As mentioned last time, the newest beta went live previous week on Wednesday.
Since then I've been focusing most of this time on crushing a few bugs and updating the CG Gallery with all the missing scenes and illustrations that has been part of the game so far, but not yet available for viewing in the gallery after being unlocked.
After keep hearing stories of Kythe reverting back to Kythie when starting a new game, I gave some of the mechanics a deeper look and noticed the Distress status has actually not been working properly this whole time, as it could only be cured by switching costumes for now, when it was intentionally meant to also go away when sleeping/resting.
But since the problem has been found, it has also been fixed, for the next beta that is!
And since Cecily has now been added, what did you guys think of her?
I fear that is all I have to share for this short, little Tuesday update.
So with that, see you next week as always!
I feel like Cecily must be protected at all times and you should not do anything bad to her in your game. If something is done to her by nefarious people, they must be dealt with swiftly and painfully.
ReplyDeleteSo protective! ;3

DeleteWell you made her our mom and you made her so nice and sweet and caring, AND you want to make her pure? In the world you created and put her in she HAS to be protected. If something happens she needs to be saved immediately. And if nefarious sex stuff is to happen, I think the only way I’d be comfortable with it is if you made sex not be as big a deal to her kind of like Farah when she got kidnapped but again you made her pure so I’m worried!
DeleteOh, and if you do have something happen to her, please DO NOT let Van be the one involved in it.
Ooooh, Van got burned! XD
DeleteI like her. She’s a pretty cool character. I’m hoping that we can get a CG scene with her at some point, but if you want to stick with the “no mom sex” policy that’s totally understandable.
ReplyDeleteWe will never know...eh, who am I kidding, time will tell! :D
DeleteConsidering we can already hug her TIGHTLY from behind, I sense some nefarious plans for her... let's hope they're motherly head pats at the worst.
ReplyDeleteCurious to how she's going to be handled plot-wise, I mean, she can't just stay in the oh-so-conveniently-close-to-Colussia cottage with all the stuff going on.
Surely, there is nothing wrong with hugging someone TIGHTLY from behind! It's all about what you do with your hips at that crucial, life changing moment!
DeleteYa but there's still one major game breaking glitch that hasn't been addressed and that's the fact that my PC can't access a couple of dozen Gabrielle scenes in which they enjoy each others company! :P
ReplyDeleteIn fact that's a problem with every game, Witcher 3 shitty game not enough scene with Gabrielle, jade empire shitty game not enough scene with Gabrielle!
Well, no pressure the eventual scene between the protagonist and Gabrielle has to be good, then! ;D
DeleteHahahaha..............you misspelled scenes! :P
DeleteI see what you did there... ;P
DeleteRight back at you, i've
Delete...sceen your handy wotk!
More horsecock is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteWoo! Birfday update!
ReplyDeleteAnd I liked Cecily, she's one adorable MILF.
Thanks, and Happy Birthday! :3
DeleteInteresting I dont know how I miss it that week, It's good to iron out the bugs in the game.
ReplyDeleteAlways is!
DeleteCecily is obviously a stroke, no pun intended, *snicker* of brilliance. Van will have to be fed his balls if he even looks at her wrong, just saying. Yet, I wonder if you plan on adapting her for a beast play through. I mean unless PC dad is/was a beastman. It just felt strange giving her a hug from behind as a beastman since she's human and not a sugary sweet and innocent beastlady. Even so, I really hope you don't stick a scimitar in our hearts with your plans for Cecily. The only thing worse than Van laying his filthy eyes or hands on her would be to find out that Crayden is *gasp no please no* pc's real daddy ;) Other than that, can hardly wait for the next bombshell beta release.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I already hate Van for how he treated Beatrix and the princess. If he even so much as mentions Cecily he should get severely beaten down on the spot. And that’s me being merciful.
DeleteNah, Crayden can't be your dad since that would raise some really weird questions if you play as beastman or as a black guy. xD
DeleteI had a thought for a moment that we could be the previous emperor's son since Cecily lives right next to the castle. My black Devon might get a bit confused if that were the case.
