Bring the popcorn, today's update will be another good one!

I quite literally just started this post after finishing the photostudio mechanic.
Some aspects of how the camera works has been tweaked to feel a bit better to use and I've introduced two new items in the Rewards section of the Encyclopedia in relation to the camera.
The Leather Leash mechanic has also been added and can be used with the "slaves" you hook up to your throne/wall in your private quarter of Castle Warrengard, with the first time per character triggering a small cutscene while subsequential uses let you play it out again without dialogue.

On top of that, I've gone over interactables that had "hidden" options until you got the right item.
Now it'll instead list the hidden option as locked and tell you the specific unlock condition if you click them, such as teleportation from crystals describing the feature is gained by winning the Scholar Quiz in Port Ronod, hopefully this will be helpful to new players!

And with that, I'll be back again with another update next Tuesday!

    1. 99% of the time that's fine as long as there's nothing new that causes game breaking issues.

    2. Of course sometimes Gabe places little things that fix such issues. Like when you put in codes into the clock at the tavern in Colusia. (If I remember right. It's been a while since I played lol) Gabe had an issue at one point where if you saved after a certain point the scenes at the Lord High Gathering wouldn't play right so she had a code put into that clock to set the flag off that started that scene. I THINK that was it anyway.

    1. The latest version allows you to visit the Frozen Continent, so yes. You're a bit behind.

    1. If it is likely Gabe either put it in her notes here on the blog somewhere or they are in the version notes you get with the Beta.

  4. Is this in the current version of the game or in the beta

    1. These updates typically reflect either the Beta or features that will be put into the next Beta release. Next public release isn't due for some time. A year or more at least. Currently Gabe is working on Episode 4 which is the final episode. Not counting any Gold edition she releases later if there is one. The first 3 episodes are released publicly and collectively they encompass a larger game so far than either of Gabe's 2 previous LoQO games.

    1. Most of the time saves are transferable. The only time they aren't is when Gabe changes something that breaks them like moving an object in the environment which may break your save. Just go to the file marked Saves in your LoQOO folder copy it then paste it into the new version.

  7. How do I know which art I will be seeing when playing the game? I really enjoy sethxzoe’s art and I see there’s a lot of different artists.

    1. You choose what kind of artwork you want to use when you start the game on a fresh savefile. Note that SethxZoe doesn't have all artwork added yet, so some artwork is replaced by Sparrow's (at least if you're human - not sure what gets used instead if you're a beastman).

    2. Okay! When do you think SethxZoe will have his art finished? I’m probably gonna support the patron so I can play the game so I’m curious

    3. Also, are the games all different or does the latest version include all the story?

    4. No idea when SethxZoe will be finished, to be perfectly honest. I can only hope soon, as it's my personal favorite artwork as well.

Each game is stand alone - LOQO 1 is about one character, LOQO 2 is about another and LOQO:O is about a third guy. While there's some information to be obtained from the other games, it's not a deal breaker if you haven't played them.

    5. LoQO 1 is set in Egypt and sets the roles of Osira, Opala and Farah. (The Elder Farah) LoQO 2 is set in another Kingdom and is played around another main protagonist.
LoQO Origins is set in a Third Kingdom and is linked to the other 2 and seems to be set a few years after the second game. Each game is standalone. The Episodes of the latest game are merely sections of the game that have been currently release to the public (AKA non beta players). By playing the latest episode you are playing the game which is complete up to the end of that episode. So playing Episode 3 includes Episodes 1 and 2 so you don't need to download them.

Betas are complete from Episode one to 3 and include elements that Gabe has completed in progress towards episode 4. So playing a Beta means you don't need to Download Episode 3.
