Legend of Queen Opala: Origin - Monthly Poll Results

Tuesday update with your monthly poll results!
Support me and production of the LoQO games at - Patreon

This month it was asked which your favorite game version to play in LoQO: Origin - Episode I was, with a total of 2113 votes gathered!

Western Edition
Won by 40%, being 862 of the votes.
Beastman Mode
Second, 33% with 716 of the votes.
Eastern Edition

Last with 25%, being 535 of the votes.

All in all, I think the results were pretty close to each other which goes to show none of the versions are completely useless and not used or preferred by anyone. x3

So! I hope you all had a good start at the new year! I managed to be able to release the new beta I hinted at last week, and shared it with the supporters on the final day of last year! Me, I've been doing my thing like usual and watching GamesDoneQuick since it began the other day, they'll sadly be distracting me for this week and probably have me focusing on finishing off more trading cards in the meantime instead.

I'd also like to make a small shoutout for a fellow adult game maker who is currently running a crowdfunding for his project Slice of Venture 2, more competition never harms and ensures us old, cranky "veterans" in the industry stays on our toes and doesn't get lazy. ;)

And with this first update of 2016, I'll see you again next week!

    1. Hehe, sounds like Episode II might be dangerous for your health. x3

    2. Well then i guess i live for danger. And hey i'm curious, have you ever tryed some of the tricks you've seen on GDC i know i have the results were so and so :P

    3. Hmm...I can't recall trying something I've seen so far, I'd like to think of myself as a very good gamer, but not so much with speedruns. xD

    4. Eeh, speedrun or not some of the tricks just make you go wow that was awesome i want to do that.

    1. Episode II should hopefully be out sometime late this year.

  4. Interesting as a gamer I never like those people who try to do those quick challenges. I mean it's cool and all when you beat the game in a creative way but it don't seem that pleasing to watch, maybe it's the crowd I don't like LOL

    1. I had that attitude too before I actually watched it, it was way more fun than I thought it'd be. x3

    2. You think so ? I might give it another chance

      Delete
    3. Yeah! I thought speedrunning kinda ruined the whole point of gaming since you're supposed to take your time and enjoy it...but I was wrong, some of the things they can pull off require mad skill and is just fascinating to watch. ^^

  5. With all those votes for Osira, you'll have to title the next game "Legend of Queen Osira".

Look at it this way, at least the acronym won't change.

    1. You know people would play that you can be Osira favorite monster helper or Osira herself that would be really fun LOL

    2. Come to think of it I don't know of any H-RPG games that feature a female protagonist that is "evil" and doesn't view sex as something negative, atleast at the start.

Well maybe except Vitamin Quest but in that one you just fuck any NPC you come across and the sex scenes aren't really as meaningful as in Gabe's games.

    3. Hmm, maybe an idea to use as a spinoff game, smaller but more focused than the main series. :D

      Delete
    4. Hey you be surprise of spinoff sometimes there more notice then the main series. It would interesting to see Osira travel to different places, worlds, or timelines because she is a powerful magic user. I would to see some of these characters interact in a Sci-fi world if that could happen.

      Delete
    5. An Osira-centric spinoff game does sound like a good idea Gabe. It could also be an opportunity to reinterpret her use of monster essence from a gameplay perspective. In this game she could use it to perhaps augment her learned magical abilities, or to grow her base stats outside of combat.

    6. Or go the lazy yet surprisingly true route...have it refill MP. XD

  6. I am thankful to Naluna for bringing us the young Farah, I wonder how much she is a slave to the An'Terra I wanna find a way to have her become fertile, then she wont have any reason to hate anymore :D
Also wondering how we will get Laquadia make a turnaround^^

basically looking forward to all characters, they are all very likable imo^^ I hope there wont any characters that exclude others from the party >.>

Also have fun watching AGDQ they are really addicting to watch

    1. I honestly can't remember much but, Naluna was the girl in the OP armor from the first two games right? Did I miss something? I don't remember it being said that she brought Teen Farah to the future.

    2. Yes that's her and it's not outright said but highly hinted at that it whas her, in the conversation you have with Ophala after you free her from the brothel.

