A whoooooole new world! A fantastic yadda yadda...

Alright, so plenty more work has been done on the worldmap over the week.
I also tried out frame-rate and loading times by adding the entire LoQOII map to it, and I couldn't see any issues at all so it'll be added as an expansive bonus!
You can see an early preview of the worldmap below, but its far from finished as I still need to add a big chunk of the Frozen Continent above the Beldorian Empire and add some coastal stuff along with some additional islands.

It might seem odd to have it stretched out like that, although if you imagine the eastern part of Namaria and the western part of the Beldorian Empire connected to the Land of Savages we can't see and then vision the world as round (which make sense), it might seem more logical.
It's also possible I'll tweak Namaria a bit to add in more detail, it'll mostly be parts you can see.

And that's another update rounded up!

    1. Something about US and Russia looks odd there...

  5. so to clarify:

the south-west quadrant of the Beldorian continent connects to the north-east quadrant of the Namarian continent?

and will this area be filled out or is this part of another expansion game?

    1. Based on this week's and last week's posts, those desert regions are edges of a bigger, unseen Land of Savages. Like the rest of the Frozen Continent it just hasn't been fully made yet.

However, we will probably not go to the Land of Savages since Gabe thinks it deserves its own game.

  6. Found a glitch in 3.01. If you use Submit on Beatrix (possibly if she ever gets distressed at all, but definitely if you use Submit), it won't display properly, and then the next time you go into battle she'll be in the mercenary outfit.

    1. In addition: if you go back to camp and put her back into another outfit, she will look like that (though not if she's distressed), except in the save game screen. To fix that, you need to change her outfit to the mercenary outfit, then change her back to whatever you wanted her to wear.

  7. okay, i have a question, and it has been bugging me for a while. bare in mind i have not read all the various updates so this may have been covered at an earlier date.

you mention the land of savages frequently throughout the various games, with the exception of the first. and even point it out here. so does this mean that the next chapter could see us entering the land itself? because i for one would be very interested in seeing that.

    thank you for your time

    1. The plan is for each individual game to take place in a different nation, so LoQOIII would be set in the Land of Savages. :)
