purchase as well at the webshop!

So with that, I'll see you again next week!

  1. Cannot wait to play with the new system! But just curious, if the main poses are done but not all the variations are done, will you just implement what you have? For example, Gabrielle's variation isn't done so she only has her main and nude variation, but Teen Farah is complete, will you implement all of Farah's and wait for the next beta to do the rest?

    1. They are done in batches, so there won't be a time where only "some" are done. ;)

    2. Well I hope enough get done in time for the next. Beta hopefully.

By the way, don't know if you answered this, but will the embarrassment system apply to female boss fights too? Will Masquerade get more naked as the battle progresses?

      Delete
    3. More importantly... Will Naz'Raala get more naked as the battle progresses?

It's like, her usual naked battlepose is her normal state. Then there goes a Super Naked. And after that - something what is known as a Super Naked that has ascended past a Super Naked (Or you can just call this a Super Naked 2). And what comes after this... is to go... even further beyond!

    4. ......ok I can't help but like the DBZ reference. But I'm wondering the same thing too. Maybe her normal pose is a stance where you can't really see her private parts, then as the. Ate progresses she gets into a more aggressive stance which leaves her body exposed

  2. The Tidus laugh was actually horrible on purpose and it was planned by Japanese Director of the game. But hope to hear those VA sometime soon.

    2. Yes indeed it is:

I wrote more about how it turned out like that below. Bottom line is probably that the scene is not horrible acted, but rather horrible written and directed.

    3. Yep it's as cringe worthy, honestly to a westerner the Japanese laugh is even more cringe worthy with how his laugh isn't even HA-HA-HA but somehow a lot different, making it seem like such a WTH moment when you watch it.

    3. That's an idea.
Maybe they should start selling exclusive bugs as DLC?
"Buy this super buggy Ryder's laugh only for $4.99 as an alternative for his usual emotions!"
      Or something like this.

    4. Why are you guys mixing up EA with SE? Tidus is a FF game character which is Square-Enix not EA. As much as I am not a fan of the Ryder character or the whiny Tidus character(love both games though lol) they really should not mix.

    5. @Joe Johnson
I believe, we all know that Tidus is a Final Fantasy character which has nothing to do with Electronic Arts.
It's just a mere joke that EA games sometimes have very odd bugs or other different issues that instantly become well-known due to high popularity of the games.

    3. I bet there is probably some magic in the Loqo world to make yourself or someone a virgin again

    4. I don't think Farah even knows what virginity is.

    5. What about this case:
In the InnYouChu series, there's a pair of twins that got cursed with super-healing powers by a powerful demon. That might sound more like a blessing than a curse till you realize it also means their hymen will completely heal itself each time it's broken, meaning they have the pleasure of being deflowered over and over again.

So is that regaining virginity, just painful but still meaning they ain't virgins or something in between?

      Delete
    6. Lol Jaht, reminds me of something I said to my friend that loves Wolverine, and just saw Logan, I asked "if the girl has the same heal powers does that mean her girl part can grow back?" I wasn't happy :-P

      Delete
    7. @Cian Browne: Super healing powers are actually quite a good source for horrer. After all only the healing speed is increased, so what if you get like, a blade jamed right through a joint but your body heals itself with the blade still in there? You could end up a seriously deformed abonimation if you think about it. Heck, white mages could be absolute torture geniuses if you think about their ability to keep people alive through a lot of stuff that should normaly kill somebody.

    8. I feel like this took a dark turn...

    9. There is a hentai movie(can't remember what it is)in which a bad guy makes a Princess younger and heals her instantly of injury performed in sex which as a side effect also repairs her Hymen making her effectively a virgin once more. But aside from that I haven't seen anything else regarding such things.

      Delete
    10. Seriously how did this conversation start going this way?

      Delete
    11. @Joe Johnson: I don't recall seing that one. With princesses and bad guys not exactly being rare sights in dark fantasy H-OVAs, I wouldn't know hot to find it either, sorry. (._. )

@Omegalock: well, because the question if one can regain one's virginity came up, because the original poster claimed virgins make better "waifus". Which I frankly don't get (then again, I don't get the whole "waifu" thing but nevermind), wouldn't a sexually experienced female make a better wife, or is that just me? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      Delete
    12. By "being virgin" I meant "not having any sexual experience" - I didn't mean "having your hymen untouched". It's like, a girl can't be called completely virgin if she ever had anal sex, though she still remains technically a virgin.