DeleteI am glad Crayden isn't Devon's daddy, so does this mean Devon's dad has no part in this tale? Yeah, with Cecily being Dev's mom, dad would have to be a three headed beastman with three sets of appropriate genitalia which would be, well, probably not within the scope of the game if you play beastman. Seems that Devon's daddy will need to remain a vague mystery since Cecily is fixed as human woman. And I suppose I *might* reconsider my intense dislike of Van once you give us more info about Van's background. I mean Masquerade is understandable given her tale of what happened to her as a girl in darkthorn keep. Van obviously has similar issues, but I'm sure once we learn more about Van, opinions will change ;)
Deletewhat i think abaout cecily? i want to give her wolf.. i mean i love her,btw
ReplyDeletei want to tell you a love this game great work!, but a im a little pissed about choices in sex scenes, little content and you have to miss half of the scenes maybe adding more events for play that missed ones whould have been better and that random guard stole me masquerade!! but aweome game :P
Choices have more impact that way, you know. ;3
DeleteI want to applaud you, Gabe, on the great work I've had the pleasure of experiencing this last week. I held off on the last beta, so I was able to experience the story from departing Odidania to the end of the current beta.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you've written Van. It's good to have someone with principles who isn't easily swayed by the protagonist. It's a great bit of perspective from someone who hasn't seen what we have.
I do love Cecily, of course. I kept on visiting her to see if her dialogue updated, and I didn't see any new options. I would love to be able to give her occasional updates on things, either intentionally leaving her in the dark or confiding the truth in her. I want to bring her to Warrenguard for protection. Maybe we can get ambushed when leaving her cottage, or arrive to find someone trying to capture her.
I was actually surprised when I met Van. Everyone seemed to make him out as this terrible villain but when I met him, I felt the same as you.
DeleteVan isn’t about principles though. He’s loyal to Crayden and hates nobles and royalty. Beatrix has principles which is why she still followed Crayden but once she learned the truth she changed sides and she was fair and hesitant. But as for Van? As soon as Beatrix and the protagonist turned against Crayden he showed no love for his former comrades and took sadistic pleasure in their punishment and was perfectly fine with killing our companions. He was happy about the capture of Beatrix daughter and taunted her about it while she was raped. He was even fine with the treatment of the princess, who was the secret daughter of a benevolent ruler who was going to help the homeless, who even with her noble/royal upbringing that he hates was innocent yet treated like the worst criminal and raped, possibly dead already which I hope she’s not.
DeleteNow he actually believes that Crayden means well and believes his lies, but it was still way too easy for Van to accept all this evil shit. Crayden himself has more principles to me than Van. At this point Van isn’t a villain that I like but a villain that pisses me off and needs to go, right now.
I totally agree with you until the end. Why does Van need to "go"? He's a character with a purpose. I'm assuming that since he is romancable, he isn't going to stay the same, but everything you just described about him I feel makes him a more interesting character. I want to learn more about him because of that. Why does a seemingly reasonable guy do these terrible things? I don't think the initial responce should be "fuck this guy and everything he stands for" and telling Gabe that he "should go". That can really only serve as being harmful to the development of the game. If he was badly written or poorly portrayed, then yes, I understand there is criticism to be had, but using your discontent, which is arguably very subjective, to prove a very objective point, I feel like you really devalue your argument.
DeleteI wasn’t demanding that Gabe take him out of the game. I just hate him and want him to go for my continued enjoyment of the game, as in I’m ready for him to get killed off or imprisoned. Because I’m not interested in why he’s fine with Beatrix getting raped and kidnapping her daughter, I’m more concerned that he IS fine with it and I want to stop him from doing it to other characters. His original character description may have been interesting but his actions have just gone too far and Gabe would have to do a lot to change my judgement. But I wasn’t seriously telling Gabe to take him out of the game or anything. I’m not that entitled. Also since when is he romanceable?
DeleteFair enough. Perhaps I overextended my point. I can see your issue with him. Also I'm assuming he's romancable since he has the heart icon next to him (i think? not 100% sure) and I think it was heavily implied by Gabe he was going to be.
DeleteWell he could turn out to be a girl, or a futa, or he is really a guy and this would be something huge.
DeleteI was very interested by his stance on the rapes. He oversaw Beatrix's punishment, but didn't partake. This could be because he doesn't have junk. He seemed very uninterested both then and in his description of Francesca. We are in a world where sex is viewed quite differently from what we're used to and individual values vary significantly. The immediate impression I got was that he was good at following orders and lacked a significant moral compass. I can see how it would be taken a lot of different ways, though, since at least our character tends to take stances against rape (aside from a couple renegade options).
