Well, this has been a productive week as hell! And thankfully not a trace of sarcasm in that sentance as I've really been making a lot of progression on the storymode with the time I've had! :D
The Brightstone arc has been left behind and the party is currently on their way for the High Lord Gathering, nearly arriving at the Imperial Manor from where I left off just minutes before writing this.
On the way, you'll be learning a few more things about the characters and what the future holds...but I won't say much more since I don't want to spoil every detail for those with beta access. x3
This week I'll also be sharing the emoticon for Naz'Raala, the mighty and mysterious right-hand woman for the self-proclaimed Baron of Warrengard, a cruel bandit warlord currently living in the castle you'll claim for yourself further on.
More details on her will be revealed next week along with her battlepose, so stay tuned and I'll see ya'll for the Tuesday update to come our way!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results
"Tuesday update is coming..."

The monthly question this time was how you'd feel like having a voiced male protagonist in LoQO: Origin, with around 6600 votes gathered!
(Sorry, but I screwed up the stats and had to recreate them from memory. D;)
I'm all for it
Won by 34%.
Only if it can be turned off
Came second with 25%.
Do not want
Scored third with 25%.
I don't mind
Came in last by 16%.
So overall, it was a pretty even poll!
Now for the game development, the latest beta of LoQO: Origin - Episode II was released just the other day after I had finalized the harbor of Whitehaven.
I've also been making some changes behind the curtains that probably isn't even noticable but it simplified how Explorer titles specifically are displayed in Progression where you can check completion status for each individual location in the game.
With the new system, I can add even more unlockable illustrations and combinations of it at each location, while the old system pretty much restricted me to only use three variations at max.
For example, I could only list three of Ruby Chest, Master'Hentai, Legendary Monster or Lost Illustration at any given time, and having more of the same made the coding very long, clustered and complicated...BUT, with the new system, it'll be a lot easier, smoother and I can add more variations too like having Paintings listed as well and such. :)
On a side note, another Patreon/Crowdfunded H-game has recently been completed.
So if you want to branch out and give it a try, go right ahead and get it here - Overwhored
And like a broken record, I'll see you again next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Update
No shortage of Tuesday updates!

I'm sorry to say this will be one of those times where I don't have too much worthwhile progress to report, other than the next beta becoming available this week! :D
So I've mostly worked on preparing for said beta, finishing a few small story related events and packing Whitehaven with people/content so that area is completely finished and available for exploration when you boot it up the next time.
You'll also be able to progress the story a bit more too, not much, but enough to close the rather lengthy "Brightstone arc" and move onto the next sequence of the game...which of course, is the High Lord Gathering and the introduction of Opala herself!
While it doesn't have anything to do with the next beta, it might be worth mentioning that after the High Lord Gathering part of the game is done, those ten new locations and a new portion of the worldmap I've mentioned before will finally open up...but also the build-your-mansion section of the series as well, which I've already stated will be a 'effing castle this time. ;D
And with that, I'll see you next week!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Black Dame
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon
This isn't a new character per say, since she is in LoQO: Origin - Episode I and has been in it since some of the earliest betas.
But she did had a default, place-holder graphic since I wasn't too sure where to go with the character, but now I've decided and her design has been finalized.
As I mentioned in an earlier blog update, she'll be making an appearance very soon in the story, which could be your first introduction to her or not, depending on if you completed the first available sidequest called "Introduction".
Spoiler - She can give you the Lockpick Set.
In terms of game development, I've spent most of this week working on the port of Whitehaven and making more trading cards.
I've finished nearly seven of them since last week, three being with the helmet wearing Naz'Raala and four with Kristallia the Crystal Fairy!
Aaaand...that's about that! I'll see you as always, next Tuesday! :D

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Kristallia

So Offbeatr has finally died...
But I managed to warn people in time and has spent the majority of last week doing nothing by replying on mails for hours, who knew processing 400+ people across a few days would be so much work!
Well, at least no one can accuse me for not trying to solve things screwed up by the website, I'd like to think I handled things as best as I could, given the situation. :)
But enough bitching, let's instead get straight to the...erm, kitching?
Noble Plains, the region Brightstone is located at, is getting a new location along the western shores named Whitehaven, it'll be a small port connecting the area by sea with Port Ronod.
So that's where I've spent most of my game developing time this week, but also preparing for Black Dame to make another appearance, along with giving her a new look so she fits all the other female characters, as she've been using a random place holder design until now.
And let's end this week on a high note by sharing Kristallia's battlepose, the tiny and mischievous crystal fairy from the Northern Continent you'll be encountering on your journey! :D

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results
Everybody sing along, Tuesday update schlong!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon
The monthly question this time was who you're most looking forward to possibly meet in LoQO: Origin - Episode II, with 2313 votes gathered!
Osira
Won by 40%, being 930 of the votes.
Opala
Second, 23% with 536 of the votes.
Layla
Third, 14% with 343 of the votes.
Kristallia
Fourth, 6% with 152 of the votes.
Mhu'Tiki
Fifth, 6% with 142 of the votes.
Naz'Raala
Sixth,4% with 113 of the votes.
Naluna
Last with 4%, being 97 of the votes.
No competition, Osira is the clear winner for this one!
Let's begin with addressing and getting the Offbeatr situation out of the way.
Currently, I ask of everyone who pledged on the site for the higher tiers to make a copy of their receipt and send them to my mail in exchange for instantly getting your rewards sent right back to you! Or if you can access your Offbeatr profile page where it says you have donated x amount to my project, a screenshot of that should work too! :D
(Only for those who pledged for the $50 reward or higher tiers)
Update: Offbeatr just announced they'll close down this Friday.
Since I have absolutely no way of seeing who donated what, pledgers need to mail me as soon as possible and certainly before Friday the 5th!
How kind of them to give us a three day notice... >.>;
That being said and left behind us, I should be able to release another beta this month on Patreon!
Over this week I've been working on tweaking a few system codes in the game, such as fixing the blacksmithing/forging and how it displayed changed/improved statistics in a flawed way which should no longer be an issue now!
And I'm also changing the currency in the game, from the default/boring "Gold" to "Krown".
It'll help everything feel a bit more original and never confuse money with the crafting resource.
Other than that, more story has been added and maskless Gabrielle has been revealed... ;3
Anyway, I'll see you next week with some graphics to come again with the text!

Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Offbeatr Fail
Liiiiive from not New York, it's Tuesday night update!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon
This week we'll be addressing the issue that is Offbeatr.
All the different pledge rewards including the exclusive in-game items/equipment, Mature Farah Costume and the voiced thank you message from Osira have all been finished since last week with me trying to send them on daily basis ever since...however, Offbeatr is a complete mess and doesn't allow anyone to send messages, and it doesn't let us creators even check our list of pledgers so we can stay in contact and hand out the appropriate rewards to our supporters.
So as of right now, I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to proceed as the rumor has it Offbeatr will soon go under, rather than being fixed.
What I consider the best solution would be to simply offer all my Patreons these same rewards so they can at least be shared, but I fear those who supported me on Offbeatr would feel cheated.
A compromise would be for Offbeatr supporters to consider that Patreon did contributed for the Beastman Mode they wouldn't had the pleasure of experience otherwise, so it'd be a give and take situation.
But again, not everyone might agree with that, so I am in a difficult position.
If you supported me back on Offbeatr, how would this make you feel if I went ahead and did it?
However, next week will be a more cheerful update so I'll see you then as always! :D
