It's kinda sad when I have to bring something like this up.
Usually I can shrug off negative feedback and false statements since I don't have to prove anything, my work does it for me, but it's when it gets under my skin and I start to doubt myself that things get a bit more complicated.
I'm referring to the accusations that I've become slower since I started up my Patreon, and hearing whispers for months have made me wondering if there was actually any truth to that...and in a twist that should surprise no one, there isn't!
So, let's deal with the subject like adults and bring out the facts, shall we? ;)
Officially Announced - Sometime in 2011
Officially Released - Friday, February 7, 2014
Production time - Approximately 3 years
This game was made without funding and I worked full time on it since I at the time was unemployed and had nothing else to do with my life. ;P
LoQO:O Episode I
Officially Announced - Tuesday, February 11, 2014
Officially Released - Sunday, August 30, 2015
Production Time - 1 year, 6 months
This part was made with Offbeatr crowdfunding and I worked full time as I considered it my job, the end product had nearly the same amount of locations as LoQOII, less story but more CG scenes.
LoQO:O Episode II
Officially Announced - Tuesday, September 15, 2015
Officially Released - Saturday, April 8, 2017
Production Time - 1 year, 7 months
This part was made with Patreon funding and I worked full time as I considered it my job, the end product about equal in size with LoQOII but with more locations and far more CG scenes.
Seeing this list of my past work...where exactly do people find I've gotten slower?
This surely won't end the discussion, but seeing this for myself is enough for me to not feel bad about it anymore and allows me to ignore people talking behind my back about it with good conscious.
And with that, the topic has been dropped and won't never need to be brought up again.
So in other news, I'm sure you might've noticed the new layout of the blog! I'm also getting back to working on episode III now after my short "vacation" and is currently laying out the remaining worldmap for the Beldorian Empire. :3
So with that, I'll see you again next week!