DeleteI think Van was never really loved, especially given his loner status. I figure we'll refuse to finish him off and give him a taste of sympathy, then maybe we can go from there.
Maybe, but I don’t think my judgement of his character will change unless Gabe can write it in a way that somehow changes my mind. I’m usually fine with or open to changing enemies to the good side, but sometimes enemies will do certain things that just makes me no longer want to do that. It usually happens with a combination of doing something really fucked up and for a weak or stupid reason (stupid to me anyway). So even if the story goes in a direction to show us that Van was treated bad as a child so that’s why he is the way he is and showing sympathy to him may show him the error of his ways, that wouldn’t really matter to me. Because when I look at Van I think, you watched your former comrade get raped and while you did not partake in it (since you might be a girl and you’re keeping it secret) you still were happy and took pleasure in seeing them punished and taunting them about having caught their daughter and how you imprisoned an innocent princess to be raped by the worst in the army and monsters and possibly be dead(I think, don’t quite remember the situation but she is imprisoned and seems to have been raped for a long time).
DeleteNow, if Van was raised in a culture where rape was normal or acceptable (and while this is the Loqo world it is still seen as wrong) and if Beatrix was seen to truly be some evil enemy from his point of view and if he had some misunderstanding about the princess thinking she was bad, then maybe I could forgive him and accept his redemption. But from what was revealed it seems he was raised in colussia or in some normal (for Loqo) culture. He may be a loner but Beatrix was part of the army and she and the protagonist believe their betrayal was justified rather than for evil reasons and he should be able to see that. But he is loyal to Crayden, he’s upset that they went against Crayden period and shrugs off their warnings about his evil plan as paranoia. So he knows that they betrayed Crayden for what they think are good reasons but still doesn’t care and is happy to see Beatrix raped and kidnap her daughter. And he knows the princess is innocent but he simply hates her because she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth (which may or may not be true since she was kept hidden from the public). He just hates all nobility since he came from poverty. And just because of that he’s fine with an innocent person getting imprisoned and raped. I really don’t see any principles here, maybe his loyalty to Crayden but instead of doing all this shit out of just loyalty or being raised in a way to think that everything they are doing is normal and just, it seems to be that he is just fucked up combined with his loyalty and belief in Crayden that causes him to do this.
Damn, sorry I made that so long. Wasn’t trying to make a page out of it.
DeleteWe do have a prison for him in Warrenguard, or we could give him to Osira to be used in her fight against Laquadia/serpent god. We don't have to kill him and we don't have to redeem him. I wonder what Gabe has in mind.

ReplyDeleteHello, Gabriel
ReplyDeleteWhen do you expect this chapter would be complete by then? Just want to know if the progress is now come nearly the completion the game.
Cecily is a lovely character, don't want to see anything bad happen to her. But it feel kinda weird that the protagonist's home is near Colussia but he never go back for 10 years, maybe he got sent to somewhere far all this time? Cecily lives near the capital but seems never heard anything about what had happened in Colussia, is it something gonna add in the future? And Crayden bother to escort Elin back from a far away area but never thought touching the lovely neighborhood housewife. But still, I really like this game.
ReplyDeleteCecily is a great introduction to game cause the other LOQO protagonists didn't have a family background.Plus with the castle being completed maybe she can move there to avoid any troubles with the empire.Anyway i loved the text and the ''innocent'' flirt between mother and son XD.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the game so far and yet there is one thing that has been nagging me for a while now and it's about Van. Now bear in mind this is my own personal speculation so take it with a grain of salt. I believe that Van is in fact a woman and not a man. I get that feeling since in Blackgate Prison Van shows no interest in or arousal from Beatrix getting raped by the guards.Pair that with the rather effeminate appearance and I wouldn't be surprised if Van was indeed a woman in disguise. As for the reason why i do have a theory but I will not speak upon that until I get a bit more information about the character.
ReplyDeletehow i can get this game?
ReplyDeleteGabe, can you give an option to change the mc's name after the using the orb of restoration?
ReplyDeleteSince it's possible to start a new game+ with a different race, it would be nice to give an option to change the name as well.
Cheers, and thx for the game.
hey gabe. i have a question. are we going to see quests for our party members? so far only a curtain busty cat has offered a quest and that was before she was a member and more of a follower. i can think of at lest of 2. one can get the howling moon clan booted out of the temple. the second he getting to do a heist with big boobed bandit. though i figed one was to happen i just wanted to offer my 2 cents.