And I personally think that it would be so much better if girls didn't born with hymen at all. I believe, losing it can be quite painful, and moreover, I personally consider it a convenient tool for control over lots of women. In terms of social fairness, males don't have any physical indicator of being virgin, so why should females do?

      Delete
    13. @jaht waifus are the ideal, love of our lives. We don't want them to be fucked by just anyone. Sexual knowledge can be learned with us

      Delete
    14. @Neferis: Kay, now I know your viewpoint.
Still about your second paragraph: While your point of view seems pretty feministic, it also looks like your not fully informed how a hymen operates. This calls for some hymen facts!

      1. Each female is born with a different hymen. Size and number of openings vary greatly. This means some females have hymens so small they're practically not there and on the other extreme, in rare cases a female's hymen block of the vagina completely. That actually requires medical treatment sinse menstruation blood can't properly exit the vagina.

      2. Hymens don't regenerate. That much was obvious before but penetration is not the only thing that can wear away the hymen. Atheltic excersice, masturbation, inserting tampons and other things often lead to the fact that a female hymen is often already gone by the time she has her first experience.

      3. Due to the above it should be obvious by now: Absence of a hymen is no proof for sexual experience. In fact, there is no medical way to actually proof virginity.

So what about the bleeding and pain during de-virginization? While a hymen can contribute to that, it's actually often not the culprit. First time sex is a lot of akward triel-and-error. A poorly lubricated vagina, a too enthusiastic male... There's lots of facters that can cause damage don't there if you're inexperienced and it's actually quite the turn off, I'd say.

      And now you know. (ツ)
      G.I. JOOEEEEEE!!

@Omegalock: Well you just used a plural first pronoun, does that mean you include me in that group? Because that's certainly not the case for me. As written above, virginal sex is often awkward, embarassing and not much fun. I much prefer a female with lots of experience for my ideal love of my life. I'd rather have her teach me then the other way around. Neither would I want her to stay faithful to me. Sharing is caring. (ツ)

      *Looks up*
      I just went full on TL;DR for y'all, didn't I? (._. )

    15. @jaht
Thanks, though I've already known that. :-\
The thing is that what you described over here is well-known only for a small number of people. Unfortunately, others usually think of girls with no hymen as someone who undoubtedly was involved in sexual intercourse before, which may cause a lot of problems. In some cultures and families it even comes to the point of absurdity.
In short, hymen is not needed. That's what I think. (Quite a nice summary, isn't it?)

      P.S.
As for me being feminist - you know, it's being considered quite a creepy word nowadays. I'd rather avoid calling myself this way. :-)

      Delete
    16. @jaht you said you never understood the Waifu thing so I wasn't explaining how people with waifus think. When I said we, I did not mean you.
I understand the appeal of having someone experienced teach you about sex rather than going through an awkward experience with a version. But you must also understand the appeal of being someone's first and last, learning together with someone you love who loves you and no one else......and you don't have to deal with the insecurities of whether your a better lover than you're loved one's other partners and whether your dick is big enough. Basically, when having a Waifu, you want no form of NTR. And even though an open relation or "sharing is caring mentality" is not NTR (in fact it can be a pretty great thing), it can easily lead to those type of feelings depending on the situation.

      Delete
    17. @Neferis: Sorry to have bored you then. (._. )
But yeah, it surely ain't needed, but since it's not a huge factor in picking a mate, it probably won't be phased out by evolution any time soon. ( ; ~ ; )
Though I'm not sure if you're right with the thing that some cultures are that misinformed. Some families, sure, but whole cultures?

And one thing: I consider myself a feminist and have no problem calling it that. For me that means what the word originally meant: Equal legal, social, political and economic rights for both genders. That includes some stuff concerning males for me as well, like for example, I do consider it morally wrong to make fun of a stay-at-home dad who raises the kids and cooks while his wife is the one who stakes out a career.
And as long as someone holds the belief that both genders should have equal rights, they're a feminist in my eyes.

@Omegalock: Thanks for the detailed explaination, that actually makes a lot of sense. But the thing I still don't quite get is more the thing of obsessing over fictional characters like that. I mean, I do get it as a fantasy, but I've actually came accross people who said they were in love with a fictional character without a hint of joking to it. That just seems plain unhealthy to me. I think honest romantic love and affection should be saved for real life, not simulated and wasted on fictional characters. Just like I think rape, mindbreak, guro etc. should be limited to fiction and practised in real life.
That's why I never claimed any character as my "waifu".