      Delete
    3. *farah, not Opala......sorry I couldn't resist.

      Delete
    4. *Well actually its young Farah.... couldn't resist either.

But seriously thanks for the correction!

    5. Oh that's right, I completely forgot about that too.

  7. Damn, I hope there is an "ample" amount of Layla in Episode 2! Will she be getting her trading cards in for E2?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Certainly! Every main female gets at least ten trading cards each, it was one of the achieved Patreon milestones. ;)

  9. I think people are getting confused, the Layla in Origins is not the same as the Layla from LOQO2. This Layla is a mare and the mother of Eclipse the Horseman.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There really should be a Layla the Mare in ther to avoid that >_>

      Delete
    2. I would hope most people who played the first episode of Origin would realize that. ;3

      Delete
  10. As much as I love both Opala and Osira I simply had to vote for Layla this time 'round. The "milf-mare's" introduction in EP 1 was frustratingly brief, and I would like for her to finally meet Devon so that I can start romancing her.

  11. Never was fan of Sparrow's art. It's always some kind of mess with rubber ragdoll characters, even though Gabe mostly keeps his style under control in LOQO scenes.
Still one day when Gabe will be getting 20 thousands on Patreon, lizardman could be added and I'll switch to Beastman edition.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But Beastman Edition isn't drawn by Sparrow, it's drawn by Studio-Pirate who was the Western Edition artist of LoQO 2 and the main artist for LoQO.

Unless of course you mean you don't like Sparrow's art, but won't switch to BE because you don't like playing as a Horse/Bull/Wolfman.

      Delete
    2. Wait, scenes for Origins aren't made by Sparrow? I've made myself an idiot then.
      >you don't like playing as a Horse/Bull/Wolfman
Wolfman is cute, but still not my cup of tea.

      Delete
    3. No, what we are saying is, origins has three versions. The western version is sparrows' artwork. The Eastern version is someone else and Beast man version is done by studio pirate. Sparrow does all the trading cards across all three though.

  12. Latex won't return in this game finally? :(

  13. I've been hopping for quite a while so I may as well ask about it. Will there ever be a gender-bent mode? (Obviously in the next game if you make another) and by gender-bent I mean female protagonist with plenty of men to romance.

PS: I love your work so much that I can't even think of the right words to say to tell you how much I love your work.

    1. Teen Farah was originally meant to be the protagonist in Origin but the feedback for that idea wasn't the greatest, but now a spin-off with Osira as the protag...antag...main character, could be on the table after Origin. :3

      Delete
    2. Hey Osira is a "G", she is cult fan favorite :)

      Delete
    3. EEEEEEEEEEEEE i wouldn't go so far In fact she's quite annoying sometimes......

      Delete
    4. I like Osira but I'd like her a lot more if she could be sort of redeemed or if she could learn to love the protagonist even if their moral compass is different. Trying to romance Osira in loqo 2 felt so weird because I had to choose all the options that go against the way I role play my character. "Oh you had sex with your dad to gain power over him? I can understand. You tried to kill Opala? Gotta do what you gotta do. Oh you want to cuckold all of humanity using monsters and make me your personal slave? That's hot!" T_T

.....well the slave part isn't THAT bad :D

      Delete
    5. Or you know you can just not do that. At least save it for the evil playthrough, but then for me it's even more of a reason to tell Osira to fuck of.

      Delete
    6. True but playing through Loqo 2 takes a LONG time. And the scenes while more loqo 1 are still far between. So I try unlocking as many as I can whenever I can. Plus I'm very anime minded so if I can make a harem (or at least bang everyone) I will do it :)

  14. Characterwhise who would you say resembles you the most Gabe (despite Gabrielle ofc)?
And who would it be sexualwhise (fetishes, lifestyle etc.).
To make things more interesting who of the three egyptian ladies would you pick for each category (if you haven't already) ?
With that said happy new year guys :D

  15. Hi, Gabe!
I'm interesting is there any way to replay some scenes in LoQO:O (for example, when you collect all the shards)?
