Tower of Despair - Finished!

Yes, I finally finished all the damn floors and placed bosses on every tenth, it feels so nice to have that done and behind me now so I can focus on other things. xD

The last dungeon is also all finished, so only the final boss battle remains along with the endings, that January release date feels even more possible now than before!

  1. Awesome news - congratulations and thank you for all the time and effort!

May I inquire as to how you handled the issue you raised earlier in this blog: did you make 50 floors, 100 floors with the last 50 mirrored from the first, or 100 unique floors?

    Thanks!

    1. Its more like 40 unique floors, the last 40 looks like the first 40 but has different chests, enemies and "color" to it.
Its still counts as 100 floors though, since quite a few of them have seperate sections you can only reach with different spawns.

    2. Awesome! Thanks for sharing that insight, Although if by "color" you mean different elements like paintings, furnishings or non-interactive objects, I would still argue that each represents a unique floor!

  4. Hopefully some of the endings are rewarding to the evil characters. Loved having the whole family at my beck and call in the original game.

  5. Wow, you are working at a great speed! I'm so excited for this! You stick to your principals and you do so much extra work both for us and more importantly for your story. You really are an admirable creator!
    Go Gabe Go!

  7. Really looking forward to the game! But please don't think you have to work yourself sick just to make the deadline, Gabe, we're perfectly willingly to wait a little longer for a truly awesome game. If you can make the January deadline that's awesome, but if you need a little more time to finish it then take the extra time, we don't want you hurting yourself just to finish the game for us. =3

Will this game be like the others, in that you can insert your own music into the audio directory? It probably will be, most RPG Maker games are like that, but I just thought I'd ask to be sure.

Also, this has nothing to do with the game, but I think you're an awesome person. You don't need to be doing this for us, yet you're spending your hard-earned free time to do this. So thank you, thank you very much.

    1. I'm working harder than ever before to reach the deadline so I can get the third game started and pitch my idea to a crowdfunder site. :)

    2. Well if you are looking for one of those, Kickstarter seems to be a pretty good one. Thanks once again for making a truly epic series!

    3. Kickstarter aren't allowing adult content, so I'm going with Offbeatr. :)