      Delete
    18. @jaht I can totally understand being attracted to and loving a fictional character. I'm not saying it's healthy but it makes perfect sense. But I think the majority of people have waifus not as a replacement for real women. Although if these waifus were made real then I doubt we would deny them either.

      Delete
    19. @Omegalock: If those waifus were made real, I don't doubt you would deny them, but I do belive they'd deny you. They'd probably wouldn't have much interest in most of the people that claim them as their "waifus".

      Reality is harsh like that.

      Delete
    20. @jaht why would you say that? That was kind of uncalled for.

      Delete
    21. Because it's what I believe in. I'm a horrible person myself so while I don't pick "waifus" for myself I know nearly every female character I like would only pity me at best and kill me at worst.

I hope you did not take this as a personal insult though. I meant "you" in the plural sense, just as you used "we" before. English is a bit of drag in that it doesn't have a set pluralized second person pronoun. Maybe I should've typed "y'all" instead.

So if I hurt your feelings, that definitely wasn't my intend and I'm sorry. (._. ) ← Sorry me

      Delete
    22. @jaht I think you are just really straight forward so what you say may sometimes come off as offensive. It's all good though.

      Delete
    23. @Omegalock: Your forgiveness is highly appreciated. (^-^)

You can't count on evolution. It takes too much time and often brings unexpected results. What should really be taken into account are achievements of science and technology, i.e. genetic engineering, bioprosthetics, etc.

Yes, whole cultures. But in general, this shit goes from different religions. Sometimes it's not only about virginity - it can go far beyond that. And the worst is that the only victims of that ideology are frequently women. You can search for it in the web or in Wikipedia if you want.

From this point of view about feminists I can say that you're right. However, you shouldn't forget about their radical types and SJW whose intolerance and hatred spoil the image of normal, sensible feminists. Just be careful with calling yourself this way.

      P.S.
If you consider yourself such a horrible person, then why don't you just change? :-)

      Delete
    25. @Neferis:
Well, genetic engineering is a whole different can full of moral dilemas. And well, I assume evolution is to blame for the hymen in some way or another allthough no one has been able to figure out how it happened so far.

I don't subscribe to that religion angle fully either or at least not when it comes to the five big religions. It's not like every single follower of a specific religion has the exact same mindset. Taking Islam as an example you have fundamentalists on the horrible end which stoop to flat out terrorism against random people to get their idiotic interpretation of their religion across and progressive muslims who even push for acceptance of homosexual relationships, wich is one of the few things the texts that form the basis of the religion are absolutely clear about as being a deathly sin. So even if you can convince me the majority of people mind hold that mindset, you won't convince me everyone following that religion does.

I don't. But I'll happily try to remind everyone who thinks all feminists are of the sort you mentioned that there's people like me around as well. (ツ)

Actually, I consider trying to be better than you past one of the fundamental things any human being should strive for (seriously, if I'd see my 16-year old self, I'd kill him!). However I've so far have not improved to the point I'd scratch the "horrible" tag for myself. I sure hope someday I can do that though.

    26. @jaht
Morality is an ever-changing set of rules that can vastly differ from one country to another.
Genetic engineering and some related technologies seem to be the most effective way of improving human body and mind as well as correcting mistakes made by nature. Humanity's made a great technological progress since the day it was born, but humans themselves still remain the same. We keep fighting one another and hating one another for completely stupid reasons, like in the goddamn Middle Ages. And now add to this our inborn frailness and fragility - want it or not, we definitely need to do something about it, and it's better to happen sooner rather than later.

As for religions, I'm not trying to convince that it's everyone - no, of course not. Just many of them.

      Good. So will I. :-)

You can do it within a month if you ever want. After all, it mostly depends on yourself. And good luck with that.

Funny how people still mock it despite it being supposed to sound horribly fake... After all he tries to force himself to laugh in the middle of widespread carnage and tragedy... Yet it still sounds more goofy than heartbreakingly sad.

It doesn't help that Tidus was just to much of a dork for me to relate to...

Hey can you take an estimated guess how much of the female dialogue will be voiced? Like if Beatrix has 60 voiced lines what are her total lines so far? Like, about 300 or so?
